Great trip report. Glad your luggage arrived. Sounds like your girls had a great time as Disney Studios.

Back in a day or so . . .

My DH and I have some time off from work so we're remodeling our kitchen with a fresh coat of paint and a few other fix-ups.

I promise to get back to my trip report as soon as I can! Hang in there!
Thanks for all the great feedback so far.

Kitchen is done! Time for an update!!!

Sunday, Feb 10th ~~ Day Two morning

Around 5:30 am, my eyes open up and the room is sill dark. I can’t sleep with all the things going through my head . . . we’re in Disney! I still can’t believe it. I’m normally an early riser, but I don’t want to wake the girls too early, otherwise they’ll be cranky later. I get up and start making some coffee. Thank goodness for the kitchenette. I had brought some bagels, cereal, and other small breakfast items with me from home. We bought milk and cream cheese from the Marketplace store.

Just as I was getting my coffee ready, Serena is up and ready to go. “What park are we going today, mommy?”
“EPCOT,” I tell her.
“Are we meeting Ariel and having lunch with her and the other princesses?”
“Yes!” I hope so. I’m still not 100% if Ariel will even be at the Royal Arkershus Banquet Hall. I really hope she is!

With all the noise Serena and I make, the rest of the gang is up and we start getting ready. Serena is dressed in her Snow White costume ready to meet princesses. Suzie wants to go on some “RIDES”, not do shows like last night. I tell her to be patient. EPCOT will have what she is looking for.

The stroll to EPCOT through the International Gateway is wonderful. My DH and I loved seeing all the flowers and walking by the water along the way ~ Perfect way to start off a vacation! We pulled out our parkpasses and headed for Soarin’ by 9:15 am. The wait was about 15 minutes or less. Not too bad! I wasn’t sure how Serena would handle it being that she is only 5 and not experienced with any rides. I figured she would either love it or hate it. There was only one way to find out! She ended up loving it, actually we all did! Serena liked it so much that her first words, as I unbuckled her off the attraction were, “can we go again???” By now, the wait is at least 25 minutes so we grab our 1st set of Fastpasses (return time after 1:00 pm) and head over to Finding Nemo and Turtle Time with Crush. Both of which were very cool!
Our 1st Photopass Picture~Not too bad, but the sun made us all squint!

Next we head to Mission Space. Suzie had talked about doing this ride ever since she saw the planning video. I sent her off with her dad and told him to be sure and pick the green team. As Serena and I waited, we spent some time in a gift shop or two loading up on Disney merchandise ~ what else was I suppose to do?? Serena got the cutest Minnie sunglasses. I forgot to mention that the weather was beautiful. Close to 78° and full sun. I actual felt sorry for those poor souls back in Michigan that were freezing to death. I didn’t dwell on it too long though! I was hoping to actual get some color on my white arms!

Serena was so excited to show off her Snow White costume!

DH and DD loved Mission Space ~ they thought it was very cool especially the take-off! I would have to try it later. Next on the list was Test Track. I was looking forward to trying this one out. I thought Suzie was too, but she chickened out after seeing how fast it went around the turn. I didn’t want to ride by myself, so we skipped it for now. Anyways, the line was at 40 minutes and we couldn’t get Fastpasses until we used up our Soarin’ passes.

We decided to head over to World Showcase at 11:15. Our ADR at Akershus was at 11:55 and I thought we could check out some different countries along the way. The park was very peaceful and uncrowded. Now I understand why they say EPCOT is a good park to visit on crowded days, you’d never know it!

Along the way we meet up with Donald in a sombrero. Very cute! Serena got his autograph and we all took some pics. I meet another family in line who mentioned that they had just come out of breakfast at Akershus and yes, Ariel was in attendance. Thank Goodness! I don’t know what I would have done had she not been there!
I just love Donald's sombraro!
Next stop, lunch with Ariel . . . .
