| Day 1; ![]() I had the alarm set for 4:30am, but I kept waking up all during the night. So I finally just got up around 3 am. I was completely ready and even did a little last minute house work by 3:30am. It was all I could do to not wake the kids up. I had planned to wake them at about 4:45. I was too excited and allowed myself to wake them at 4am. First I woke up Dillon and ushered him to the living room where I had the Disney DVD playing. I asked him what he wanted to do today. He began naming things such as go to the Hallmark store. I said lets think of something better. He then said sixflags. And I said, think bigger and I kinda pointed towards the tv that was playing the video. He still didn't catch on and he suggested going to Dahlonega for the day. I once again said, think bigger and directly pointed to the tv. Then he said "Disney?". And I said ok, lets go! He said really? And when I said yes he got very excited. He immediately asked to wake up Wesley to tell him and I gave him the go ahead. Wesley was in disbelief also. Then I woke Madilyn and asked her where she wanted to go today, but the boys blurted it out before she could respond. They thought I was kidding until I went into more detail, saying we had plane tickets and all our bags were in the van ready to go. Madilyn jumped up so hard to hug me, she nearly busted my nose! They were pumped to say the least! I then woke up Austin (I had talked to him about it the night before, letting him know he and Winston would be staying at mawmaw's, he was very excited also) I woke up Winston just as we were ready to head out the door. We were out the door by 4:45am. I stopped by McDonalds for some sausage biscuits but they were closed (I could've sworn they were open 24 hours). So we headed to pick up my mom from work. The plan was for her to drop us off at the airport so that she could use the van during our trip since hers had broken down the week prior. She works at waffle house, so I went in and ordered 5 waffles for the kids to eat for breakfast. Her replacement came in while the waffles were cooking so she was ready to go by the time they were done. The assistant manager gave us the waffles complimentary (I thought that was very sweet of her since I was not expecting it at all) We were on the road by 5:15am. We arrived at "mawmaw's" by 6am. Austin was as excited about going here as the big kids were about going to Disney World! Winston cried when I left as expected. I had put together goody bags for Austin and Winston and Austin was very excited about this. (I put in matchbox cars and army men, their favorites along with a carpeted racetrack for them to share) "Mawmaw" called a few minutes after we left to let me know Winston had calmed down and was excited about opening all the cars. She said everytime she opened one for him he would say mine. He's like the birds from nemo...........mine, mine, mine. We made it to the airport without hitting any traffic and were dropped off by about 6:50am. (I had wanted to be there by 7:30 so this was great time) We checked our bags, took a bathroom break, were thru security, and waiting at the gate by 7:30am, so lots of idle time. I pulled out the kids fanny packs that were filled with snacks, spray fans, pins & lanyards, and a few other things for them to carry into the parks. They were excited about this, especially Madilyn. I explained pin trading to them and they immediately started trading with each other! LOL. (I had bought them each a few on ebay to get them started) Madilyn loved organizing and reorganizing her fanny pack (wich she referred to as her fanny for short) over and over again. She also loved seeing the planes take off out the window, everytime she seen one she would yell with excitement, "look mommy, look a plane is flying!". She did this EVERYTIME a plane took off and since we were at the airport waiting idle for close to two hours to board, you can imagine how many times she did, some others sitting close by got a chuckle out of it. I had also checked them out some books about Disney from the library for them to read at the airport and on the plane. I was surprised that they had zero interest in this, especially Dillon who is a HUGE reader. Wesley did read a little on the plane , but that was it for the books. (Glad they were checked out for free and not purchased!) Madilyn and Dillon were very excited to be going on a plane for the first time. We boarded with two ladies who spoke no english and I had quite the time helping them find their seats and put away their baggage, they were truly confused. The only thing they spoke that I understood is they kept saying "Orlando?". And I would shake my head and say yes, Orlando. As the plane began to lift off - Dillon and Madilyn held their hands in the air and let out a whew hew. It was very cute and funny and all the passengers got a kick out of it. They were acting as if they were on a roller coaster. Up Next: Orlando!

| Love how you shared with the kids they were going on a trip. My sons name is Dillon too. I don't see it spelled that way very often. It's actually my maiden name so that is how we came up with his name.
