| I know that it's been a few days since I posted....lifes a bit crazy right now As I have been planning this trip I have been mindful of evening EMH. This may sound strange since I have a 4 year old and 2.5 year old so let me explain. I know that my kids are going to need naps each afternoon while we are at Disney, more as a means to decompress from all of the stimulation. My kids however, do not require a large amount of sleep. If they nap in the afternoon (even for half an hour) then they are up until at least 11pm each night. Most nights I hate that...however while we are at Disney it's great!!! We are going to start Day 2 in the parks at MK. Up for debate right now is what to do first....DD loves Tinkerbell, DS doesn't really have an opinion (he just does whatever mommy wants because he loves his mommy that much!) and DH wants to do SM and BTMR. I would love suggestions for how to tackle all of the popular areas best. We plan on being at MK for rope drop. Again, our plans for exactly what to do when in the park is pretty fluid. I have a list of our must dos, but for the most part, I think we are just going to work things one land at a time (not a big fan of running back and forth between areas). We plan to spend most of the day (until around 4ish) at MK and then head back for a small break. That evening, EPCOT has EMH and MK is open until 9. We have early ressies at EPCOT (still trying to decide between Marekesh and Les Chefs as I have a ressie at both right now). After that, we can stay at EPCOT, or go back to the MK for a bit and come back to EPCOT. I figure we will just play it by ear with the kiddos and they want to do.....after all this is their vacation/reward I do want to make sure that we catch fireworks at one of the places though. |

| It's wonderful that you are thinking these things through in relation to what your children can handle. We see so many folks that seem to push, push, push until the kids are exhausted and everyone is so worn that they aren't enjoying themselves.

| She cracks me up with this daily! If she had her way, we would already be packed, to ensure that nothing gets forgotten. I will find her at times in her closet pondering what to where, all the while considering what the Princess and Tinkerbell would like....not forgetting of course what she thinks their favorite color is |

| This is a great start, can't wait to read more.....did you say you were going in October? I don't know how you need to break the news to your Dh but SM is supposed to be closed until late November. I think...... We are going early September and it is my Dh favorite ride in Tomorrowland........he is soooo disappointed.....but he said that gives us a reason to go back....lol We start clockwise going to the lands of MK....we noticed a lot of people started with Tomorrowland so we went the other direction last year. We also are not fans of back and forth, we also tackle one land at a time. Works for us......

| My oh my how time is getting away from me this summer! I can't believe that we are just 2 short months away from our big trip! Looks like it's time for Day 4 of the trip/Day 3 in the parks The must do's are obviously TSM, Indiana Jones, Star Tours, Lights Motors Action (for DS who loves cars and destruction), Rock n Roller Coaster, and ToT. There are other attractions there that we want to check out as well, but they aren't absolute must do's on our trip. I know that lots of people rave about Playhouse Disney live, but I took the kids to a show one time and they weren't overly excited. They seem to have moved past those characters. We will still try to check it out, but I won't beat myself up over missing it. We have lunchtime ADR's at Sci Fi and I am really excited about it. I love old drive in movie theaters and can't wait to share the experience with my kids! The only thing left, is that we want to catch the big parade in the afternoon Stay tuned (I promise much sooner than this took) for Day 4 in the parks.....I'll give you a hint ROAR!!! |
