| Our 1st Day at the Parks... After a little redo I had our schedule back on track (I had to change a bit since we never made it to HS the day before...I really did not think it would matter much...in the end I had to give up something that I really wanted but that is for later). Now I wanted to make RD....it didn't happen, I did however try to rush the morning along so I went and picked up breakfast while my sister got ready and packed everything and the bathroom sink in her bag....no Rd but I did get them on the bus by 9:15. We pulled up to MK around 9:40...made it through the gates and there it was...Main Street and the Castle...it was just like I always imagined it would be like...the girls with big smiles on their faces, my nephew jumping up and down...and yes, me crying at the sight. (I know second time tears and we just got there yesterday) but this moment was etched in my mind for so long...there is something so magical about standing on that Street....seeing the Castle in all it's glory. And it looked beautiful... http://www.passporterboards.com/foru...1&d=1200458073 We stood for a while and and just took in the sights...then we made it over to one of the stores so the kids could get some autograph books and we could start our day... Well the kids went bonkers in the store...like kids in a candy store but this time it was Disney. It wasn't that they wanted to buy everything...I think it was just they were in awe...so mcuh Disney in one place... So they browsed, and tried on....I think they looked really good in their choice of hats... http://www.passporterboards.com/foru...1&d=1200458225 Once they had their fun...and picked out their autograph books we were off... We ventured into Adventureland first....the kids were just so excited...heck I was excited....just as we were walking towards the Jungle Cruise (our 1st ride of our Disney Trip) we saw Rafiki and Timon....so we jumped on the small line and before we knew it the kids had their first meeting with some characters. They took pictures, got autographs and gave hugs...it was perfect.... Next up on the way towards our cruise was Princess Jasmine...(now this was all my oldest was waiting for...so my Princess Jasmine got to meet Princess Jasmine and they had fun taking pictures...Aladdin showed up and Princess Jasmine introduced him to the other Jasmine....it was great). When we finally got to the Jungle Cruise we decided to FP...the wait wasn't that bad and we got to enjoy the rest of Adventure Land while we waited (minus POC since it was being renovated We walked through the Swiss Family Robinson House and rode the Magic Carpets teice and then it was time...the Cruise was great (this was one of the few memories I have of our last trip) and I loved it just as much...so did the kids. Once done we grabbed a snack and headed for Splash Mountain...now my big one does not do any rides that bump, drop or turn so she decided to check out the stores...at this point my nephew was not sure he wanted to do it so he and my sister went to do BMRR (which my daughter at that point did not want to do...she wanted a 5 story drop but was unsure of the RR)... Anyway the line wasn't bad and within 15 minutes we were getting in our boat...after twisting my arms around my little one (who just looked so small at this point) we were ready to go... Amazing...I loved this ride, my little girl loved this ride....and there she was with her hands in the air (mine was busy holding her body in the boat) as we went down. After their thrills we ventured over to Tom Sawyer's Island (something my big one would enjoy)...we spent quite some time here...it was cool and after my brief panic in the cave (did I mention that dark, enclosed spaces do not agree with me...lol) we made it out. I think we wandered the island for over an hour or so before we decided to head back to shore. Off to Fantasyland...I must stop here to say we had great crowds this whole trip, lines were short...never waiting more than 15 minutes. We covered everything in Fantasyland and thensome...I think we did some of the rides like 3 times in a row...it was great. Hunger finally set in so we were off to Cosmic Ray's....this place was so cute and the music was playing....this was the first place we hit crowds....but neverless we found a table and all split 2 chicken strip meals. Since we were near Tommorrow Land we grabbed FP's for SM (wasn't sure who was going on) and then skipped over to do Stitch and our first of many rides on Buzz... With oour FP time approaching we headed back....now my sister and nephew were going on and I have fond memories of this ride...(When I was 12 I had met this boy while on our vacation...our parents let us do a lot of exploring together and after our 1st ride on SM...he took my hand and kissed me. Now...if you ask me his name I can't remember but my grandmother has a vivid memory and she thinks it was Brain...so if Brain was out there....I enjoyed our 1st ride together...lol) Ok...stop reminising....my little one just hit the height requirement and said I am a big girl mom...come on I can do this. So there we went through our FP queue (the big one was...can you guess....shopping) and when we got to the front I suddenly remembered..."Wait....I can't sit with her on this ride"....well the mom in me started to panic...I mean it is dark and loud, I would not know if she was still in her seat until we got back from our trip through Space. So I tried to persaude her that maybe she did not want to do this...she does not like the dark much...especially without mommy near her...but no my little 5 year old said she was ready. Ok but your mommy isn't ready I wanted to scream but before I knew it she was in her car in front of me... Now we all know those bard that fit tightly against your legs....well I needed to hold my baby...so there I was reaching as far forward as I could so I could at least hold on to her shoulders...at least it would be peace of mind that she was still in her seat right? Well the ride started, the dark came and I heard her scream...yes she was screaming but laughing and I was holding on to her for dear life (or what I could hold on to of her shoulders)....now she was having fun but I know that a part of her was saying I should have listened to my mother...as she was not enjoying the dark... "Mom are the lights coming on soon....." she would yell inbetween screams... Well we made it through Space and got off the ride and she said she liked it but she did not want to go on again...at least not until I could sit with her....(maybe she will get her wish when they redo the ride....) We got back into the light and my sister, daughter and some strange people are looking at me...a smile grows across my sister's face and she starts laughing... Ok you want to knwo why they are laughing...well I guess wearing worn out denim shorts (well my daughter's worn out denim shorts) on SM with a bar holding you in place while you are fighting to move forward with the bar on your laugh is not the best thing to do... My shorts had torn all the way up to the pockets...ok I will be a fashion statement and wrapped my sweatershirt half way around my waist and marched towards our next destination... Behind me my sister is yelling "are you sure you don't want to change your shorts" and my daughter is yelling "you ripped my favorite shorts" and I just kept on walking smiling at my little girl who stood her ground and rode SM... I think at this point we checked out Toonland and then did some more rides in Fantasyland (according to my notes... After a wonderful ride (with a 10 minute delay during the ride) we made our way off just in time for our ADR at LTT....great meal, great charater interaction....I loved this place and it was a winner all around... We had some time after dinner before the parade and fireworks...we headed over to Splash Mountain again since my nephew decided he wanted to try it and the little one could not wait to get back on...and this is when the teasing started (all in good humor but when I tell my sister I know my daughter she really should beleive me) It went something like this Sis: Come on Jaz....you will love it, look at your sister and cousin they are half the size of you Jaz: No...I don't like drops Sis: Come on...I bet you will like it.... Jaz: No, I don't want to go Sis: I dare you...come on you are not chicken So she gets on the ride...and I keep telling my sister, let her get off, at which my sister would reply...she will be fine. Ok...you ride with her... So I sat with my little one and my sister took my oldest and her son with her... Well all was great until the first drop....("Was that it...ok that wasn't too bad...wait I think I am going to throw up...what do you mean that was not the drop") Then she relaxes until the next little drop ("That's messed up...you said one drop, that was two already") The she breathes again....and we go up and up and up....and then we go down....all the way down....and she says (ok I cannot type what she said but it was not good and it was the one time I let her curse and boy did she curse inbetween her screaming and telling my sister she hated her It felt like the longest drop in history.... ![]() It was time for fireworks so we found ourselves a nice spot near Dumbo....the kids found a bench to stand on....and then it started....and the tears began to fall, but not only from me... Half way through the fireworks I looked up to see my little one in tears...I mean full fledged water works... I suddenly thought she was scared so I pull her close and ask her waht was wrong... She looks at me with tear stained checks and says "Mommy....this day is the best day of my life" ![]() ![]() ![]() Did I say how much of love my girls....with both my kids standing with me, my sister and nephew with us I cried....happy tears, tears of joy...the goosebumps started but I had to agree with my baby... It was the best day of my life too... Up Next: What do you mean he loves butterflies???

| Dang you for making me cry again!! I thought my posts were the only ones supposed to do that!! Haven't you heard?? There's no crying on Passporter!! I had to laugh as I could picture you walking around with ripped shorts (covered up w/your sweatshirt) as I would have done the same thing. I think it's just in our blood from being single mothers-you do what you have to do and go on. We didn't try Cosmic Ray's this time-I think that's the place I heard you have to order hot dogs here, then chicken sandwiches in the middle, and salads on the end. Forget that-we just want to eat!! I loved the castle how it was adorned for the HCOE-while still pretty in it's own right, it's just too plain without all the gold accents! I want them back! Maybe for 9-9-9. I'm babbling because I need to get to bed for work tonight.......hope you hurry back with more!! |

| What do you mean he loves butterflies...our Day at Epcot - Day Three Once again no RD but I was happy getting our gang our by 9. We made it to Epcot and the lines were not bad, we funneled in and there was Spaceship Earth...still adorned with the wand... http://www.passporterboards.com/foru...1&d=1200775913 After a ride through Spaceship Earth we did Honey I Shrunk the Kids and Figment...now it was about here when I started to get a bit upset...you see I have resarched and read...and yet my sister still insisted that we would do Soarin later when we came back for dinner...ok, we will see...but I let it go. Instead we walked over to Ellen's Energy Adventure...it was closed The Flower show was in full bloom and after taking some time to check out the beatiful designs we headed to the Butterfly house....now I figured we would do a "ohh and ahh" and then keep moving....my kids usually pass the butterfly house at the zoo but my nephew I soon learned loves butterflies....can I tell you that after 45 minutes I was about to ready to scream...I mean how much can someone watch butterflies (ok I know I probably just pissed off like a dozen butterfly collectors but I wanted to keep on going and this was delaying my schedule...lol) After finally almost bribing him we made it into Mexico...I love Mexico (no I have never been there but I sure do like Epcot's Mexico). We did the ride and then spent some time roaming the indoor market...I just love the dim lights and the fountain...it makes you really feel like you are at an outdoor market... We stopped at the Cantina and shared a great meal of chicken fajitas with all the works...while the kids finished off the churros we made it over to Norway to find Malstorm was down...this was not our day today (2 rides down already)...figuring we would make it back later. Instead we spent some time looking over at the shops... Now the little ones wanted to take this one home but I tried to explain there might be a problem getting that on the plane...lol http://www.passporterboards.com/foru...1&d=1200776738 By this point I realized that while my kids were into the whole cultural part of the different countries my sister liked to shop and the move on....so we decided to split up since the kids were all getting cranky and I was getting annoyed being rushed... So we stopped at some of the Kid spots to let the little one color, the girls had tons of questions for the CM's (lucky we got some great ones who really enjoyed their questions).... We all met up and walked over to Japan....my oldest wanted a California Roll so we stopped over at the restaurant to get one to go.... Once we got to Germany and Italy the older daughter of mine was getting annoyed at her aunt again...so after splitting up again I still could not get her to smile. I found this beautiful spot to take her picture but no smile... ![]() This man and his wife were watching the whole scenario and his wife told me he could make anyone smile...well guess it works (don't know what he said) but I had to get this picture just to remember the moment... http://www.passporterboards.com/foru...1&d=1200776186 My camera was acting up but I managed to get a few good pictures of the beautiful scenery... http://www.passporterboards.com/foru...1&d=1200775958 We finsihed up the Showcase in a rush...don't know if it was just that our touring styles were so different or the fact that we wasted an hour looking at butterflies but we needed tohead back to Future World for dinner and I wanted the kids to get a chance to meet Crush... Once at the Seas we met with Crush and then walked around checking out the fish...and we checked out more fish...and more fish (can you get the idea here...I love my sister and my nephew but Epcot is one of those parks where we would have been better off splitting up and meeting back at the resort)...but enough of reahashing the obvious...we did have a good day and except for a few disagreements we got to see almost everything we wanted. We made it to the Garden Grill just in time for dinner....we really enjoyed this meal. They brought out our platter (minus the catfish) and we even got seconds....the kids must have been hungry or really enjoyed their meal but they a lot. Plus we were on the lowest level so we really got to enjoy the show that was going on as we rotated and the characters really spent a lot of time at our table. When we finished dinner the line to Soarin was still about 90 minutes...so we passed it up. Yes, we never got to take our ride over the orange groves (But you know that we will be FPing it this trip pronto - preferably at RD...lol) The kids wanted to look around in the store....and they were having a great time trying more hats on... http://www.passporterboards.com/foru...1&d=1200775958 They each bought a little something to do back at the resort and we spent a few minutes watching Illuminations but my sister wanted to get back so off we went... Once at the resort I took my leisurely walk to fill up our mugs....the kids were playing with the coloring books that they got and I was kind of ready to just go to sleep... Up Next: MGM - and how I gave up the one thing I was looking forward too...

| I agree that you probably should have split up w/your sister so you each could enjoy the day in your own right. We never got to do Soarin this trip either. The wait was so long and FP's were always out. We're not big Epcot fans so we only spent maybe 5 hours there total this trip. We're definitely going to have to fix it next trip!! Loved how the little ones wanted to take the Troll home!! Hurry back with more!! |

| Day Four....MGM and What I Gave Up.... Now let me start off by saying that after I finished my last post something was off...I re-checked my notes and realized that wait...we did not go to sleep...it was Mommies Night Out. Now with the kids and thier bootie from the shop we got dressed and headed out to Pleasure Island (since my oldest was gracious enough to babysit)... After touring the clubs and having a couple of drinks we headed back (considering we first started off at 10 - by 1:00 we were a bit tired)...we walked over so I could use the bathroom at Planet Hollywood before getting on the bus and by the time I got out my sister thought we should have one more drink at the empty bar...and we did, and thus closed the bar... Finally getting back to the good ole' POR we found that the children put the padlock on the door...so we knocked, and we knocked some more...then as I sat on the floor with my sister laughing (which was a nice way to end a day that I was not so happy about) we called my daughter's cell phone...only to get her voicemail. Now you would think that somewhere we would have carried the resort number...WRONG. After calling information to retrieve the number and thus calling the room 7 times my wonderful daughter answered..."Yeah" was all I heard... "Open the door"....to which she replied...."Why don't you use your key" Well she was nice enough to let us in and we fell to sleep almost immediately.... Since it was a late night I actually slept till 8:30....but come on guys we are at Disney....let's get going....well no one was getting and we were not going... By the time I myself showered, walked to the food court to get everyone breakfast and made it back they were first getting out of the bed... Now our original plans had us going to MGM our 1st day (which you all know by now never happened) and then we were going to do Epcot on our 3rd day, MGM again in the morning of our 4th day and then head back to Epcot for the one thing that I was waiting so patiently for...Le Cellier With our late start my sister felt that we should cancel our Le Cellier reservation so that we were not rushed at MGM... This is the conversation that ensued (or as close as I can remember it) Me: But it's Le Cellier Sis: I know but there is so much for us to do and we will be rushed and this way we can enjoy MGM Me: But its Le Cellier Sis: I know...but I am sure we can get a ressie somewhere at MGM that will just be as good Me: But its Le Cellier Ok...I gave up and walked to the Front Desk to cancel Le Cellier...even though I knew that we would not be at MGM all day but I did it anyway....and with tears in my eyes I cancelled the one meal I had been dreaming about for 6 months... What did I get in return....Hollywood & Vine at 4:45 or.....if we wanted the Sci-Fi at 7 Hollywood and Vine it was and off we finally went getting to MGM at noon... Now once again there are no real thrill riders here (ok I love thrill rides but to wait alone to take a ride when I could be spending time with the kids....not that important) so except for a moment when my five year old looked at me and said "I want to do the Tower" which she recanted 10 minutes later our day was pretty much The Little Mermaid, the Backlot Tour and the Great American Movie Ride.... And two hours at the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set".....yes that was our day and then we rolled on up to the first dinner setting at Hollywood & Vine....early. Now the meal was great...thanks to a great server who just was funny, loved to talk and really enjoyed the kids. The food was filling and it was a nice variety and after finishing off the bill (thanks to the DDP) we were out at 5:30 and guess what... There was nothing else they wanted to do at MGM....as I sat there thinking of the meal I gave up (a great 6:30 dinner at Le Cellier) I smiled (becuase at least I knew I was right....lol) and looked up and said well....what do you all want to do? At least their answer was worthwhile...we headed back to MK and re-rode every ride in Fantasyland for the next 4 hours....and got to enjoy other viewing of Wishes from a different proximity this time so we got to see Tinkerbell (which made my little ones night). We headed back to the resort and after some time (and money) at the arcade my gang was ready to head back to the room....it was AK day tomorrow and I ordered everyone to be ready....I was going to make a RD this trip even if I had to drag them all out of the beds.... Up Next: Our Last Park Day and what a great one...
