Marnie, your family will love POFQ. We just got back from a quick last min. stay there and thought the resort was perfect. Very clean and well maintained. Mousekeeping always had our room done by noon which was important because we had my DGD, a very active 2yo who needed that afternoon nap (or maybe we needed the break LOL).
The pool was fun and the food court, while on the small side seemed to flow well even when the lines were long. The convience of having those boats to get to DTD is another plus and opened up all kinds of additional fun options for us.
Also don't forget you can use the pool over at POFQ sister resort POR.
We really enjoyed our stay and would return. We are also deluxe "brats" and actually did a split stay at YC/AKL in April. But I just loved POFQ and have lots of good things to say about it.

I really think you will be pleasantly surprised at POFQ. The kids will love the pool area! The resort is filled with so much detail! I especially loved walking around the resort at night!

Sounds like a good beginning ... hopefully the rest of your planning turned out just as well. I didn't realize Colin and Joshua were the same age ... we start first grade next week!!! It will be interesting, since we just got back from our trip to WDW, how these two 6-year-olds' trip experiences may be similar, or different. Is he going to ride everything? Joshua rode most, although I did keep him off some of the more intense ones, especially at the beginning of the trip.

Colin is going to try to ride everything. But, he's only 43" tall, so some things are still out of reach. Not sure of EE, with shoes on he might make it, but RnRC is definitely out. Not sure about ToT either. I'm just happy that we don't have to do baby swap for the big rides anymore What a timesaver

I figured with Colin going into the second grade there was a 50/50 chance that he was 7. He is in his 7th year of life though!! Another 7!!
