I am so happy that you are making lemons into lemonade...sometimes these pit stops gives us time to make life altering (for the good) changes to our lives. My DH is going to Law School in the fall after working at Starbucks for 5 years and I am going back to school to finish getting my teachers degree...we know its going to be rough (financially) but it all about working for a positive future together...
Rob is lucky to have such a great girlfriend who supports him!!!!

That episode of Jon & Kate plus 8 almost made me cry... the mom was so scheduled I thought they werent going to have a good time but she was so emotional about going on Dumbo! I Fantasyland!

Once Rob and I get all our school stuff squared away- I have to sign up for a Masters class this summer- I am going to get down to business because I have more questions about ADRs! So glad I can keep the PTR alive!

So glad that he was happy about your "surprise"...a vacation might be just what you both need and definitely once all that course work starts coming in...it will be a great trip and hopefully a celebration for what is to come

Thanks I def agree about his choice of major. He can go for all different types of tests or get into security and stuff. Lots of choices, which is good in case there is no corrections exam around his graduation.

For some reason, when I have to cut corners to help Rob, it never bothers me as much, and I am sure thats how you guys will feel, keeping your eyes on the prize! Once you are finished you should take a nice long trip to a deluxe WDW resort!

Mel, I'm so sorry to hear Rob lost his job again. But I'm glad to hear that things are quickly back on track. Hopefully this will end up being a blessing in disguise.

So I my mom from my car on the way home from work today. I wanted to tell her about Rob's job and whatnot-- the whole choice to go back to school after this crap. I feel like I put a more positive spin on things then Rob does so I wanted to beat him to the punch since know that we will see them this weekend.

Anddd... I figured that if I was letting the cat out of the bag I might as well let out the whole litter! So I worked into the convo that we were going to Disney for Thanksgiving. She didn't have much to say- but there was no arguing about the fact its a holiday and all, which is what I was afraid of. She was complacent-- not quite positive and not quite negative. If she ends up being a negative nelly in the future I am sure I can work it out because I finally told her! Phew!

In any case, I watched Samantha Brown's Disney Favorite tonight and it made me that we aren't going to WDW next week like our first planned. We still have to wait so long! And no FGF!

That made me think of Disneyland and how we aren't even planning to go to that one.
Although lately I have been thinking that maybe if we get the Hawaiian honeymoon I want someday, we can hit up DLR for a weekend on the way home.

Anyways, I am tired and cranky- but I wanted to let you know that I finally opened my mouth ! In that way, this week wasn't so bad, right?

Thanks! The thing with my mom is if I had not told her directly after much more important stuff- like the situation with Rob- she may have had more to say about it. But if I throw it in with other news she doesnt make a stink. My sister never comes for Thanksgiving dinner because she goes to her husbands grandpas house and so I made the suggestion that we celebrate Thanksgiving the weekend before all together and she didn't even dote on it-- she was just like, I will see what your father wants to do when it gets closer. But, I already know she will do it early because she loves me and wants to celebrate with me!

I know how you feel. NO ONE in our family but Rob's sister, who we don't even talk to much, likes Disney stuff at all. I keep trying to bring them over to the magic side but so far, all I've got is my mom wants my dad to take her and he said for her 55th birthday. He onces told me he used to work with a guy that went every summer for 12 years straight and my dad thought that was crazy... I was like- that is my dream! haha!

I told my mom recently that we will probably going to WDW for Christmas after Ben finishes his first semester ...she is fine with it...its Ben's mom we are worried about...maybe you have given me the courage to at least mention the possibility next time i am around her...lol.
