| Well, Danielle, I think I got the bad kooties for the MS shot this week. I was cranky and sore and sick feeling all day. So, let's hope that I "took one for the team" and you'll come off Scot free! I'll be warming up a seat in the AKL lounge for you! ![]() Eileen

| The best laid plans of mica and men often go awry….. First off, a big thank you for the MS shot pixies....they definitely worked and my side effects were quite minimal. (A big thanks to Eileen to taking a hit for the team; although I am sorry your shot was kind of icky) Today went very well considering I had my shadow, er, my son hanging around with me today! I managed to sneak away and check us in on Southwest. Did well and snagged all “A” groups. Of course DH always does the best as he is automatically checked in by Southwest since he is on the A-list. I waited patiently and when Andrew hopped into the shower, I went to work printing out the four boarding passes! I was feeling rather proud of myself as the kids were still totally in the dark! Well, the big reveal didn’t go quite as planned. While I thought waking the kids up to MK Opening music was just a stellar idea, my darling DH did not. His point was well taken, I knew the kids would need a bit of time to go through their pins and decide which were coming on the lanyard, which would come along for trading, and which would stay home. He thought that it would be a little stressful to get up and go. Of course, this was a bit of a predicament as I had no back up plan. I decided no matter how we choose to reveal, it would still be a bit of a shock. Paul came home from a business trip around 5pm. The kids were excited to see him and they started talking about weekend plans. Izzy asked to go to Build-A-Bear Workshop. Paul sort of scrunched his face and said “well, we COULD do that, if you really want…but I was thinking of something else.” With that, Andrew’s ears perked right up. He stood up, sort of shaking, his voice wavering and asked “are we going to Disney?” Paul and I sort of volleyed back and forth at this point. “I don’t know, should we? Could we? What do you think guys?” In the meantime, this is all going well over Izzy’s head and she asks if she could go visit her old classroom this weekend as she is missing it. On the other hand, Andrew is about to burst with anticipation! “What is going on? Are you kidding me? PLEASE TELL ME WHAT WE ARE DOING!!!!” Paul and I look at each other, smile and then look at Andrew….we don’t even say a word. Andrew is on the verge of tears, tears of happiness, that is. He manages to croak out “when?” “Tomorrow” I answer. Apparently, Izzy now understands what is going on. The kids are in disbelief. They start firing questions rapid fire…. When was this planned? Where are we staying? How long are we staying for? Where are we eating? All in all, it was a great reveal…the kiddos were absolutely surprised and they are busily prepping to leave the house in oh, 12 hours!!! Arriverderci!

| Well this trip sounds like it revealed itself perfectly. I love Andrew's reaction. I want my son to love Disney that much when he gets to be Andrew's age. I am working very hard on the brainwashing now. Have a great trip and give the CLT a hi from me.

| Oh how exciting. I hope you remember the look on their faces. One of my best memories was the look on my youngest sons face when I told him in the airport we were going to DW not North Carolina. I will always treasure that moment.
