Day 2 (cinderella's royal table);
After leaving Tommorowland, we headed towards the castle. I had told all three kids that I had planned one special surprise meal for each of them. Today was Madilyn's- CRT. As we were walking towards the castle she was getting ill so I told her where we were going. I told her we were eating IN the castle and all the princesses would be coming around to the table as we eat. She smiled, but she didn't seem as excited as I would have hoped. When we arrived at check in, there was a LONG line! The longer we waited the more irritated Madilyn became. At one point she said- I don't care about eating with the princesses, lets go somewhere else. I knew it was the heat , it was VERY hot. The line was not moving at all and I was getting a little frustrated myself. A lot of others in line were also getting ill and some of them were loud about it. Looking back on it, I still don't understand what was so difficult about checking people in. They finally opened a second line, but rather than taking the next person (us) , a lot of people just piled up there and this actually ended up putting us even further behind in line. It was very chaotic. Given the hype of this meal and the money you pay, I felt this check in chaos to be very unpleasant. We FINALLY got in. And then there was a long line to get your picture made with Cinderella. Madilyn got VERY upset. I think she was simply hot and hungry. By the time it was our turn , she was all but in tears and you can see it in her picture. After our picture , we were seated immediately. Our table was in the center of the room. When I talked to the kids about what they wanted to eat, Madilyn flew into a tizzy again when she realized there were no french fries! She said she didn't want to eat. Obviously the food was prepaid, so she got a plate anyhow. They served our drinks. Madilyn ordered lemonade. Drinking her lemonade in the fancy glass and giving cheers with her brothers quickly perked her up. The appetizer came and it was yummy. Even the kids enjoyed it. We had salad, chicken, cheese, and grapes. Then came the main coarse. I ordered the major domo pie. I didn't care much for it. Dillon and Madilyn ordered kids chicken tenders and mashed potatoes. Wesley ordered an adult size portion of chicken tenders and mashed potatoes. When the food was brought out, the waiter accidentally tipped the plate side ways and one or two chicken nuggets fell off the plate. I didn't think anything of it at the time. When I booked this meal , I was told by the CM that it was all you can eat. Well, my kids can eat a lot of chicken! When they all three finished off their plates, I requested more chicken for them and I was told that was not allowed. I then asked if I could just purchase an additional plate of chicken nuggets and I was not allowed to do this either. I was ill and felt bad for the kids because I knew they wanted more. I didn't push it or say anything , I just accepted his reply of this is not allowed. Looking back, I wish I would have insisted. Then I thought about the waiter who had dropped the chicken on the floor and...........lets just say I get ill just remembering it. On another note, Madilyn got really into the princesses coming around. She got their autographs and really enjoyed having conversations with them. Wesley also enjoyed the autographs. Dillon was a little bummed that he had left his autograph book in the hotel today. For dessert, all three kids ordered the ice cream with the chocolate crown. They all three really enjoyed this. The waiter apologized about the chicken and brought them all out adult sized ice cream. I thought that was really nice of him. (for the record, we had a really nice and attentive waiter, it was mainly the policy that I had a problem with). I ordered the chocolate buckle and it was sooo yummy. It was my favorite dessert of the whole trip. I'm definately glad we got to experience eating in the castle, but it is not on our list of must do's the next time we go. I think for the money you spend that the check in should run much more smoothly and even though I can some what understand them not giving all you can eat chicken nuggets , I think its ridiculous that I could not place an additional order if I'm willing to pay for it out of pocket! The kids did get a taste of the "character meals" and want to do more of them in the future, just not this one. Madilyn also really enjoyed her wand and the boys enjoyed their swords.

What a shame about Space Mountain, but it sounds like everyone loved Space Mountain. It's also good to see that Madilyn enjoyed the princesses at CRT as the meal went on.

Day 2 (FantasyLand)-
After leaving CRT we headed into Fantasyland. We spotted the sword in the stone and the kids enjoyed trying to pull it out. We then got on the carousel. There was barely a line so we boarded quickly. The kids really enjoyed this one. The boys had not been enjoying the thrill rides , so I knew Fantasyland would be a hit! We squeezed in a little shopping. Shopping is when Madilyn is truly at her best. We then walked over to Philharmagic. There was no line and the next show was starting in ten minutes. We quickly made our way to the waiting room. And then we stood there for what seemed longer than ten minutes. They kept having us squish in to make room for people and Madilyn was getting cranky again. We finally made it into the show. And boy , was it worth the wait! I absolutely loved it! Dillon, Madilyn, and I thought it was one of the best things of the whole trip! It was definately our favorite 3-D movie. My favorite part is the Aladdin Carpet ride. The effects in that show are simply amazing to me. I could go on and on about this show and it is an absolutely must see on any future trips! Unfortunatley the effects freaked Wesley a little bit, but not to bad. He was able to tolerate it and I was glad because I sure didn't want to miss that one. I learned on this trip that Wesley has low tollerance for any sort of "thrills" what so ever. We all left the show just raving about it! (except Big W). We then headed for its a small world. The wait time was posted as ten minutes and it took every bit of that before we were boarding. We all enjoyed this ride, even Wesley! Before small world, we had spotted Winnie The Pooh and Peter Pan and they both had 40min waits so we saved the rest of FantasyLand for later.

I hate that for them about space mountain!!! I sure did feel sorry for YOU during all that! Youre kids are so sweet though! thinking that the transit authority was a rollercoaster, that was so sweet! I think if i were a child i would be scared of Stitch's escape too though! I hate that about CRT....for breakfast we had unlimited food, i didnt realize that lunch wasnt that way! The look on your daughter's face was priceless she was truly upset and looking a bit worn!
I hope to hear more about your trip!

Sorry about the SM bailout. We too have had a few mornings where we get up and out for an early start only to find two hours later we have yet to accomplish anything. I have now figured out that with my boys involved, we need to go at their pace not mine Sorry CRT was such a mess at first but glad Madilyn cheered up for the princesses. Can't wait to hear more.

All caught up!
Sorry about the rough start at the MK... but glad everyone ending up enjoying their meal. I agree with you... CRT was nice and I'm glad we did it for my bday... but, we've done it....and that's that It's extremely expensive and yes, I agree the whole check in process is chaotic.
Ready for more!
