Rob and I are def animal lovers so even though we SAID we weren't going back maybe we will make the trip for the parade, Yak & Yeti and to walk around the Discovery Trails and look at the maminals! lol! I am not sure yet.

I was not a big fan of AK my first trip when i was 16 and skipped in on my first trip with DH but fell in love with it on our honeymoon...I love animals and i love the theming and I think its worth the trip just for the Lion king and Nemo shows

By the way, I didn't know what I had been missing with the Passporter Club! Man- I printed some worksheets last night and they are awesome! Countdown calendars and I got these great summary sheets that will help with my journaling and TR once we are on the vacation already. So glad I decided to go for it. I already knew I loved their E-books so I decided to go for the Passporter Club instead of TGM this trip since I already had a subscription to TouringPlans.com for this year.

isn't it awesome i had a month to month membership and then forgot to renew but its really has some great planning tools!

All caught up, sounds like your plans are coming together. I too along with Grumpy add our vote for Le Cellier, Chefs de France and Earl of Sandwich at DTD, they are all wonderful.

Thanks for the croc coupon, I am in dire need of a new pair, my pink ones were chewed upon.....

to the PP Club, aren't those worksheets great

Keep us updated on the trip planning

If you DO decide on AK, go to the Lion King show and try to sit in the first row for an especially interactive experience! The CMs can get right up close and personal sometimes! The meercat came running up to us and slid into my DGD#2 and placed his head in DW's lap!
I have just been a member of PP Club about a month and just the interactive worksheets alone are worth it to me!
Forget about Mel???? NOT likely!

I can't lie- we've never been to any of the shows. We saw pretty much the whole Nemo show on various travel channel specials and we actually used the times for FOLK to hit the Character Trails! lol!

We love the safari too, and our last trip we gave up our FPs on the way out because it was just TOO HUMID to enjoy it! Our first trip we had the best safari possible--- a rhino an arms length away, all the lions were awake and wandering, a giraffe literally blocking our way at one point. Its a lot to live up to!!

If you are working in some time at AK, I have to agree with seeing the Festival of the Lion King. It is a phenomenal show - by far my favorite of all of the Disney shows I have seen.

Shows seem to be our problem. Other than Fantasmic we have really only seen Cinderellabration... and... I can't even think of anything else! lol! We skipped B&tB in MGM because we have seen it on Broadway... we had other things on our agenda when we went to AK... we even missed Dream Along with Mickey in 07.
If we go to shows FOLK is on my list, especially because Rob would never go see Lion King on Broadway with me! In any case, I am so glad you guys are all giving me this great info. I would have never known it was a must-see!

You know what, Mel? We've never really seen any "shows" either!! Just the fireworks and stuff, but no shows. . . . So don't feel bad. DH is "Mr. Ants in the Pants" and to keep his attention long enough for a parade or fireworks is a feat in itself. I'm not a miracle worker.

I have to say my DS(3) even loves FOLK. He was mesmorized(sp?) (he was 2 at the time) by the whole show. All though he kept calling Simba, Mufasa. I guess he can only think of Simba as lion cub.
So another vote for a must see while at AK.

We saw about half of the Nemo show on two of the Travel Channel WDW specials. While it seems interesting to us, we both think its to much like Voyage of the Little Mermaid for us to not laugh hysterically (yes we are the people who laugh at the actors in their head to toe black-- we are also the people with our eyes open laughing at everyone during the Drew Carey thing at MGM)... not to seem like jerks, we are just a little immature, but I do think I can get Rob to the FOLK because it was also his favorite movie as a kid!

I do have to say if I play it up before we leave I can always get Rob to be interested in stuff. (As I think I will do with Dream Along with Mickey and FOLK.) Usually he is more of a "nah... lets go do this instead" kinda guy with another case of ants in the pants! lol!

Awww! Most of you guys probably don't know this but my family went to Florida (Sarasota area) in 1994ish when the Lion King came out in the theatre. I was literally in love with Jonathan Taylor Thomas (middle son from Home Improvement, who was the voice of young Simba), or at least as in love as a 6th grader can be. In any case- I pretty much forced my whole family to take me to the movies during vacation so I could see it! lol! I totally understand if your DS prefers young Simba.... lol... I did and it was for totally tween girl reasons! lol!
