| Day Three, Part Two An Evening with my New Family ![]() Shortly after Karen and the boys caught the bus (there weren’t enough seatbelts for 5 passengers – well there seemed to be, but we couldn’t find both parts of one of them), Eileen and I hopped in the RAV4 and drove over to the Contemporary. We arrived in no time and valet parked the car. Since DVC members get free valet parking at DVC resorts, we thought we could use my parking pass, but since the Contemporary is not an “official” DVC resort yet, we had to use my DDE card. Once that was settled, we went on up to Chef Mickeys. Karen and the boys showed up shortly thereafter, and Karen went to check us in. While we were there, much to my delight, Angie (angiek1024) and her DH Scott (DScottRN) came up and said hello. I’d met them before, but it was the first time that Eileen, Karen and Jill (who’d joined us by now) met them. Their DS Logan wasn’t with them, but now I forget why. After a nice little chat, Angie and Scott headed off and we joined the rest of Jill’s family in the lounge. There was a bit of a wait for a table, but I was nicely entertained by Jill’s DM. She’s just the sweetest person and I had so much fun chatting with her. She told me she understood about Jill’s internet friends because she has some friends that she met on the internet herself! I guess she liked me too, because she offered to adopt me too, so now I have two moms. Once we were seated, the action started right away. We got a visit from Donald Duck. Mary Devall was always ready for a hug and a photo with the characters, but Maddie enjoyed the characters from a safe distance. I don’t remember much about the food, but I did enjoy the food, because I remember feeling stuffed. Karen had arranged for a cake for Zack and Michael’s birthdays (well, more like average birthday). It arrived right in the middle of our meal, but I guess nobody cared. ![]() Zack, being Zack, We all laughed about it, and I caught the host, Chef Mickey’s reaction.![]() I also got a photo of Mickey with Mary Devall, which would’ve been really cute if I didn’t catch Mary Devall mid-blink. ![]() Still cute, though! ![]() When Minnie passed by, Mrs. Rankin grabbed her so she could greet her number one fan, but it was time for some napkin waving and parading, so Eileen had to wait. I love watching Eileen’s interactions with Minnie for two reasons – her delight is just magical to witness, and she makes my interactions with Goofy seem less dorky. I mean, at least my face isn’t flushed in the photos. ![]() ![]() Speaking of dorky interactions, Goofy was the next visitor to our table. I was completely composed and didn’t have any doofy looks on my face (and don’t look at anyone else’s TRs for photographic evidence – just trust me ![]() Except, Mary Devall is the only one who was looking at my camera. Thom was getting ready to take a picture of Karen and Eileen who were getting ready to take a picture of Zack with Goofy. Got that? ![]() Goofy next came over and gave me a hug, and I nonchalantly smiled and posed for a photo. But don’t go looking for it or anything. Pluto came by next. ![]() Donald Duck came back and started playing with Pluto. Then he tied a knot in poor Pluto’s tail! ![]() Poor Pluto! A CM had to untie his tail and scolded Donald. Finally, Maddie got up the courage to approach Pluto. Someone said Pluto was just like Ralphie, her dog, and she should pet him. She approached him cautiously, screwed up her courage, and… ![]() Everyone at the table cheered, but the absolute best thing was Maddie’s reaction. She jumped for joy and clapped her hands and shouted “I touched Pluto.” That’s one of my favorite memories from the whole trip. So sweet! After a couple of rounds of Miss Mary Mack ![]() and a bit more napkin twirling ![]() we were ready to hit the MK. It was too late to get the monorail (since the resort monorail goes MK, Contemporary, TTC, Poly, GF, MK) so we decided to walk. Jill’s parents took Maddie back to the AKL while Jill, Thom, Mary Devall and the CLT walked over (the boys had left earlier, but I don’t remember exactly when). Once we arrived at the MK (and some racing for the turnstiles last one in is a rotten egg!) we rushed up Main Street to catch Wishes. We found a spot right in front of the Plaza, and the show started moments later. I don’t have any photos, because I was concentrating on watching the show. And by that, I mean watching Eileen watch Wishes. It’s my new fav! It’s absolutely marvelous watching her squeak and squeal and anticipate her favorite parts. I’ll never be able to watch Wishes the same way again, and I’ll certainly never watch it without thinking of my BFF’s awesome reactions. Once Wishes was through, Mary Devall navigated through the mass on Main Street, and then we headed to ride BTMRR. We met up with the boys and then hopped in line for the wildest ride in the wilderness. I won’t mention the CM who was making crazy sound effects because then it makes me think of the stupid crazy sound effects and then I hear them in my head over and over. Oh crap! Now those crazy sounds will be stuck in my head. I know! I’ll hum something else. “it’s a small world after all, it’s a small…” Wait that’s worse! Aack! Let’s think about something else, mmmkay? We all had a blast on BTMRR and next we walked over to the Haunted Mansion, getting our EMH wristbands on the way. HEY! Who’s that making those crazy sound effects? He kept it up for a while. I have no idea when he actually stopped doing it, because once we all boarded our doom buggies, I had something to distract me (and also, he wasn’t near me after that, so he could’ve done it the rest of the night for all I know). OK, enough about the stupid crazy sound effects. Sheesh, why do I always do that? After the HM, we rode Buzz. I think Mary Devall was deciding what we should ride next. Somehow BTMRR, HM, Buzz doesn’t seem like something I read on the BAS. ![]() I CREAMED Eileen (right Karen – more than double her score, that’s what you call CREAMED right? I mean, if you score 20,000 or 30,000 more points than someone, that can hardly be CREAMING them, right? But 500,000 more points? I CREAMED her.) By the way, if you read that thinking “what’d I miss?” here’s the explanation. When we rode TSM, Eileen had to send a text to Tiff bragging about how she creamed me and Karen (making no mention of how I totally kicked her booty on Buzz). Here’s the post from the CLT Live Updates thread Quote:

![]() In case you were wondering, my score on TSMM was 110,000. And her alleged “creaming” of me took place after my actual creaming of her. And also, Karen got a higher score on Buzz than Eileen. Eileen claims her laser wasn’t working well. I guess that happens sometimes. After my TRIUMPH (actually, I didn’t brag about it – this is actually the most I’ve said on it at all), we took a spin on the Peoplemover, and then met up with the boys. Mary Devall had gotten her second (or more like fifth) wind and was ready for more park time. The CLT-1+2 were ready to call it a night. I wasn’t actually that tired and thought for a long time about staying with the Koenigs, but I decided instead to hit the sack and get up for EMH at the Studios the next morning. Eileen decided that she would join me for EMH, so she told me to text her at 7:00 to make sure she was awake. Remember that for later. We said goodnight to the Koenigs and headed out. The CLT-1+2 caught a bus and I monorailed to the Contemporary, picked up my car, and drove back to Mystic Dunes.Up Next: Eileen CREAMS Karen and Me on Toy Story Mania

| Great update and I can't wait to see what happens on your end. Since we all know who Eileen blames (that would be yo, but I'm not naming names or anything.) For you riding without her.

| Great installment! I'd say doubling an opponent's score is a creaming. ![]()

| Having seen the "Goofy" picture of him with his adorning fan I will have to say that it is a wonderful picture Sharon and no way dorky or goofy. And I think it shows a mutual appreciation for each other....(heck Goofy is lucky to be taking his picture with Princess Sharon - the FP Queen and extrodinaire of the FB). Great update....loved hearing more about Mary Devall leading the pack through MK and that is one impressive score on Buzz ![]() |

| Oh.... I was CREAMED on Buzz. No doubt about it. However,.... the "creamed" comment from me on TSMM was actually when I got a score that was just shy of doubling Karen's score. I had 139,100 and she told me she had something in the 70,000 range. But... seeing as how there were several tense hours between us after that, I think it's best if we all forget about this for now. MMMMMMKAY?! Loved this update, Sharon. Every moment a gem and a delight. And thank you, Dyan, for including the doofy "headless horseman" picture I took of Sharon and Goofy. ![]() Eileen
