| What a great time at the Magic Kingdom and how neat you made it for the opening ceremony - we've never seen that yet.

| Great update!! I too found this past trip that my kids (and they are much younger than yours) were much more difficult to get up! I relish the days when I could just dress them and stick them in the strollers and go Glad you had a great time at MK More please

| Great update!! Sounds like a fun morning in MK! How great that you were able to get 2 teenage girls there in time for the opening ceremony!! I bet the girls loved their bit of independence today, as well. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I heard if you drink something hot when it's hot out, it actually makes you feel cooler. Don't know if it works, but it didn't sound strange that you were looking for coffee. Can't wait to hear more

| Thanks for all the nice comments everyone and for taking the time to read my TR. I'm hoping to add another update this evening. So far, it's been easy...I've had notes from Kristen the 1st 3 days...after that things may sound a bit like "Went to MK today and did 'stuff' can't remember what...but it was fun!" Wish me luck with my memories ![]()

| A little rest, a little rain and a lot of complaining (not on our part )After arriving back at our resort, the girls headed straight for the quiet pool, while DH and I just took a face dive on the bed for a little nap time The heat was draining the energy right out of us ![]() Once we were all rested, showered and freshened up we needed to get back to the MK for our 6:20 ADR for Liberty Tree Tavern We made it back with plenty of time to spare. Our plan was to ride a few rides before dinner…mainly Buzz…I was on a mission and it had nothing to do with evil Emperor Zurg! As we were making our way down Main St, I begged everyone for a photopass (so far this vacation we’d only gotten a few…and I prepaid for the CD ) After a little complaining, we found a photographer and asked for our pics to be taken My DH made the comment that we’d prepaid for the CD and the photographer got all excited She asked if we minded waiting a few minutes for the ending of the castle show…fireworks would be going off and would make a great photo. Since we had time and I really wanted some good photos, we waited…and waited…and waited. Meanwhile, people were coming and going getting their pics taken….with us still waiting. One I was just wishing that was us Finally, the photographer told us to get ready for some action. It was a little hard taking that picture without flinching when the fireworks went off. Afterwards, I realized we all had on our sunglasses (except for Amanda)…oh well...I thought it was nice of the photographer to take that extra time with us…it pays off telling them you prepaid for the CD ![]() Here’s a couple of the pics… ![]() We still had time for a quick trip on Buzz, but by the time we got there we had a little bit of teen drama to deal with ![]() By the time we made it to LTT it was raining pretty good We thought to check in a little early…30 min. early, but were quickly sent away to come back in 20 min. Since there was really nothing we could do for 20 min we sat outside and people watched. It was relaxing since Steve & I were sitting by the shooting gallery and the girls were still at LTT (still had a little drama going ) We ended up going back after 20 min to find the girls waiting on the porch near the entrance to LTT…waiting patiently for us Soon we were seated at our table and enjoying our meal. ![]() (Kristen is cooling down Chip...or is it Dale )They keep things moving pretty quickly here, which is fine with us Especially this day…the lights flickered due to the weather, which caused the air conditioning to turn off Everytime he came to the table he remarked how if the AC doesn’t come on soon they’ll have to shut the restaurant down and no one should have to work in these conditions. He pointed out how the floors get like an ice rink with a change in the humidity and he’s lucky he doesn’t fall down…on and on. We ended up trying to get out of there quickly, it was getting hotter and I was getting tired of the tirade but that wasn’t such an easy task 1st we asked for just ice cream for the girls along with the regular dessert for Steve & I…we got our cobbler with 2 scoops ice cream…the girls got nothing. At first I thought we were meant to split those 2 scoops into 4 because the waiter never came back with ice cream. Finally when we did see him and reminded him about it, he admitted he’d forgotten (must’ve been the heat…) but then it still took him a long time to get it…must’ve been hard walking on the ice rink The girls finally got their ice cream and we quickly gave him our room key before he left our site. Once we finished up, we headed out of there quickly and guess what…that floor does become quite slick with a change in humidity…no one cracked their noggin’ but I can see how it could be dangerous to keep the restaurant open with that risk It was still raining outside…HARD! But we had our ponchos and used them wisely while making our way to Mickey PhilharMagic… it everytime! Next in line was IASW and after this we decided to call it a night…still raining hard.![]() At the buses, there was a huge line for POR but no line and an almost empty bus for POFQ just waiting…So, I had the brilliant idea of hoping on that bus (it would have taken us 2-3 bus loads for POR) then we could take the boat to POR Which is what we did, and it was a good move because I had an ulterior motive also I didn’t really know what they were but I wanted some but they don’t taste too good a few days later…fresh is best! Steve & Kristen got ice cream sandwiches which were huge…these however were not available for a snack credit. Amanda didn’t want anything. Our boat ride was nice and relaxing and over pretty quickly, so remember that the next time you’re staying at POR and the lines are huge for the buses…but use caution and check when the boats stop running ![]() Up next…"get me off these buses!"

| What a great morning at MK...it must be such a different trip now that the girls are old enough to wander Sounds like the afternoon rest was definitely needed in the heat...sorry the rain put a bit of a damper on the evening and that the AC caused some problems at LTT but the girls looked as if they were having a great time with the characters and even with the rain you got to enjoy some rides before heading back. What a great idea of heading to POFQ for a snack and to get on a bus quicker...(must remember that when we stay at POR in December)

| What a shame about the air conditioning at LTT.
