| Day 1; (continued) ![]() Our plane arrived in Orlando around 10:45am. We used the directions that came enclosed with our Magical Express packet and had no problem finding the Magical Express counter. We were checked in quickly and directed to the pop century line , there was only one couple in front of us. But we waited, and waited, and waited. Madilyn started complaining non stop. I couldn't help but think if she was this miserable waiting in the airconditioned airport for the bus, how would we ever survive the next 8 days of waiting in various lines. We finally boarded the bus and in actuality, I think it was only about a 15 minute wait, but those 15 minutes really did drag by despite the fact that some of the cast members tried to interact with the children by giving them stickers and such. Madilyn perked up a little with the stickers and we were all excited to finally be getting on the bus and heading to Disney World. They played a welcome video on the way that the kids seemed to enjoy. It wasn't long before we were passing thru the Disney World gates and we were all excited! We were dropped off at pop century by 12:15 and were checked in quickly. I was very pleased to find out our room was ready. We hadn't eaten lunch yet, so we decided to go into the near by food court to eat before heading to the room. We had our carry on's with us but I still felt this made more since rather than tracking back and forth. We had to walk thru the gift shop and the kids were already begging to do some shopping (they each had their own money). We went thru the grill line. Wesley and Madilyn both ordered chicken breast nuggets and fries. Dillon and I both ordered chilli cheese dogs. And we ordered a basket of chilli cheese fries to split. We also got 4 of the refillable mugs to have for the trip. W esley and Madilyn really enjoyed their chicken and fries. However, neither Dillon nor myself cared much for the chilli cheese dogs. Dillon did enjoy the chilli cheese fries though. We ate it all none the less. After eating we headed to the room, stopping to take a few pictures along the way. The kids were really excited with all the large icons thru out the hotel. The room was a bit of a hike, in the eighties building. We discovered the next day that if you cut thru the nineties parking lot , it was a major short cut to the buses and the main lobby. The room was very neat and clean and had a few towel animals that the kids really enjoyed. The first thing Wesley wanted to do is see if they had cable. We briefly got settled and then we headed to the parks! Up Next: Animal Kingdom!
