| June 12, 2009 part 3 It was while sitting there enjoying the sodas and the kids watching cartoons that the text came in. It says From Disney Destinations, blah blah blah, your room ![]() is now ready. So off we went down stairs(we used the stairways as much as possible, especially if Josh or Ben carried the stroller(being a Challenger, this was part of my exercise program ). As we walked to our room a CM was coming out of it. It was really nice talking to her because she was on the CP and from Ball State University, Muncie Indiana. Twenty-five minutes east of my town. Small world isn’t it?We called Bell Services and they quickly, very quickly brought up the luggage. Ben and the kids changed into the swimmin’ trunks(something Gabby calls all swimwear) and went down to pool that was right outside our door. Me, I got to do something every person needs—me time! I went to Basin and picked up some Dr. Spot and a moisturizer bar for my mama, and I checked out the shops there. I forgot to check out the sundries on the first floor, but that’s okay. I went in one of the men’s shops looking for something for Ben but it was just not our taste so I left. Back up in the elevator to the 3rd floor and to our room. I booted up the laptop and began a rough draft of my trip report! We took pictures of the room! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Before I know it, the family is back in the room after having great fun in the pool. We changed and quickly set off to Captain Cooks at the Poly. I’ve been wanting to try that Aloha Pork Sandwich. Ben got a salad, Josh a burger, Michael the Grilled Cheese and Gabby the Turkey and Cheese sandwich. After supper, we rolled back to the GF. I loved that it was one stop from the Poly and of course the next stop after that would be the Magic Kingdom!! I feel so blessed that we were able to enjoy the Grand Floridian, even if it were just for one single night. We didn’t make park plans, we just wanted to enjoy the room as much as possible. And that is what we did.So what to do now? First, there was a knock on the door. It was a special delivery for Michael since we were celebrating his birthday during this night. ![]() ![]() Ben and I just had to go up and get some free beer and wine. I do remember that during this setting, they had that plus mini Caesar Salads and crab cakes. I managed to try 1 crab cake and of course I drank my wine. We went back to the room, barely gone 10 minutes and we come back to find Michael has thrown up and Gabby was being herself(a hellion). Josh was a complete doll and had cleaned everything up. It’s funny how sometimes he’s so mature………then other times he’s such a…..teenager. We’re pushing 6pm and we are getting so, so tired. But first, Josh and I need to run to the Contemporary. I needed to exchange something for a friend and we didn’t have the receipt. But it’s an even exchange so it shouldn’t be a problem, right? WRONG!! The CM was not so nice when she said “well how am I to know you actually bought them?” Well it was then that I saw red and I told her Whatever!!!! I really didn’t care for her brand of Disney magic. What happened to the CUSTOMER is ALWAYS RIGHT?? **Later on, I fixed the problem, I kept the gift, gave it to Michael and bought a new set of jammies in the size needed and sent them off. For the record, now they are printing a bar code on the receipt and even if it is just an even exchange, you need the receipt so they can scan it. If that CM would have explained that and didn’t say what she did, I would have been nice and said, oh no problem! Sorry, I was taught better customer service than that and you cannot say anything to convince me otherwise, so there is no need to pick this bit apart** Sorry. Calming down. Thinking pleasant Disney thoughts. Okay, rant over. ![]() Josh and I headed back to the Grand Floridian(man, I LOVE saying that!) because I was seeing red and I could not calm down enough to look in the other stores. We weren’t gone 25minutes and both Michael and Gabrielle were asleep and quite loudly at that! I knew there was no way I could sum up enough energy to head over to the MK to enjoy the Fireworks meet as my head hit the pillow at 7:30pm. Yes. 7:30pm people. I was weary tired, over tired, and tired to the bone. ![]() I tossed and turned and tossed and turned. I could not get comfy. I think we all finally drifted off at about 9pm. I heard the fireworks go off at 10pm and thought of my friends and then I went back to sleep. I woke up at 11pm because the kids next door were screeching. I woke up at midnight because the lady next door(same room) let out this very loud GUFFAW and I smiled and thought to myself, sounds like she is having a good time! Shut up and let me sleep! I woke up at 2am because Michael fell off the bed. I heard a kerthunk and then a shuffling of him getting back up in there.
