| Okay, so I am officially horrible. I know. It's been a long time coming, but I've accepted it. I haven't been on the boards in like a month! Stupid facebook has sucked the life out of me when I'm on the computer...... and everything else has kept me busy off the computer... a little catch up first I guess. A lot of you guys are my friend on my facebook so you probably already know all of this... Flew down and stayed with the Bakers over Memorial Day weekend. We did Orlando Baker style. Only went to Epcot one day. Ate some AWESOME meat at the gaucho place The first week of June we drove to Chattanooga, TN to the Riverbend Festival where we got to see Train for the first time in almost 3 years. Great show, great town, great fun. We just got home last night from a week long trip to the Outer Banks with my in-laws (T&K), BIL and his wife. It was a great week that went by incredibly too fast. And now we're down to less than 2 weeks before we're off for Disney again!!! Andy Loflin, we've got to slow down............. So I figure it's now or never. I've got to finish this dead and buried TR. I never feel like a trip is complete until I do a TR, so let's get on with it already. I made notes for this trip, so I'm basically going to go straight off those, so I apologize for lack of humor, detail, etc. So our second morning was Easter morning. I set the wake up call for 6:45 and when it came I at first thought it was change #3 because music played for a bit....but then finally Stitch came on and gave us the usual routine Andy got up and showered and I got up to cut the air down cause for some reason we like to sleep in a freezer and I discovered the Easter Bunny had visited the All Star Movies last night! There was an Easter Basket by the door. (very familiar, the red mickey shaped basket I had kept from a previous gift....how crafty of the Easter Bunny to use that! So Andy came out all smiling like he does and was like "what??? " So then I found out that not only did the Easter Bunny bring a basket, he apparently hid eggs LAST NIGHT WHILE I WAS IN THE BATH! Clever little bunny he is. So I had to hunt for the eggs in the room....which I suck at by the way. Let's stop and think about the size of those ASMo rooms...there's only so much space....but I still had to have Andy go around the little space and play hot or cold with me Each egg had a candy treat inside One egg was found in my clothes drawer, which I had opened the night before and Andy said he was freaking out b/c the egg was right there in front of my face and I didn't even see it I'm so observant So I finally found all and opened all but one egg. The last egg....the GOLDEN egg....did not contain candy It contained a piece of paper. It was a special note written by the Easter Bunny explaining that I had a scavenger hunt challenge today at the Animal Kingdom... it went on to explain that it was a photo scavenger hunt and that he had hacked into my iPhone and uploaded the photos that I had to find (which immediately explained why Andy wouldn't let me upload photos the night before ) So there were 15 spots/items I had to find and photograph in order to get the prize from the Easter Bunny. Well let's not waste any time! We got ready and were on the bus to the AK by 7:30....![]() While we waited for a few minutes we noticed the hot air balloon over the resort.... this one I took with my iPhone so you may have seen it on Facebook. We were at the park by opening at 8 and headed to EE. ![]() On the way I knocked out a BUNCH of the hunt. I'm not going to post all those photos right now... maybe later. We FP'd EE, and then rode twice by waiting in line and did all of this in like 30 minutes. There was no wait at that time. We noticed that they finally got Josh Gates' (Destination Truth) Yeti footprint cast in their now! ![]() I was so excited to finally see this! After 3 times on Everest we decided to head over to Dinosaur. I knew there was a piece of the hunt over in Dinoland so we'd hit up on the way. Dinosaur proved to be another hilarious ride. We had two of the scaredest old ladies behind us and they cracked us up the whole time. They were laughing, screaming, ducking, going nuts! It was too funny! After Dinosaur and another score on the scavenger hunt we went in search of food. We decided we'd eat breakfast at Pizzafari because we had the CS plan and could use some snack credits for breakfast. But first we stopped to see Stitch because he was hanging out at the Island Merc. ![]() We exchanged Happy Easters and he checked out my pins as usual Pizzafari was a good choice for breakfast. I had a huge muffin and some OJ while Andy battled the biscuit and gravy. ![]() The biscuit won. He had to give up ![]() We also took some time to do a stupid photo in Pizzafari... ![]() After breakfast it was getting close to 10 so we headed over to the Safaris. It proved to be fairly exciting this time as their was a HIPPO FIGHT! Right as we came around the corner these two hippos were not seeing eye to eye apparently. Scared the daylights out of me! Now here's the most interesting story of the trip I think. You see the top I had on that day up there in the Stitch pic. Well, yes it hangs very loose, it's very comfy.... so our safari ride was over and we were sitting in the second row. This family was in front of us....an older couple with a 4 or so year old little girl. The CM unloading folks was very strange and insisted on helping that family off and helping that little girl...he said something like "watch your step sweetie" and held on to her stepping off. Then he gets to us. Well I'm trying to get up which is like a bumble bumbling around b/c I've got my camera, when I stand up I've got to pull my shorts up a little because I can't stand how the slide down when I sit down, so I'm doing that with one hand, holding my camera with the other and the CM says to me something about watching my step and insists on helping me! He totally was trying to grab my hand which I didn't have a free one so he takes my arm and says "Watch your step there mom" After the safari we walked through the trail. This gorilla cracked us up... ![]() And Andy pointed out you can see us in the reflection ![]() We walked through some of the shops to cool off and Andy found a new friend (he needed one after the "Mom - pregnant" episode) ![]() There were still some items left on the hunt and I knew they were in Camp Minnie Mickey so that's where we went next. After finding more pieces of the hunt we hit up the characters....Goofy, Donald, and Mickey. ![]() Next came a walk through the Tree of Life trails. ![]() There was one part of the hunt that I thought was on the tree so we went through to find it.....but we were wrong...it turned out it was around ITTBAB which we weren't going to do today so Andy said the Bunny said as long as I got 14 out of 15 then I could get my prize We headed into Asia after that and stopped to talk to the pretty birds.. ![]() Now for the last piece of the hunt. Andy had to hot/cold me for this one. It turned out it was over at Kali at the end of the ride where you can shoot the rafts with water. It was a backpack on the back of one of the seats so we stood there until we saw the right colored one But we did! After a successful hunt I got my prize ![]() It was an Easter Stitch jumbo pin....Stitch painting eggs with his duck buddies with bunny ears on Lunch time was here and despite being called Mom, I hit up a Yak Attack while Andy had Kingfisher beer. We ordered food from the Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe CS and boy was it good!!! ![]() Me with our drinks..... Andy had Kung Pao (George likes it spicy!) and I had sweet and sour pork and it was goooooooood! We sat down by the water but it was flipping HOT! ![]() After we finished we decided it was time to get back to the ASMo to cool off, rest up and get ready to spend Easter night with the Bakers!
