| Monday, May 12 It's the day before we leave and there is soooo much to do. I need to finish packing the kids stuff for my mom's as well as topping off our suitcases, giving myself a lil' mini pedi & manicure, finishing up work, etc. Jason has golf league tonight, so I am looking forward to having some time to just chill tonight. We picked Ariana up from school a half hour early so Jason could see her one last time before he left for golf. My mom came with and once we got home, we said our goodbyes to the kidlets. My mom was using our minivan all week as it's a bit easier than her car with the kids. I'm proud to say that I shed no tears when they left. I know they are in good hands, and they are so excited to spend time with grammy Sally. I am a bit worried since my dad is out of town on business, so she has them all by herself which I know can be a handful on occasion. But my grandma said she'd help out if mom needed it. Jason peeled out minutes later. Leaving me alone. Where it was quiet and I could crank the stereo as loud as I wanted, WITH music that I wanted. It was heaven. I took about 10 minutes to just sit on the couch and enjoy the peace. I then ran to Target to pick up some last minute items and a small pizza for dinner. Then it was back home. Once home, I popped the pizza in the oven and sat down at the computer to check email and say goodbye here. I read some of the new book I bought for the trip while I ate dinner. Yum, DiGornio pepperoni pizza with extra green olives I added. Then I filled the tub for a bath, which I hardly ever do. Shaved my legs and then after the bath, gave myself a quick pedicure. I had picked up this quick dry nail polish in a deep red. It dried very quickly, but I learned during the coming days that it peels off very oddly. Not sure if I'm going to keep the polish. Then it was manicure time. I had tried to keep my nails nice and long so I could do a french manicure and I only had one nail that was on the verge of breaking, which I think is pretty good. Nails went well, but it took a while. I threw in a bellydance DVD while I was drying and then painting again, etc. My girlfriend called and we chatted for a while. They just got back from WDW in Feb and she is really wanting to go back already. Uh oh, I gotta finish later. Phoenix is digging in the refridgerator. No tellin what he'll pull out.

| Night before leaving, cont. I finish up on the phone and it's about 9:45pm. We need to be at the airport by 5ish, and I was really wanting to get in bed before 10 but that is in no way happening. Jason is doing his last minute packing and asking where this is and that is. Very annoying. I hate to admit this but the packing on this trip was completely awful. I've never packed like this before. I had started packing some stuff weeks ahead of time, all that stuff I wouldn't need until the trip. Well, I never really went back over all the items and we just threw more stuff in that night without checking it over and organizing it well. For me, the most important pieces were the bridesmaid dress and things that went along with it. I had my dress packed in a carryon suitcase with the undergarments & shoes too. I was taking no chances of that bag getting lost. My lack of going over the suitcases caught up with me later on. Let's just say I worried about running out of a necessary item, which I usually pack extra of. It was 10:30 before we crawled into bed. I wanted to change our bedsheets quick since my mom might be staying here depending on how the kids sleep at her house all week. Jason, of course, is not helping much. I wanted all this stuff done early so I could relax all night, but it wasn't meant to be. Oh well. Lights out and I think I fell asleep the minute my head hit the pillow.
