| You inspired me A PRE-TR A PRE-TR because you all inspired me You all inspired me to write one up, I love reading TR’s pre-TR’s so much fun that its now time I did one. So here is how I came to love WDW so much I went when back in 1975 I was 10. My aunt and uncle lived in Cocoa Beach, FL, so on a family trip of 2 weeks, we went to FL, my dad drove in our ugly green 4 door car. I bought all my barbies to keep me company. We took a day trip to the Magic Kingdom, had lunch at CRT, back then, you need not worry about ADR’s and such, we just sat down and ate. But no Cinderella sitings were to be had that day, needless to say I was upset, but I remember loving that place and wanted to go back, but we had other things to see and do, such as Cypress Gardens, Kennedy Space Center, my aunt lived on the beach so of course we hit the beach. She lives in Melbourne now, I really should go see her before its her time to leave, I think she has another 10yrs but note to self: go see aunt Jean. Cut to 1983 our HS sr trip, what fun we had, we went to MK and Epcot had just opened, I can’t recall future world at that point but I do remember spaceship earth clear as day. I think we did MK AND Epcot for 3 days, then wet n wild water park. Now I hadn’t returned to the World until 1999. Because as I got older I would go to the jersey shore with friends, boyfriend at the time, Ocean City MD..never gave Disney another thought. And here is how I got to Disney in 1999, and had been hooked ever since-- My ex BF Roger and I went to the Fells Point Festival at the Baltimore Harbor we had been going for a few years in a row, we no longer lived together and were still very close friends, so here we are having dinner someplace, drinking, having a good time, we are talking about who knows what, all of a sudden, he says LETS GO TO DISNEY WORLD!! I was like, OKAY, sure, why not? Now the Baltimore trip was the first weekend of October, so when we got home, I started planning. I booked our airfare thru price line, got a good deal, but that was the last time I used them. My mother went to AAA and picked up the tour book for me, we booked the cheapest hotel I could find, it was 29.00 per night, but I figured so what we wont be there. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. We didn’t rent a car, so we took the hotel shuttle We stayed in Kissimmee. We had a 9 day trip. We drank a lot, we ate a lot, we spent a lot. Cut to the year 2000. We went again this time 10 days/9 nights, I planned better we still stayed off property but this hotel was near Universal and better than the previous year. We went in November both years, I always say they knew we were coming, after all Universal had the beer festival at city walk, and Epcot had the food and wine festival. Now we were big drinkers so we were happy, and Roger being 6’7” well he could put away some drinks. We saw concerts, met and hung out with rock bands at HOB backstage, we just had way too much fun. If I find pictures and can dig them up from who knows where, I will post one or two. I realized those 2 years how much I really love being there and how the real world just does not exist. While we were having a Bass ale at the rose and crown 2 days before we left, I was practically in tears, I did not want to leave. NEXT UP- OUR SPRING 2008 trip cast of characters, where we all met and becoming AP HOLDERS.
