Jookiba is LIVE! Day 6 teaser - Crush & Gusher 1, Jookiba 0!

I'm going to try to do live "teaser" reports each day but keep it short & sweet since I'll add pics when we get home & try to write a formal TR then. Not yet sure if I'll do a Photopass or not; I totally forgot to order the CD prior to leaving!

First thing I must say is DANG IS IT COLD!! And if a northerner is saying that, it's FRIGID!! When we first got here we were just wearing thinnish long sleeved T-shirts. I really didn't think we'd need our arctic winter coats, gloves, hats, etc. BOY WAS I WRONG!! I hope it warms up really soon because we left all that gear at home!

Second, WHERE DID ALL THESE PEOPLE COME FROM??!! I thought they'd be GONE by now-NOPE! When we first got started today (probably around noon) it was elbow to elbow at the Magic Kingdom. We got fast passes for Space Mountain at noon with a return time of 8:50PM!! We then tried hopping over to MGM; that was even more abhorrable-the standby line for RnRc was 2 hours; ToT was 90 minutes!!

None of us slept last night-so with the combination of no sleep, frigid temps, and cranky crowds, we threw in the towel, came back to Pop Century, got our luggage, and CRASHED! That was exactly what we needed-but we overslept and almost missed our ADR at Chef Mickey's. What gave me a giggle was DS' choices of food tonight. DD and I enjoyed the prime rib with parmesan mashed potatoes (simply divine!!), the chocolate Mickey-shaped things, bread pudding, and ice cream. DS started off with the Mickey-shaped ravioli (good enough), parmesan mashed taters, then get this-an apple and a banana......a kid, eating fruit, on vacation!! He finished his plate off with some ice cream & a slice of chocolate cake-but I couldn't believe he ate fruit first!

We headed out, with four layers of hoodies on each of us, for our evening adventures. The crowd was much more manageable, the castle lights are just breath-taking, and we saw an absolute first tonight-Wishes! Those who know me personally and know the situation will understand when I say I stood there in awe, with my babies, all of us arms together, and bawled. If everything we all suffered thru for four years meant something, it was this-to just stand in awe at such a majestic sight-and to be at the Happiest Place on Earth with two of the people I love the most.

Many Kudos to MemoriesbyBetsy as her baskets were a great hit-I will gladly send pics of what she made for my kids to anyone who is interested.

More Kudos to DME & the Pop Century staff. We touched down at 10:05AM today......and were completely checked in, ROOM READY, by 11:15!!

I am going to hit the hay soon as we're planning to get up early & head to the Animal Kingdom-looks like it won't be warm enough tomorrow for a water park. I'm REALLY hoping some pixie dust gets these temps warm!! I'm also really excited as tomorrow night we get to eat at LeCellier!! WOOHOO!!!

Till tomorrow, my friends.....

Well, I hope as I type this, eating my boring salad, that you are dining lavishly on Le Cellier! It almost seems like there isn't a low crowd time of year anymore, huh? I love the live updates, keep 'em coming!

I'm glad you made it safe and sound. I can relate to the cold at WDW. One year we had to wear 3 layers lunder our winter coats and we were still cold. I love live updates. Can't wait to read more.
