| Oh Nala, what a crazy ride you've had so far. And you've barely just begun! When we went to Disney World the last time, we told our kids that we were going on vacation to Texas to visit the Alamo. When we got to the airport and told them that we were actually going to Disney, they were super excited, but 2 years later they are still a bit miffed about not getting to go to Texas and consistently ask us when we are going to make up that trip to them. Sheesh! I wonder if little Miss Kiara won't let that swimming pool thing go? Hmmmmm Can't wait to read more!

| The four of us made our way off the plane and headed to the lower level of the Sanford Airport and we were happy to find our driver, Daniel, waiting for us. Grumpy headed outside with Daniel while I took Kiara with Peter Pan to claim his one checked bag. The three of us waited for what seemed forever for the luggage to come off our plane, Daniel had long since returned to help with the one bag, and Grumpy came back in to see what the hold up was. The luggage had still not started to come off the plane, so I grabbed what I could handle of our carry on bags and headed out to the car with Daniel and Kiara to load up what we could. It was here that I discovered that we had received a nice upgrade from a town car to a SUV from Happy Limo. I was so happy for that considering the flight we had just had and the extra space in the SUV, compared to a town car, would allow us to stretch out a bit more on our long drive to the world. After what seemed an enterinty, Grumpy and Peter Pan came through the doors with the one checked bag in tow. The bag was loaded up and we were on our way. And after what seemed to be a forever long drive, we finally saw the sign that let us all know we had arrived in our beloved happy place. Daniel delivered us safely to the BC’s front door and the four of us headed in to begin the start of the magical trip we (or three of us) had been dreaming about for the past few days. And it was here that the fun After walking a few laps around the lobby in a tired stupor (the last time we stayed at the BC we were checked in curbside, as we had booked a concierge room, so I had no idea where the front desk was ) we located the the front desk and Kiara and I went to stand in the rather long, considering the hour of the night it was, line. (Ok, so there were like three people in front of us, but it was still a long line to me) Peter Pan and Grumpy dropped all of our baggage on the floor off to the side of the front desk and Grumpy then headed out to a DSA for a few moments. As I stood and waited my turn, I noticed Kiara doing the little dance that every parent knows all to well. The dreaded Pee Pee dance. Wonderful! With Grumpy nowhere in sight and not wanting to lose my place in line (which was really a very irrational thought considering the hour and the fact that no one was behind us, but hey, it was late, I was tired, I was in my happy place and not thinking clearly) and knowing that I couldn’t hand everything off to Peter Pan to take care of it as he would have no idea what to do, I crossed my fingers and hoped that Grumpy would return soon. When Grumpy didn’t return promptly, I called him and told him to get to the front desk in a hurry because Kiara was not only dancing, she was starting to get vocal as well. Grumpy appeared, I handed him the reservation confirmation and my driver’s license, grabbed Kiara by the hand and we made a mad dash across the lobby to the bathroom. Crisis averted! A few trips ago, someone posted the comment that it wouldn’t be a “Nala and Pride” TR without a bathroom story and this one is no excpetion. What I thought would be a quick trip to the bathroom soon turned into a very long ordeal and a time when Kiara decided to try my patience and push every one of my buttons she could. Kiara had a legitimate excuse for taking extra time in the bathroom, (hence explaining the issues on the plane) but after about five minutes I began to ask her is she was done. The standard response was “No, not yet” every time I asked her (which was about once every twenty seconds). Finally after a few minutes of this verbal exchange, I asked her again and her response was “Yes, I mean…… Noooo, not yet” and this time it was followed by an evil, little giggle. Clearly, my ornery, little girl was finished and had picked this moment to jack with her Momma. I told her I was going to count to three and if she wasn’t out, I was coming in after her. ONE……….TWO………..THREE………… Nothing but an evil giggle came out of the stall. ![]() I was so hoping that my best stern mother voice would have been enough to make her come out, but it was not to be. I realized that I had no choice but to go in after her. I really had no desire to do this, as slithering under a bathroom stall door is not on my list of top ten things to do, but I knew if I wanted to get Kiara out of the stall sometime in this century, I had no choice. I can only say that I am grateful that it was at the BC, as the floor looked immaculately clean. (my compliments to the lobby cleaning staff ) I crawled under the door, grabbed the now standing, giggling Kiara, opened the door and ushered her to the sink to wash her hands. By the time I got her out of the bathroom, Grumpy was only a few steps away from us as he had become concerned that something had happened. He also informed me that we had caused a back up at the front desk because I forgot to give him my credit card and the poor CM was left in limbo until I returned! After the plane ride we had, and the trying moment of Motherhood I had just had in the bathroom, I was just ready to get through the check in process and get to our room. I ran to the front desk and discovered our paperwork in process in one station and the CM in another station. She was forced to move to another station to help other guests and when she finished with them and came back to me, I apologized for the delay. She was very sweet and very understanding and I was very grateful for that. As she scanned my card and finished the check in process, both Grumpy and I noticed a couple down from us who were talking to a manager and inquiring as to if there was a room available for the night. They had a reservation for the next day and wanted to check in a day early, but the manager informed them that nothing was available. The BC was booked solid! I found myself feeling very sorry for the couple and at the same time grateful that we were not being “walked” to another resort due to our late check in. The nice CM had completed our paperwork and it was then that we experienced our first huge piece of magic on this trip. The words she said were music to my ears. “I am happy to inform you that you and your family have receive a complementary upgrade to our concierge floor.” ![]() ![]() ![]() Holy Cow! Holy WOW! WELCOME TO WALT DISNEY WORLD! I cannot put into words how happy and excited I was. What a perfect trip for this to happen on as we were so looking forward to sharing the magic with Peter Pan. This wonderful piece of magic was the perfect way to start out this special trip. We grabbed our bags, headed to the elevator, and it was Kiara who showed Peter Pan how to use a room key to access our floor. After a trying flight, a long ride to the world, and a rather stressful moment with Kiara in the bathroom, this little piece of magic was the perfect thing to jump start this trip. Grumpy and I were grinning from ear to ear as the elevator carried us to the 5th floor. Up next: Another magical surprise and “Will they EVER go to sleep?”

| Sometimes those threats come back to haunt us don't they? ![]() You threaten them with a punishment you're hoping you don't have to follow through with and then...bam! You're stuck with it. LOL!! Way to go on your upgrade...I can't wait to hear how Peter Pan liked it.

| I am all over this TR, what with Grumpy's love for toe cramps and turbulence, crawling underneath the stall, and now an UPGRADE to Concierge...you certainly deserve it! ![]()
