| I am so glad you were able to find some fun in there in spite of your travel companions. I, like you, would be horrified by the poor parenting of that adorable little girl. Thanks so much for sharing. |

| ![]() There's nothing like stopping to smell the roses and enjoy yourself while a sourpuss stands behind you and glowers. Oy! Great finish, Melissa. How soon will Indi-Andy be updating? (Sheesh, I just can't get enough of you two!) Eileen PS - the flowers are actually a form of petunia, called Calibrochoa. PPS - I thought when the sign said 13 minutes at TOT, that meant there was no wait at all. Didn't seem like that was your experience.

| I'm glad you and Andy had a good time despite your travel companions. As for the foot on the table thing - all kids do this (I think) at around this age, but MOST parents do something about it.

I just kept snickering on the inside.....and then I had to snicker even harder when they kept talking about the fact they were going to miss the breakfast at Hollywood and Vine I just kept picturing those two at the Playhouse Disney breakfast. ![]()

| ![]() The look on her face clearly shows that she just doesn't even get why Andy would want to stop and smell the roses. I feel sorry for someone who is that miserable and I feel bad that you and Andy had to put up with it all week. Thanks for sharing the trip, despite everything it sounds like you had a great time. I think it would take a whole lot for you and Andy to not enjoy yourselves! Now I'm looking forward to reading about your weekend getaway!

| Okay, Mary Devall has been known to eat more butter than the bread it's on and she has had her share of meltdowns, but she still knows right from wrong. That's what worries me about little Miss Audrey - - she's not exactly getting consistent parenting - - either they're ignoring her or overcompensating by letting her misbehave. Children need (and want) boundaries. I hope that they learn this quickly. And add us to the list who LOVE Dorma Nesmond. Mary Devall had the cutest interaction with her last summer and we're always on the lookout for her. Glad that you two could wrap up your trip with some one-on-one time. You deserved it! Jill

| Great trip report, Melissa. Seems like you and Andy salvaged the last day and had some fun. My best friend and I drove across Texas to a dude ranch in the Hill Country. We spent a week together, but on the way back, we barely spoke!! Oh well!! Thanks for sharing this adventure!!

| Glad you had a great end of your trip....that possibly could have been that you lost the rest of your traveling party after Le Cellier.... HS sounded great...and so were your EOS lunch.... All in all it sounded like a great trip....which would have been even better had you traveled alone....but if it was not for the company that you shared....you might not have been traveling back so soon..... No better way to get rid of the bad memories then to create some new ones.... Can't wait to hear all about your weekend trip.... |

| Ok, so I nearly puked when I read that Audrey put that whole ball of butter in her mouth!!!!!! yuk yuk and triple yuk!!! How old is she...? I forget what you said. 3 or 4???? My kids are a littel older but I don't think it would have ever occurred to them to do that. My best friend calls me Super Nanny Kathy!!!! I don't take any cr%$ from my kids. They know how I expect them to behave......now that doesn't mean they don't have thier moments!!!! I just don't give in to that behavior. Anyhoo........what a great TR!!!! I love to read about your adventures!!!!! Can't wait to read about your little mini trip!!!

| I'm sorry to laugh when you said she put the butter in her mouth but imagining it then imagining the look on you two's face made me crack up!! I mean all the behaviors she showed is completely normal behavior BUT it seems they need a little direction in the parenting section. I don't think I would take my best friend to Disney UNLESS I was ready to dedicate the trip for her enjoyment sort of speak and just do things she liked especially because she's a single gal and I'm married with kids and it's just a different dynamic completely. We would be cool at a Barbeque, beach or any other one day outing but when you're doing a big trip like that, you gotta even out the dynamic. Unfortunately, sometimes that doesn't even work. LOL.You do sound like you've had a great time though despite all that. I'm confused about TOT, was there a long wait or no wait at all?
