great update! Hope grandma gets the hang of the scooter soon..........

So we returned the scooters to the rental counter and headed out to the car, since we were going to head to Pleasure Island after Dinner we wanted to have the car with us! So we loaded into the Mini Van and I drove over to the Boardwalk Resort, which was right across the street! love me a short drive time!

We pulled up they looked at our id's and told us to have a nice dinner. We drove to the Valet area and dropped the car off. It is my birthday so I think we can splurge for Valet this time! We headed in and showed grandma the lobby and then headed downstairs for dinner.

Spoodle's is one of my favorite meals and we only discovered it a few trips ago we should have tried it sooner but now its one of our Standard meals!

So We had a few of these to drink:

Mom had the Kabobs



Grandma had the pasta with Shrimps



Now we did order dessert but it wasn't necessary this is what came out instead...




It was Delicious! Mom bought it for me but there was a mishap and well we got it for Free its a very long story and I am sure they won't let that happen again

After we boxed up the rest of the cake we paid the bill and headed out through the sweet shop where they noticed my birthday button and gave me free lollipops in the shape of mickey heads. like I needed anymore sugar!

We went back up to the lobby took a few photos before heading back to the AKL to get ready for Pleasure Island.





I just have to say that I LOVE the Boardwalk Hotel, we stayed there in 2004 I think it was but I'd love to stay there again. The theme, and the building colors are so fun!



We got the car and drove back to the AKL to get ready. We left around 9 and headed over towards Pleasure Island. We went to the first show of the Comedy Club and hung out at the Adventurer's club or a whle, we saw the show in the mask room, the trophy room and the main parlor but never got to the library as Grandma was wearing out and she being hard of hearing didn't really "get" the whole thing and was getting cranky!

We had a great time, but we had no idea that it might be the last time to see that glorious Adventurer's club! But in tribute I must say:

We headed back to AKL and Imagine what I found in the room a gift basket with a stuffed Grumpy, another pin, and some candy seems mom had ordered it from Memories by Betsy and I mom and grandma so much for doing so!

Then my good friend from Passporter Dyan (Dyankj130) managed to shock me by having this delievered! Dyan!




I it!

We tucked ourselves in and dreamt of our early morning at AK tomorrow! I had the best birthday ever with Grandma sharing in the Magic of Disney and every little bit of pixie dust that hit me today and throughout the trip!

AKL is now one of our favorite hotels where else can I see Giraffe outside my room?? except maybe in Africa ...DISNEY!!!

Great update! Glad you liked the flowers! I ordered the Mickey ones - they don't even have the Minnie ones in their online store - them! I had so much fun with your mom going back & forth in PMs helping her with birthday ideas!! She didn't know what I was doing, but she knew I was up to something. Glad you had a wonderful day!
