BettyBeBop,
Thank you for answering my questions. DH and I are planning on arriving at the parks 30 or 40 minutes early so if all goes as planned we will see the opening ceremonies.
As for the pass holder pouch, as it turns out we each have several very similar pouches. Dh and I love to cruise, so we have used them on past vacations.
Well, I plan on reading a few more pages while I'm relaxing tonight, so stay tuned, I may have a few more questions in the next couple of days.
We ended the tour back at Epcot at about 4:00 p.m.. Roger and I asked to take a couple of pictures with the tour guides and bus driver.
Dena, Myself, Jeff & Gustavo
Roger with the Gang!
The tour guides actually work for The Disney Institute which we were unaware still existed after the switch over from Disney Institute to Saratoga Springs. Roger had taken some art classes at the Institute on previous WDW trips but we hadn’t realized that this “educational” department is still alive and well at Disney.
Since we were already at Epcot, we decided to go into the park for a while and then call it a day early. Our first stop was to get the locations of our Leave a Legacy Tiles and then go find them. Cindy, who works in the camera store by Spaceship Earth, was very patient with us in looking up all 4 locations of our tiles. We had gotten the first one in 2000 when they first started Leave a Legacy and the only option was your picture.
Our 2000 Leave a Legacy Picture
We got the second one in 2002 when they had the option of text instead of your picture. Our 2002 Leave a Legacy Tile – the date is our 9th wedding anniversary and 15th anniversary of when we started dating

We got the third/fourth ones in 2004/05. Of course there is a story here! While at WDW in 04, we got caught in Hurricane Francis. After being stuck at the resort for 2 days and in our room for 30 hours, we were finally released on our last morning there. It was still really stormy! So in the rain we headed to Epcot to pick out a tile for our “free” choice that came with our package. We noticed a few weeks later that the paperwork never came in the mail about it. When we went back the next year, we inquired about it. Unable to find it in the computer, they offered to make up a new one for us. Not remembering what we had chosen last year, I just put together a new one. Within a few weeks of getting home, we got the paperwork in the mail for both tiles. Somehow by inquiring about it, the old one was found and made up also. So now we have two from that same year.

The other 2004 Leave a Legacy Tile – surviving our first hurricane!
to be continued....

Great update! I can never remember where my Leave a Legacy tile is and always have to ask the location. I love the hurricane one, that is definitely something to remember.

Well, I am all caught up.
Your day at AK sounds fun! I love starting my day at an early morning breakfast with characters! I also love going through the turnstiles before anyone else can! Sorry about your afternoon at BB being cut short by the lightning storm! Those Florida storms can produce lots of rain, can't they?? I have waded through ankle deap water in Epcot before!
The tour sounds wonderful! I have done the Keys to the Kingdom Tour and really enjoyed it! I now know that I have to plan doing the Backstage Tour in the very near future! The info and the pictures are great!
I love all of your Leave a Legacy Tiles! How cool that you got both of your 2004 tiles done!
Great updates Tricia!
I love your tiles!! They are so neat! They don't do those anymore, do they? And the pictures with your guides and bus driver are so great!! Such a nice way to say "thank you"!! Most people probably just go on their merry way. So thoughtful!
