The next time you're at Walt Disney World, head over the the Artist's Palette at Saratoga Springs.
Order a grilled vegetable flatbread. (hold the mushrooms.)
Sit down and draw a picture at one of the easels on the table. Come on, don't be shy!
There. Don't you feel better?
But I digress.
We stayed in the Paddock section of Saratoga Springs.
*ARR! HELPFUL HINT DEAD AHEAD!*
Don't be fooled by the bus stops at Saratoga Springs!
We always got off the bus at the Carousel station, even though we stayed in the Paddock. It was a shorter walk to our room.
As far as our room, we stayed in a 1 bedroom villa thingy. It was awesome! Not only did we have a full-ish kitchen, we had tons of extra room to stash souvenirs, backpacks, and more.
Glad you got started. We will be using DME for the first time this fall - thanks for the info. We've never stayed at SSR but reserved a studio for my DDad and his wife when they vacationed with us a couple of years ago. They really seemed to like it there.
Hello, all.
After a very hectic month, i'm ready to get back into my trip report!
So, anyways...
after checking into our hotel, we hustled over to DTD to eat at T-Rex.
did I mention it was raining cats and dogs?
It was raining cats and dogs.
As for T-Rex, it was fine. I had some sort of pizza doughy pocket thing with avacado. It was good. Thematically, T-Rex was Rainforest Cafe with dinosaurs.
Which is what it's billed as, so I guess that makes sense.
MY RATING: 3/5. You can skip it unless you're a 7 year old boy.
After concluding our dinner @ T-Rex, we had planned on shopping for a while, then returning to our room to get some sleep.
Suddenly, the rain changed from a light drizzle to a bathtub-over-the-head torrential downpour.
My response:
"Run for DisneyQuest! RUN FOR DISNEYQUEST!!!!!!"
I had been trying to convince my family to go to DisneyQuest all day, but they weren't quite buying it.
At least, not until they had a bathtub dumped over their heads.
We used our Water Parks & More option on our tickets to get into DisneyQuest. It was a good buy for us, since we went there, to Blizzard Beach, and my dad want golfing.
Personally, I was very impressed with the elevator ride up to the entry area (hey, what can I say? A scarf will entertain me for hours. )
In the following posts, I will detail everything we did.
