| Yay. You're back! I was wondering where you'd got to. Glad you've arrived at WDW. Sounds like a fabulous start. You've got me fantasising about Figaro Fries.

| Great installment! I don't know why I didn't think to do this, but you gave me the great idea of getting DD a pair of "My First Ears" on my next trip. Thanks!

| Day 1, Part 3: Leaving MK, Meeting up with the CLT, and Dinner w/ the Stepsisters Day 1, Part 3: Leaving MK, Meeting up with the CLT, and Dinner w/ the Stepsisters We made our way out of Tomorrowland and headed out toward the Hub to get some pictures of the Castle and the little character statues around the Partners statue. I love these little statutes and really wanted to get some good shots of them and not just do the run by and shoot technique that I normally do. First , of course, are some pictures of Cindy’s castle. ![]() Now the little statues: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We made our way down Main Street to the Train Station and tried to get a picture of the Roy and Minnie statue but there were too many people around so we just headed on out. Karen told me to take to boat over to the GF and she would meet us in the lobby near the Gingerbread House. We waited for about 15 minutes before a boat came but then took the relaxing journey over to Disney’s flagship resort. Having never entered GF from the back, we were a little unsure of exactly where to go. We started walking and just headed toward the main building. It really wasn’t that long of a walk or difficult. Just unfamiliar. We made our way into the lobby and I found Karen immediately. Hugs were exchanged and I introduced her to Tiff. She led us and her gold card concierge self (no..we weren’t a little envious or anything ) and up to the CLT’s room. We walked in and more hugs and introductions ensued. It was a great surprise to see Lesley (WDWFan) and Mitzi, her DMIL, were there as well. Of course, we were urged to go out onto the balcony to see the most incredible view. What an amazing view these girls had. I would have spent the day here as well just admiring it. We spent some time just talking and laughing over stories of Karen’s flight to Orlando and Jerry’s infatuation with Karen. Lesley and Mitzi needed to head out, and the five of us had an appointment to dine with the Cindy’s Step-mother and step-sisters, and oh yeah, Cinderella and Prince Charming. ![]() Karen checked us in and received a buzzer. We all headed out to the little courtyard right by 1900 Park Fare to talk and chuckle again. There was a reason why I took the following picture, and I am sure I will pay for it with upcoming pictures that this person took but here goes. ![]() Before we knew it, we were buzzed and led to a table in the back room. It’s like they knew who we were and didn’t want us out in the main room. Our waitress came by, introduced herself, got our drink orders, and told us about the offerings on the buffet. Something like “Dishes from Around the World”. We all headed off to get some food and were back before the characters started visiting. Sharon’s report went into detail about the character interactions. Anastasia and Drizella were a hoot, especially Anastasia. Between Cindy’s hair being a dye job, Prince Charming’s plea of “Don’t Go!”, and the whole lies and deceit birthday conversation, she was spectacular!!! Lady Tremaine had a couple of one liners that were classic. By the time Cindy and Prince Charming came around, we were far from excited to see them. Send back the step-sisters!!!! Here are our pics from the evening. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After a spectacular meal (more for character interaction as the food didn’t make an impression with me), we headed back to the concierge lounge for an after dinner drink. We all grabbed some sort of beverage of choice. I of course had my Bailey’s on the rocks. We sat at a table watching Illuminations while watching and listening to the conversations of the kids next to us and laughing over poopypants. ![]() Unfortunately, Tiff and I were getting tired and the day was taking a toll on the CLT as well. We said our good-byes and made plans to hook up at some point the next day. Tiff and I grabbed the monorail to the MK and then grabbed a bus back to SSR. We walked into a VERY stuffy room and put the thermostat down to cold levels. Our luggage had arrived during the day so we unpacked and then got ready for bed. Tiff graciously let me have the bed while she took the pull out sofa. Tiff!! Day one was now in the books and Mousefest was to begin tomorrow!!Coming up: A Late Breakfast with the Mouse, Some Classic Rides, and Resort Hopping.

| ![]() Okay, Miss Dawn... gauntlets are down! . . . You want to start something, sistah?! Oh... ho... no you DON'T! I will now be flipping through my pics from the MVMCP and cropping out Tiff and Karen who have yet to post such unflattering photos of me. Har-UMPH! Actually, I think I made that "lovely" face on purpose for some reason. ![]() And I'm loving how the "CLT" has become a noun, like "Partners Statue" or "COP"... Next thing you know, we'll have a brass plaque somewhere on property. We'll start hearing phrases like "I'll meet you by the CLT after lunch" or "The CLT seems to be down right now, better try for Soarin' FPs."C'mon. Post away. ... AAAAaaaaall the grotesque pictures you want... Eileen

| Great update, Dawn!! What a wonderful first day you had!! We have yet to experience 1900 Park Fare for dinner, but now with the character changes more appropriate for DS, I definitely think we need to make plans to visit! Can't wait to hear more
