Thanks you, thank you. I was surprised at Kelley's enthusiasm for participating, as she usually would rather sit back and observe first before jumping in. Guess it's that 'Disney Magic' at work! Hope your kids decide to participate, too.

While I have never been anything but impressed with the place, I found that AKL took a while to grow on me. I had bonded with the WL [and it is still one of my top 3 resorts] and it really took staying there to get the feel of the place and grow to love it.

I have a feeling you're right on the money with this. To be honest, I can't really tell how well I like them without actually staying at AKL or WL. I need to do this.

When it comes to Boma I have always had mixed feelings. I will mention in advance that I have never had breakfast there. I have enjoyed my visits there and the wealth of selections, but I am not as gung-ho about it as many others. Partly this is because I find it a bit noisy for my taste. We shut the place down the last time I was there and I liked being there with fewer people. I still recommend it and believe everyone should try it out for themselves. Sorry your first visit was less than stellar.

I love, love, LOVE Jiko and it is on my short--but continually expanding--list of places that I want to visit EVERY time I go to WDW. It is a calmer venue, the food is wonderful, the staff knowledgeable and skilled, and just a lovely place to sit and eat. It's definitely more expensive than Boma and as I am usually paying only for myself, I don't have to decide if it is worth it for kids, even though there are many that eat there.

I think I'm getting to that place in life where I appreciate a quiet atmosphere for dining every once in awhile! Probably because most days at our house, it is craazzzy and chaotic.

Because I am such a fan of the WL, I always encourage people to stay there. It's one of the places where I walk in the door and my stress level just plain crashes! I just feel, "I am home." I have eaten at WCC several times, and the one thing I would counsel you to do is to not be really tired when you eat there. You will be much more receptive to the goings-on, which can be lots of fun. Not surprisingly, when I want a wonderful meal at WL, I tend to favor Artist Point for many of the reasons that I like Jiko.

Okay, I am done hijacking your TR! Thanks again for the time and effort and the wonderful photos. I think you made some wonderful memories and I hope one day we'll cross paths at WDW.

I'm so sorry to see this TR end. This trip was a long time coming but even with a few medical issues it looks that you had another magical trip. I am so glad Kevin was able to enjoy some more rides due to the spray, I was also glad to see you had some special time with the girls and even more excited to see another countdown with your signature.

O'Hana is the perfect way to end the trip and I am glad you all had such great interaction. Kelley does remind me of Lilo (and they share their favorite color )
I am glad you got a few more moments of the magic before heading back home.

Thanks for sharing another wonderful trip, I enjoyed every minute of it.

That might not be the park we're eating dinner at, though, which is why I always pay for the hopper. This also comes in handy if you start out in one park & the crowds are elbow to elbow-you can back out, hop on a bus, and start again in another park. <sorry that's so long-winded!>

Now you'll have to explain your countdown.....

I'm the same way about staying at an 'ultra-deluxe' like the Poly. Right now, I can't justify the expense when I know most of my time will be spent away from the resort. I want to get to the point where I CAN justify the expense!

And as for the countdown...I'm trying to work a way the girls and I can go to MNSSHP on our own next year...at the same time our entire family is down at US/IOA. I'll get it all figured out eventually!
