| Thanks for all the great comments, everyone! Quote:
In all fairness, I was actually writing my update when she posted that. Quote:
I still just start singing it at random times. Jordan! It's Mary! I don't think I've said it before, but I really enjoy getting to hang out with Zack. He cracks me up!Quote:
That's the oddest picture! If I didn't know I hadn't been drinking at all, I'd suspect I was tipsy when I took it. But quitcher-you-know-what'in. At least I didn't make it my sig pic. ![]() Quote:
No worries. You'll get plenty of opportunities to sleep with me in the future. Sheesh! Quote:
I think my top 3 safaris have been shortly after a rain storm. It's really a good time to go! Quote:
I actually think I would've ridden with him more often if I didn't ride with Thom a few times! It was pretty funny. Quote:
I'll let you know how it tastes if I ever have one which just might be on my very next visit to Tusker House. ![]() Quote:
I really enjoy riding with strangers who get into it. It's much more fun than riding with boring strangers. Quote:
I'm 100% positive that Disney didn't intend the dino to be... shall we say anatomically correct? But some people with active imaginations have seen "clues." Personally my imagination isn't active enough, I guess, because I didn't see anything that "might be" anything else. More TR in a bit!!

| Day Five – Tuesday, June 3 Another First For Me I was up and about early and was ready in plenty of time to be at the MK before the EMH opening. I decided I wanted a cup of tea. Mystic Dunes has a continental breakfast buffet every morning, so I drove over, figuring I’d grab a cup of tea to go. When I got to the pool area where they have the buffet, I noticed there wasn’t anyone there, but I didn’t think anything of it. All the food was set up and ready. I didn’t see any tea bags, so I walked up to the window into the clubhouse to ask if they had any tea. I was told, quite snottily, that they didn’t open until 7:30. ![]() OK, I also need to make a bit of a confession. I stole 3 sugar packs. But only because they were mean! I’m such a rebel! Aaaaaaaaanyway, I hit the road to the MK. The MK is the furthest away of the parks from MD (which is actually quite close to DHS, and I also discovered a fantastic shortcut to AKL, but that has nothing to do with anything True to form, it was near the end of the row, but in this case, that was actually closer to the park entrance. The ferry wasn’t operating yet, so I joined the queue for the express monorail. There was already a monorail in the station, but it was clear that it was having technical difficulties. There weren’t any passengers and they were trying to get it moving to get it out of the station. All the while, the clock is ticking and the crowds are building. I sent a text to Eileen to let her know I was being delayed. After at least 10 minutes, a resort monorail arrived and they diverted the waiting crowd to that one. Unfortunately, the CM closed the gate literally in front of me. I told her I was only one person and would surely fit, but she made me wait. Grr! There was quite a lot of room of course, and I knew that it was because they needed to save room for the guests who were getting on at the resorts, but I was burnin’ daylight here! They finally cleared the troublesome monorail on the express side, but another monorail came in on the resort side first (which was good for me, because I’d actually walked down the ramp and over to the resort monorail because I wasn’t sure there would be another express monorail any time soon). Once I was seated, I sent a text to Eileen that I was finally on a monorail! ![]() Unfortunately, that monorail had some issues too. ![]() I joined Karen and Eileen in the Main Street Bakery, where they were finishing their breakfast. Then we headed to Fantasyland and did a bunch of rides there in rapid succession (and happily, I didn’t have some random family try to squeeze into the car with me on the Pooh ride). When it was time to do Tom Sawyer Island, Eileen made up some excuse to get out of it, but it was really because she didn’t want Karen and maybe me, too to torture her when she was crossing the barrel bridge. Our raft was delayed a bit waiting for the Liberty Belle. ![]() Once we docked over at TSI, the CM announced that there were special surprises hidden on the Island and for those that found them, there would be a prize. Unfortunately, this caused the kids (and some adults) to go rushing around looking for paintbrushes rather than just enjoying themselves. Karen and I took a more casual approach to touring TSI (well, I took more of a take-a-zillion-photos approach). This is one of my favorite photos We both crossed the barrel bridge without incident. ![]() I liked TSI a lot, but I really enjoyed the views of Liberty Square and Frontierland. Check out this shot of the Haunted Mansion! ![]() We could see that BTMRR wasn’t running, but we could hear them doing tests, so we decided to wait for a bit to get a photo with the train in it. They made a few runs with empty trains, ![]() but they didn’t let any passengers on while we were watching. Karen suggested that we head there next, because we’d likely get there right when it opened again, with a short line. But first, a bit more exploring. ![]() We found Eileen on a bench and then headed to… BTMRR. Weren’t you paying attention?! And it was operating, with a standby that was quite doable. Eileen and I rode together and Karen went by herself. I took a self portrait on the ride and I love it so much. It really shows how much fun we’re having. ![]() I can’t look at this picture without laughing! Next on the agenda was Splash. It was fun! Eileen got soaked! Karen and I got a little wet too. Somehow Eileen thinks that because she doesn’t have the good sense to duck when hundreds of gallons of water are being forced at her, it’s somehow not her fault that she gets wet (and consequently, it ends up being our fault, since we had the good sense to duck). Harrumph! That’s what Karen and I did!We cut through to Adventureland and ended up heading in for the next showing of the Enchanted Tiki Room. ![]() While the preshow was on, I got a call from Tina (loobyoxlip). We were hoping to get a chance to hang out with Tina, but she was in a different park (I think they were at the Studios? I didn’t take notes, remember). It was Tina’s last day, so we were all pretty bummed that we wouldn’t get to see her again. After the Tiki Room, we decided to do another show, the Country Bear Jamboree. I went inside and had a seat while Eileen and Karen went for some liquid refreshments. While I was seated inside, a woman with an infant came and sat on the bench next to me. I really only noticed her because when I say “infant,” I really mean “newborn.” I don’t think her baby was older than 2 or 3 weeks old. But what I really remember was a woman coming up to her and asking why on Earth she had such a young baby out among all these people (not her exact words, but that was definitely her tone). I thought it was pretty rude. I mean I’d never do it, but I’m certainly not going to be rude enough to practically call someone a bad mother because they do. Eileen and Karen joined me once they’d finished their drinks, and shortly thereafter, we headed into the show. I immediately thought of the guy who sounded like Mater who sat behind me the last time I saw this show. This time, there was a British family behind me, but they were acting just like the Mater guy (but with British accents instead of Southern accents). I thought it was hilarious! I am starting to think that I could watch this show completely without audio and laugh and laugh. I’m weird, I know. ![]() After the CBJ, it was time for Karen and the boys to head over to Fort Wilderness for horseback riding. Eileen and I decided to head back for some quality time at SAB. We got the monorail (giving up the front cab to some guests who seemed really disappointed not to get it) and walked right out to my excellent, super-close parking spot. Eileen didn’t compliment me on my amazing parking spot, but I’m sure it was only because she was so in awe of it. ![]() When we arrived at the BC, we had a nice surprise in the room from a wonderful PassPorter and fellow ELC member, DawnDenise. ![]() There was a plush for each of us (Tinker Belle for Karen, Minnie for Eileen and of course Goofy for the goofy one ) and a Disney gift card with a note to enjoy an FB compliments of Dawn. Dawn! And we toasted you while enjoying our FBs later in the trip) PassPorters are the absolute best!! I sent Dawn a thank you text, but unfortunately, my cellphone doesn’t send photo messages, so this is the first chance for anyone to see it! Yay! Scoop for me! ![]() Up Next: Around the World in a Bathing Suit ![]()

| Sorry the monorail was dragging...I get so very antsy when that happens, especially for park opening. Love the pics of TSI, I have only been once and I don't remmber it being nearly as interesting as your pics look...perhaps I need to give it a second chance. How awesome of Dawn to send a gift basket and quite appropriate, too. danielle
