That first hotel sounds pretty scary and the prison makes it more so.
The outside of your apartment building looks nice. Glad you found one you liked.

Continued Wednesday May 20

After Ben and I made our plans for the night. I called my mom to confirm my little sisters flight for the next day.
She thought we were picking her up from the airport at 8:30 AM and then starting our drive to North Carolina…but instead we were spending the night at the POP and going to the P&PP.

After I got of the phone with my mom I finally was able to do something two day in the making. I took a shower. As you know I was to scared to take a shower at the other hotel. ..So I took a nice long one at the POP. After we both got dressed we headed out for our night of fun.

We got in line for the Magic Kingdom bus and only waited a short timrefor a bus to pull up. In a couple of minutes we were in front of Magic kingdom so Ben and I went to will call to pick up our tickets for P&PP the next night.

After will call we were off on the monorail. We decided to skip the Contemporary (not our cup of tea) and headed over to the Polynesian. At this point my lunch was a distant memory so we went over to Captain Cooks …I really wanted to try one of those Hawaiian pork sandwiches but knew we would be eating later so I just picked up some sushi and woofed it down in no time flat.

We made our way to the Tambu Lounge for our first adult beverage. I really wanted the drink in a pineapple but thought it would be to expensive so I got champagne with mango sorbet in it and Ben had a ginger mojito ….the drinks were yummy…the bill came and my drink was $15 YIKES! I should have got the pineapple drink …Ben made fun of me because at the Mall of the Millennia
I ordered a chocolate covered strawberry at Godiva thinking it would be around $3.00 and it ended up being $6.50…

Oh well from hear on out I will be more cautious…but I do suggest the champagne drink for anyone who wants to splurge….it was awesome.

After our drinks we wondered through the gift shops and then caught the monorail to the Grand Floridian.

The Grand Floridian was amazing. It was high class and fancy. Ben and I strolled around while the piano player was playing in the main lobby. We then went to Mizner's Lounge and I ordered a glass of chardonnay (the price was on the menu thankfully) and Ben had a Stella. We took our drinks out to one of the balconies and enjoyed the view.

The heat was getting to us so we decided to enjoy our drinks in the lobby.

As we sat the big band upstairs began to play…it was very romantic...i felt so Gatsbyish Ben and I wanted to dance but were a little embarrassed at all the strolling families and kids.

After our drinks we looked around a bit b/c I wanted to see where 1900 Park Fare was b/c I really want to eat there one day. I was able to peak inside on the way to the restroom and I saw Prince Charming…I was so excited…I gave a little wave and then headed out to find Ben (my prince charming).

Our time at the Grand Floridian was nice but it was time to say goodbye.

We took the bus to DTD. We decided we wanted to hit the Adventurers Club early show b/c the first show is free…so we headed inside.

We love this place. We always try to swing in at least once during our trips. If you are fan of the Adventurers Club I know I don’t need to say anything else…it’s a great place to have a drink (or two or five) and have a laugh.

I had a kungaloosh punch and a beer…and had a great time in the library for the sing along. I love the looks on the faces of people who end up in here with no idea of the premise…all I can say is that we spent a little over an hour here and as usual had the best time ever.

We left to find a bite to eat. We really were getting tired of all the fast food so we decided to see the wait time at Raglan Road we had been drooling over the menu on AllEars the week before. I asked the hostess the wait time for a party of two…and even though it looked really crowded she was able to seat us right away.

As soon as we walked in we knew we would love this place. We were seated right on the side of the stage but the band had not started playing yet.
We looked over the menu for along time when our waitress came we ordered two flights of beers…we were tempted to try the scotch flight but knew tonight was not the night to try this out.

She returned with our beers and we were finally ready to order.

**not sure why Ben looks go gloomy here?

I ordered the Crock 'o' Mussels - Fresh Blue Hill Bay mussels served in a saffron, grape tomato and leek broth

Ben ordered Keen Eye for the Sheperds Pie - We give the traditional Shepherd's Pie (prime beef and lamb) a much-needed makeover with our contemporary twist to this favorite dish

Both of our meal were delicious but mines took the cake…Ben kept begging me for another mussel they were amazing.

The band started playing as soon as our meals arrived. The band was absolutely delightful as was the Irish dancer who danced on the tables in the middle of the restaurant.

After we finished our meal …we took care of the tab leaving a nice tip for our waitress …she was very attentive even though this place was really crowded .

At this point we decided to call it a night…after all we had to pick up Mallory at the Orlando airport at 8:30 AM. It was such a fun Disney day! And we didn’t even step foot into a park.

It was so nice to sleep that night in a nice comfy Disney bed.

Next up …Mallorys big surprise!
