All right my husband Matt got me hooked on this trip report and I spent a great amount of time reading over everything so far. Maybe it is pregnancy hormones, but I think I would have gone off on that woman, how amazing of you to hold your tongue! I am really anxious for you to return from your surprise trip so that I can read some more!

Just got caught up! You've been through a lot on this trip. We've all experienced some not so magical trips that were so disappointing because you probably had such high expectations of things going well. We Disney fans love the thought of sharing the magic with friends/relatives but sometimes it's just hard to travel with others who don't get it. Sorry you lost your DDE card. I know it must have been frustrating because you think about how much money you'll need to spend to make up for the extra card. Hope you're having a great time this weekend at WDW with just you and Andy. I'm sure you're feeling the magic. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Just caught up! Sorry about the DDE card....we once lost our park ticket on our last day at disney about 5 years ago. I was in tears before it was over but disney handled the issue like magic and the day was not ruined after all. I know what that feeling is like though! I hope you are enjoying your current trip in disney this weekend! cannot wait to hear the finale on this trip.....i agree about the tree from lost...that sure does look like a little mini version...and the ham and cheese croissant...i can taste it now...it is delish!

Just catching up! Sounds like a great EMH at the MK for you and Andy - I'd say I can't believe that Audrey stayed out til 4:30 am, but I kinda can. Sorry that your last day started off bad with the DDE Card Fiasco, but it really seems to have turned around! Great pictures around the WS - love the one of Andy with the little girls in the boat. And thanks for sharing that story, Brandi - how incredibly sweet!

I know y'all are having a blast in WDW (or you might on your way back now) - but can't wait to hear the wrap up of this trip and all about your current one, too!

On our way back over to meet Kevin and Lori in Canada I stopped to take a few more F&GF pics..

Once in Canada we headed down to check in. I think we stood around and talked about what they had done today, but honestly I don't remember. I do think they went to DHS.

Going down to check in...

And this next picture I just think sums up the trip

Dole whip to anyone who can explain why.........

While we waited I think Kevin started getting all buttheady about eating here..... He actually asked "are their kids in there?" I told him Kevin, you're in a park, every where in a park is going to have children in it. Only some restaurants in some resorts do people ask that question....... And really, what the crap was he doing asking that now??? I had told him waaaaay back 6 months ago when I made this ADR that this was one our favorite places and we wanted them to experience it with us and it was good use of their DDP. He just had to be a butthead.

We were seated in the corner which was probably best. Since Audrey gets her way 100% of the time Lori ordered the $10+ shrimp appetizer for Audrey as opposed to the nice complimentary child's plate our wonderful server offered her. I would be
d%&^%^ if I paid that for my 3 year old to gnaw on like one of those huge fat shrimp. She'd have definitely gotten the nice fruit/veg plate that was FREE!

Andy had his usual mushroom filet which he had no problems with as you can see....

And I had the cheddar cheese soup and the duck appetizer. DELICIOUS!!!

While we were eating Audrey was sitting between Kevin and Lori on the long bench side of the table (we had chairs).... and they just kind of try to sandwich her in and that's it. Now, maybe I'm a little over the top.... I know I have high expectations for my students at school, but I think that will carry over to my own children. I expect them to do what is right and I expect me to be the one to model that right behavior for them. When you have a child where nobody models good behavior for them..... they're never going to learn....
I say that because during the meal Audrey laid down on the bench (which is fine) and then put her little hot pink crocs up on the table.....then on mom's arm, then on the table. And the only discipline we saw was a threat that was never followed through with "Stop it Audrey or I'm taking you outside" and that was it. She'd do it again and Lori would say the same thing "Stop it or daddy will take you outside". And it just felt like Kevin was just being a butt b/c of all this.
And when they brought out that fabulous pretzel bread and epcot ball butter..... well Audrey reaches right in the cup and takes a WHOLE EPCOT BALL of butter and sticks it right in her mouth! I couldn't believe it! Andy actually had enough and reached over and took it from her before she could eat the whole thing. What does Lori say "ohhhh she just loooooves butter. When she goes to Grandma's and they make cakes she eats the butter" Again, I guess I'm overly anal....but that just doesn't sound like the most heathful option for your child........

And our server, he was fabulous. Very polite, said "very good" or "thank you so much sir/ma'am" A LOT. But he was sooo very friendly, as has every server we've ever had here....... and bless him...all Kevin and Lori could do was make fun of him. We finally had enough of dinner and were ready to go our own way again.

I don't know what Kevin and Lori were going to do..... we left them smoking. There was a chance they went to ride Nemo again...... I don't know....

We headed straight for SSE b/c we wanted to see the new updates and figured during Illuminations was the best bet. And it was....

If you haven't ridden it yet and still want to be surprised.....don't look at my pics... And I know some people hate what they've done....but I thought it was hilarious!

There we go, back to NC.

Coming up.... Our last day at the world....

The next morning our plan was to get up and out to MGM early. We packed up our car and caught a bus to MGM... DHS I keep meaning to say. We made it before opening and got to see the show. This was a first for us....
While we waited, we of course played...

Like Andy's hat??

After the opening show we watched all the crazy runners take off toward RnRC and TOT. We took our time and walked over to get RnRC FPs. On the way I had to get this picture....

Now just to make sure I'm not crazy... they only put that up there on that sign in the mornings or when something's wrong maybe?? Anyway....LOTS of people thought that there really was only a 13 minute wait......

While Andy got our FPs I saw one of the stars of the morning show rolling around so I asked her if I could take her picture. In her high pitched screeching voice "A picture??? Of MEEEEEEE?" And I told her we would do a self portrait and she thought that was even more amazing and she got even louder

When Andy came over from getting the passes I explained to her that he had been over there and asked if we could get a picture of them together..... Again, loud "Ooooh how fabulous.... a picture of MEEEE"

She told him she wanted to make it a blackmail shot I think it's one of the best pics of the trip

In line for the TOT we thought we had a nice pleasant quick wait....but only one elevator was working and the line inside was loooooong. So we ended up waiting at least 20 minutes or so.... oh well

After the TOT we hopped into Starring Rolls and grabbed some ooy gooy yummy cinnamon bun type stuff for breakfast. We stopped and sat near the Brown Derby and waited for the characters to come out.

One last Stitch encounter for the trip....

We went and used our RnRC FPs... another wonderful trip backstage.

And then I wanted us to go back and find the new Monster's Inc meet area....just for Andy....cause he loves Mike as much as I love Stitch....

We had to head out after this... we caught a bus to POFQ and then drove to DTD b/c we HAD to have lunch at the Earl and I had some shopping to do
Stitch had ears for Easter at the WOD...

We did some shopping, did some pin trading, and then it was time to eat....
God how I LOVE the Earl. We ordered one sandwich to eat now, and one more to eat on the road later....

After lunch we drove over to the West Side b/c Andy wanted to go by the Virgin store. I had to run into Wolfgang's to use the bathroom really quick. I swear....The Dyson guy must have made the hand dryers in that bathroom! Has anybody used them in there??

Andy wanted to pick up the new Counting Crows album since it had just come out. He held out cause he wanted to get it here

Pretty soon we were on our way out of Orlando....

Sweet Devil Stitch was watching over us....

A little while later we tore into our EoS sandwiches....

Still good! Not quite as warm....but still good

We made it home safe without any problems. Of course Kevin called to brag about something else that had happened to them. I don't remember what they did that day, but they stayed all day and drove home all night.

SO....
Final Thoughts:

F&GF - FABULOUS!!! Everything was so beautiful and to see my favorite park all beautified even more than it usually is was wonderful.

POFQ - Loved it! We got all our requests, great pool, great CMs, great location. We expect our Aug. vacation here will be good

FAB FOUR - Fun as usual! I think we were able to get in 6 shows. We could have done more had it not been for our draggy party...

FRIENDS - ummmm yeah... that's the last time we travel to WDW with Kevin and Lori. I still can't believe we had such a wonderful trip with my in-laws and a crappy time with our closest friend. (I say friend again, b/c we don't really know Lori all that well). Audrey was a blast to have with us though. When treated like a little girl, she was great and had fun I think

SO..... thus ends this TR. Luckily I had this trip this past weekend to make up for all the craziness of this specific trip.... So......be on the lookout for updates in that TR HERE

You got it close........the best part of the picture is.... Blurry Lori in the background with that sourpuss look on her face... Andy stopping to smell the roses in contrast to Lori and her trip....

Hahaha greatness. You know you are right. I am not even joking when I say our girls have never had a temper tantrum in public heck, never at home either. They are 9 and 5. They know what we expect. They get corrected for things sure but nothing terrible. If you expect good behavior out of your children you will receive it. It's a simple parenting rule. I can't wait to read the new trip report!

Oh, Melissa, you didn't give me a chance to respond! That totally is what I would have said!

I have a pic of the ToT standby sign that says 13 minutes, as well, because I was there first thing in the a.m. It was definitely not 13 minutes, though; I used up most of my EMH waiting for that elevator and the ride wasn't all that good!

Thanks so much for sharing your trip with us! Dag gone it! No wonder you needed another trip back this weekend so badly!

I have a Stitch antennae topper on my car, he is busting out of an Easter Egg. Seeing your pic of him at WOD reminded me. I love it so much I haven't taken it off to put on my Scotland flag Mickey ears I bought in EPCOT. And yeah, the Scottish accent, I could listen to that all day too!

Can't wait to read about this weekend, I'll pop over there right now!
