Sept 2nd- Sept 8th report

Crowds were manageable, we really were surprised at how we really did not spend a lot of time on line. I did have to get a guest assistance pass for my son for his ADHD. I found out about it online for Peter Pan when he was really having a hard time in the heat, and his behavior was a little crazy, so one of the cast members told us that we may be able to get the pass. We only used it on rides that had an hour or more of a wait, but it helped keep him happy.

Pop Century was nice, but next time I have to get a closer room. They put us in the 80's building, which was fine for us, but not so great for my dad. He never would complain, but it was too far from the food and especially the drinks. The food was good, and I liked the fact that we could check out at the resort with southwest. The busing system is great, but there were so many times that it seemed that POP Century buses would be the longest wait at the parks to get back. We were also a little surprised that they stuffed up the buses so much, with children standing in the ailes like sardines.

The restaurants:

Biergarten - LOVED LOVED LOVED! Great show and excellent food!

Boma- Good, but I expected it to be so much better.

Chef Mickey - The only thing that impressed me were the characters. I don't think we would go back again unless my son insisted on it.

Crystal Palace - our only breakfast. It was good, but the building was gorgeous. Maybe would try for a different meal next time. Breakfast did not work well for us.

Coral Reef- Beautiful atmosphere, food was good (not great), Very few choices for children on their menu. Service was absolutely HORRIBLE. The food came very quickly, but the waitress kept disappearing, and we waited 30 minutes for the check, and another 15 for her to come and pick it up to charge it to my room. Very upsetting.

OHANA - Our absolute favorite. That is one that we will do on every trip!

The parks were all great. Did not go to Mickeys not so scary Halloween party because it was too expensive. It's funny, many people that we met who did go all said it really was not worth the money. A lot of them complained that the cast members were very "cheap" with the candy.

Shows and Fireworks that we loved:

Fantasmic - the best

Spectromagic

Wishes

Indiana Jones

Lights, Motor, Action - Christian loved, we were not that impressed.

American Idol - Fun, but think the finale show would be the best.

Illuminations - was nice, but not as nice as wishes

Things we would never do again!

Stitches great escape - Hated it. The fact that you get locked into the chair and things happen in the dark is very intimidating to a small child. The cast members told us that it was loud, but not scary. My son was screaming and crying because he was locked into the chair. They should tell people that when coming into the attraction.

We also did the Pirates League as a walk in one day because it was not crowded. Christian loved it. The only bad thing, is the makeup becomes very annoying in the heat, so it does not last long. We did the cheapest package, and he really enjoyed it.

So there are the major things we loved and hated! Here is a pic of my little pirate.
