Stefanie and I used Memorial Day to get quite a bit of packing done. Most of her clothes are already in the suitcase, but I have to keep convincing her that she doesn't need to pack all her shorts yet as she still needs something to wear for the next 11 days. I think she is secretly hoping that if she packs all her shorts, we'll just have to go ahead and leave.

I have about half my clothes packed along with most of our toiletries as I have been stocking up over the past year in travel size items. I'm glad we started as we have discovered a few things that still need to be bought. Of our 3 small portable fans, two died over the winter, so I'll pick up another as Stefanie and I use these pretty much every day. I had mentioned to Luke that I still needed to get a small size laundry detergent and dryer sheets, and he surprised me today by telling me that he had found out that Purex made a washer/dryer sheet. Sounds ! So I'm going to check on these as they would be much easier to transport in our luggage. And finally we need to pick up some snack foods to keep in the room.

Tomorrow, Luke and I are taking a date night to see [I]Angels and Demons[I] while Stefanie spends time with Mamaw and Granddad. She usually spends Mondays with me and enjoys her time alone with them. Since she missed that yesterday, she actually thinks she's getting the fun night. Of course, she has reminded me a number of times that we will be going to see Up on Friday. In fact she has a Malco gift card that she got for her birthday already in her wallet to pay for her ticket. Too cute!

Luke and I made a trip to the tanning bed tonight so we don't look like Edward and Bella from the Twilight series. We also planned out what we need to do with the yard, trees, and plants before leaving. We had had Scott's Lawn Service, but decided that was an area in the budget that could be cut this year, so we've been doing it ourselves. Then he'll call our nephew who owns a lawn service to mow while we are gone.

Hope you like Angels and Demons, I really enjoyed it . . . sounds like the packing is going well, which is far more than I can say for my packing efforts! I have so much to do and so little time to do it in. Hopefully my day off on Thursday will be enough time!
