After we were done with Pirates (and a quick bathroom stop), we asked a Cast Member when the next Pirate Tutorial was. I can’t remember exactly how he answered, but I think it was supposed to be at 2:15.

Then we went to the Enchanted Tiki Room. It was my first time, and I liked it (I couldn’t help but notice one of the birds’ names was Fifi, which is what I named a favorite stuffed animal of mine.)

When that was over, I think Dad got a coke (again…) and we all sat down to wait for the Pirate Tutorial to start. Every two minutes or so, I’d ask Dad what time it was. Finally, when the Pirate Tutorial started, we moved a little way from where we were sitting. Sadly, Captain Jack’s entrance, for me, was spoiled a little, because over the crowd, I saw him coming. I was VERY upset that I wasn’t chosen to participate!!! One of the children who got picked was a girl, about twelve or thirteen, who did NOT, in any way shape or form, look enthusiastic.

I forget what we did after that, although I do think we went over to Frontierland for some reason…

Then we went to Fantasyland. I think Nimros and Dad wanted to get Fast Passes for Mickey’s Philharmagic, but alas, the machines weren’t working (or something along the lines of that.)

So we headed over to Cinderella’s Golden Carousel. While waiting in line, I looked at the tails of all the horses, searching for Cinderella’s horse. I finally spotted the horse with the golden bow around its tail and I tried, VERY HARD, to keep my eyes on it without getting dizzy or anything. When the carousel stopped (luckily we were the first in line), I rushed over to the spot where I calculated it had stopped, only to find a little girl and her father wandering over toward the same horse (later, when we looked at our pictures, I discovered he looked like a secret agent – he was wearing the typical shiny grey-black glasses). I was taking NO CHANCES of not getting to ride Cinderella’s horse, and I started walking faster to reach it in time. I ended up getting to ride it! YAY!

Next we left Fantasyland and went to Liberty Square to see the Hall of Presidents. I enjoyed looking at all the first ladies’ dresses, but they looked so incredibly tight! I’m SO glad I didn’t live in THAT time period and might’ve had to wear a dress like THAT! I have to admit; I was not looking forward to going to the Hall of Presidents, and, like some kids, thought it would be stupid. I guess it wasn’t, because it made me cry a little, and I really liked what Andrew Jackson said about spelling!

When we were coming out, Dad said he heard a little boy say, “I didn’t like it. It was just a bunch of stupid robots!” Little Kids! Do they not appreciate the work it took to make the animatronics at ALL?!?!? I know for a fact my Dad would’ve thought it was the coolest thing EVER when he was young! I think it’s pretty amazing actually, but Nimros and I both agreed that we would NOT want to watch that at night alone, along with It’s a Small World.

That ride is Nimros’s only Disney-related weakness – and mine. I do have to admit that I am terrified of dolls, but most of all PUPPETS!

Soon it was time for dinner, and we had reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern.

Up Next: Spectromagic

I agree with you about the time it takes to make the animatronics. Some people don't appreciate genius!

I couldn't agree more - what a shame people don't appreciate the wonder of animatronics.

Congrats on getting to ride on Cindrella's horse! What a shame to not appreciate all the hard work and what not of animatronics.

SOme kids just don't know how to appreciate the wonders around them, like the genius, talent, and hard work that goes into audio-animatronics. Obviously, you are not one of those kids. Yay! I am so glad you got to ride Cinderella's horse. My DD and I tried to ride it in 2007, but someone else got there first. After the ride, we told her the significance of the Golden bow and then we all took pics with the horse. LOL After finding out why that horse was so special, the lady that rode it felt that she had a little more magic sprinkled on her trip. (Or at least that is what she said.)

We went to Liberty Tree Tavern, and Nimros checked us in, and we were seated in the right corner by the fireplace. I enjoyed the food there, but sadly, I wasn’t going to risk eating ANY macaroni and cheese. See, certain types of cheeses bother me, and since this meal was sponsored by Stoeffer’s, I HAD to skip macaroni. Years ago, I ate some Stoeffer’s macaroni and cheese, and I got sick. Ever since then I haven’t eaten many frozen meals.
I got a birthday cupcake after dinner, since I was wearing my birthday button. Sometimes I hate wearing the birthday button because when the Cast Members ask you if it’s really your birthday, you always feel guilty having to say no.

After dinner (and after shopping a little on Main Street), Kelley, Nimros and I went to ride BTMRR with the FPs we had gotten earlier, but weren’t able to use because they needed to fix the ride. Dad decided to skip it, and he would find a place to sit and wait.

BTMRR was AWESOME again (will it ever NOT be awesome?). After BTMRR, we headed to the spot that Dad had found to sit. It was a great spot, and Nimros said it was exactly where she had planned on sitting for Spectromagic. Dad, Kelley and I decided to go and get something to drink at a nearby snack stand. I got a sprite, Kelley got a coke and Dad also got a sprite. The Cast Member who got our drinks out of the cooler for us said goodbye to us when we left, and she sounded so sad (she was originally from China).

A little bit later, I walked over to the Frontier Trading Post and I pin traded with a very nice Cast Member. I even got a special Chip and Dale hidden Mickey pin!

Spectromagic was an awesome parade! I really liked when Snow White came by and she twirled her skirt and the lights on it changed their color.

When the parade was over, we went to find the flagpole Nimros had told us about to watch Wishes. As soon as we found it, the fireworks began. It was a very pretty firework show. I almost cried again, but I stopped myself just in time because I KNEW Dad would start asking “WHAT IS SHE CRYING ABOUT?!?!?!?” and I didn’t want to hear that.

Soon we were getting on the bus to Port Orleans Riverside.

UP NEXT: The stampede
