| What a great day....breakfast sounded wonderful and everyone looked like they had a great time... Glad you got to do some shopping and take a break back at the resort, the pictures of the girls are wonderful and I loved the ones with them clowning around with dad at the World Showcase. |

| I'm loving your TR, can't wait for more! Sunday was a beautiful day, we were in DHS that day and then at the Poly in the evening. We had a crowd of cheerleaders at DHS and then the MK was packed that evening apparently it was open till 2am or something? I was surprised at how crowded it was this year. We've never had crowds like that in Feb.! We were at Sea World on Monday, and it was a beautiful day too! The weather was fab until Tues and Wed!

| Tuesday, Feb 12th ~ Day 4 So far our trip is already half over (we go home on Friday) and I feel like we just got here! AK was on today’s agenda. I made sure we were out of the room early because there was rain in the forecast.L We were on the bus by 8:30 am. It was quite a drive to get to AK. I guess I was used to the quick drive to MK or short walk to EPCOT! Anyways, we arrived at AK right after opening. It was our first visit to the park. The Tree of Life was gorgeous. We took several wonderful pictures here. I thought the attention to detail was great. There was so much to look at and enjoy. Unfortunately, we wanted to make sure we did as many attractions as possible before the weather turned ugly. Kilamanjaro Safari was our first stop. The line wasn’t too bad ~ approx 30 minutes total. It would have been shorter, but the wildebeests were blocking the road and so they held up traffic. I thought that was hilarious! The girls loved the safari. I was able to get some great shots on my camera. I would definitely do that again. Next up we headed towards Asia. My DH has been interested in climbing the Himalayan Mtns. I told we could do the next best thing and ride Expedition Everest. Since I was going to pass on riding and hang out with the girls, he was able to use the single rider line and got on in no time. He loved it and we enjoyed watching the riders come down the mountain. The gift shop in there was pretty cool as well. We made our way to Dinoland to ride Tricera Top Spin and check out Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama. I thought Dino-Rama was kind of out of place compared to the rest of the park. It was like I was at one of those traveling carnivals back home. Not WDW! Oh well, what do I know? The girls seemed to be enjoying themselves. Next up was Finding Nemo. The show was beautiful! I was amazed with the all the puppet work and costumes. We all had a great time! By now we were starving. We had an ADR for Chef Mickey’s at 6:35 so I figured we could eat CS for lunch. I mentioned our choices to DH and we decided to go with Pizzasafari. WOW! That place is huge ~ so were the pizza slices. Not bad! I wasn’t expecting anything too fancy here anyways. After lunch we headed back towards Dinoland so the girls could have some fun in the boneyard. They thought it was one of the best places in Disney ~ go figure! DH took a quick rest and I sat and watched them dig up bones in the gravel. It was great! The park was getting pretty crowded by now. The sun was out, a good sign. Only a few raindrops earlier in the day; nothing as bad as they had predicted. Maybe they were wrong. I tried another gift shop to find my peach Mickey Crocs ~ nothing on the floor. The CM told me she would check in the back. A few minutes later, I had my new Mickey Crocs!!! YEA! My feet were killing me from the sandals I had decided to wear that day. The Crocs felt great! We stopped for some ice cream and a couple of silly picture poses for our Photopass. I was making sure we took as many pictures as possible. By 2 o’clock the clouds began to thicken and our expected downpour made its appearance. I pulled out our ponchos and we took cover. We waited around by a gift shop for about 15 minutes and then finally decided to make a run for it towards the front of the park. I know we still did not see the Lion King show, but naptime for DD5 and DH was upon us and I wanted everyone to be rested for tonight’s dinner with Mickey! I've got some great pictures to add, but photobucket is not working properly. As soon as I can get it to open, I'll post some pictures from our day at AK! Thanks for reading! |
