Cheryl - It was so nice to run into the 2 of you. We had just finished breakfast at Boma and were heading out to look at the savannahs. I think some of the best meets I had during Mousefest were the unplanned ones. They were ususally one on one and gave you a chance to really visit. I can't wait to see you in Chicago this fall!

Loved the pictures of the AKL - we never got to see the performers over at AK but it looked like a great experience....definetly something to try to catch on the next trip....

Those performers are great. We love them. We ran into Wes Palm a few years ago and it is now one of my youngest favorite things to look for when at AK so needless to say we have spent many trips hunting Wes down.

Well, now you've got me wanting to stay at AKL. I'm going to have to do a lot of intending to get that all lined up. Again, wonderful photos.

I love seeing your photos; you take pictures of a lot of the same details that I do. I'll see one and say, "I have that photo!" or "I took a picture of that, but from a different angle."

We haven't stayed at AKL (yet!) but we did go to AKL for dinner in September. I can't wait to introduce my family to its wonderous decor (not to mention the food at Boma!)

Great pictures, I've never seen those performers-I'll be watching for them this summer. We like CS too, except everytime I'm there it's for a conference and I'm so busy I don't get to enjoy the hotel.

All caught up again Cheryl! Your pictures of the acrobats are amazing; you've captured the motion and tension in their poses perfectly. And thanks so much for the garland pictures at Coronado Springs. I've developed a total Disney garland obsession. I love 'em! But, inquiring minds want to know, just like Melissa, did you become a tree hugger on this trip with Wes?

Tuesday 11 December – part three: active gorillas and fighting tigers

The line for Kilimanjaro Safaris was 30 minutes, so we picked up Fastpasses and headed for the Pangani Forest Trail instead.

This had to be one of the best times we’ve ever had on this trail. We were just saying about how little activity we had seen from the gorillas and how disappointed we were when at the last corner, we got a lot of activity from two male gorillas, as you can see from these photos. We were just captivated with what was going on in front of us.

We walked through to Asia, finding Baloo on the way…

… and then we spotted DeVine. What a day it had already been for finding characters and animals and it was about to get better…

Our next stop was the Maharajah Jungle Trek and here we found the tigers in fine form, They were all out and about, just having been fed and Mark even managed to get a shot of two of them fighting. That’s something you don’t see every day.

Look at those fighting!

The rest of our Jungle Trek:

Next: our best safari ever
