i will say we saw lion king on broadway and it was amazing!! i was in tears from amazement really. The show is great and interactive at the park and i really enjoy making the animal sounds*L* a little immature on my part but hey they tell you to*L*
i remember being in love with prince eric on the little mermaid when i was younger...i KNOW he was a cartoon but he was hot*L*....but the guy in the show is never HOT...a little disappointing*L* So Mel have you started buying goodies for your trip???

Mel -

Your plans sound great...Your meal in France should be wonderful (I loved the food there...could not fit it into our June trip but now with a surprise short December trip it should hopefully work into our schedule )

We are doing the Fantasmic Package at the HBD in June and we are so excited....the menu just looks so good .

After reading some people's "short trips" I have come to realize that no trip is too short when you are at WDW...you are going to have a wonderful time. I think the Segway tour will be so much fun and after reading it on some other TR's it is something that I would love to try (so I am looking forward to hearing your review ).

Can't wait to hear more...

It would take convincing but I know I could get Rob there if I plan it right. However, he is always hesitant about shows and parades and the like, well, lets just go there--- he is hesitant about EVERYTHING until I get him to do it! lol! Its one of those things where I won't sweat it-- I will add it to me to do list and if we get to it we get to it but if the only window we have is during the parade or something I can handle missing it as well, ya know?

I dont think I could ever get Rob to see the Lion King on broadway, he makes fun of the costumes whenever he sees the commercials... however, like for him its low on my list since I still haven't gotten to see Mary Poppins and the Little Mermaid opened in the fall! lol! OMG- and that is so funny about Prince Eric... my best friend and I loooove Thomas from Pocahontas (if only I had known than that he was voiced by Christian Bale! lol!)-- We actually did have a very attractive Prince Eric in our Fantasmic show our last trip (I dont have any pictures but you can take my word for it)! lol!

I can't wait for HBD either! You will have to post up all about it so I can see your pics and stuff! I wanted to do it last trip but wasn't willing to use 2 TS and we had already paid OOP for CRT so we went to Mama Melrose instead. I am going to rework our plans but really want to keep the Segway Tour in so *hopefully* I can fit in everything that I am budgeting for and such!

Truth is- we went for 10 days in 2006 and did a lot of touring but not a lot of riding and experiencing-- Rob liked that just fine but I am a little more adventurous so I had a lot on the to-do list last year. This year, I want to have a general plan with some must-sees that we both want and thats it... I think it will service us better and we will have more fun with a combo of the two different trip plans.

i was laughing when i read your reply. You know i never knew that christian bale was the voice of him. I WILL take your word for that about prince eric though.... My friend and almost flew to new york last year to see mary poppins and little mermaid, etc I am a HUGE sex and the city fan and wanted to see some of the stuff on that show up close and personal anyway plus i love disney shows . HOWEVER our plans were cancelled at the last minute You will have to tell us all about the segway tour......i've always wondered about that myself. I will say the lion king broadway shows outfits leave little to the imagination. I was giggling and pointing myself a few times. *LOL*

I am a short and inexpensive train ride away from NYC but don't get down there as much as I would like to. Maybe 3 or 4 times a year. We are going to go see the tree in Rockafeller Center this winter and I want to see a couple plays this summer. They have a great World of Disney in NYC too-- tons of WDW merchandise! I never thought of doing a Sex & the City tour... I wonder if anyone has done that before?? We could make a lot of money selling that idea! lol! I have just starting watching from the first episode- 2 every time I walk on the treadmill... hopefully I can get to the end of the series before the movie!

By the way- OMG you are going to disney in a week and a half!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The-April-Shower-Bring-May-Flower-and-I-Could-be-in-Disney-this-Spring- and-don't-know-how-I-will-make-it-Until-November Update

I know I have been neglecting my PTR lately, as far as updates go. Mainly because of my wallowing in the fact that if things had went a little differently this winter Rob and I might have been going to Disney this spring. I can't book my flights yet, not close enough to talk official ADRs, so here I am trying to get by day by day with a little dose of Disney. Once we get into April I will have a lot more fun things to plan and do, but since thats a couple weeks away I have been living vicariously through other people's trips!

So what have I been up to?

1. Making Cinderella waffles for weekend breakfasts

2. Watching my WDW Planning DVD

3. Creating a "Disney World" tivo wishlist to record anything from a Princess cake competition on Food network, to the corney travel shows on Travel channel

4. Disney scrapbooking (so many cool cuttlbug dies and embossers for Disney trips or birthday parties)

5. Catching up on my TR reading on the boards and my Dis podcasts

6. Joined the Challengers to lose some wieght for my trip (at least I know I have plenty of time for that, right?)

7. Planting to seed to tell my mom we are officially going away for Thanksgiving

8. Watching Enchanted to try and see all the extras. The Blu Ray has a great special feature where you can play this trivia style game and unlock narration that gives you info about the hidden secrets-- totally got my sister into Enchanted as well!

9. Made a DVD slideshow of all our pictures from our trip this past July (totally got Rob excited for another trip-- finally)

and 10. Trying to spread a little magic everyday

On another note- want to here something awesome? Our TA works through Mouse Fan Travel and because we booked in March we get a signed copy of the Walt Disney World trivia book! Sweet deal, right???

And another sweeter deal- tomorrow is the last class for the Master's class I have been taking! Yay!!!!!

Happy April everyone! Remember the showers bring flowers (see that paying a little homage to my original PTR !)

:::::Next Up:::::
A Bad Day and a Broken Mug!

Mel -

I must tell you how much I love your spirit and ethusiaism...you are happy even when things are down and that is so great...you even lift up my moods...

I must say that as I just finished a 30 page paper for my Masters class I was so beat...and I am really burnt out but after reading that you finished you class today...it made me realize that I have three classes to go and then I am done....so I think you for putting a smile on a very tired face

Congratulations on your Master class...very impressive.
DH and I are starting to plant the seed that we may be in WDW for Christmas this year...which is a tough one for all families involved....we always do what i like to call the Christmas day shuffle which includes x-mas eve at MIL's, x-mas day at my moms and dads, and x-mas night at FIL's...its been so hectic DH and I thought about skipping that madness and having some Disney madness instead!
Also I bought Enchanted this weekend and watched it with niece who loved it as much as i did the first time i saw it.
I made my niece a scrapbook of our last trip as well as a DVD slide show set to Disney music ...she it...its such a nice keepsake....what program did you use to make ya'll DVD?
