| Corinne Explains It All TR - from a 9-yr-old's point-of-view!! ***Okay everyone - here's the first installment of Cory's (almost 10) Trip Report.*** The sequel to the book that was never published or finished Are some of you wondering what the book that was never published or finished was? OK, give it a guess… Alright, so I suppose you already know this, but for those of you who have NOT heard, it was my FIRST Disney trip report. I know it’s not a book, but reports aren’t usually published are they? Now that I’ve got that out of the way, I can start talking about BEFORE Disney. The Illnesses A little bit before we were supposed to leave for Disney, Nimros and I went shopping for groceries together, and near the end, I had what was just the beginning of a sore throat. Surprisingly, I was craving chocolate cake and Nimros bought it for me (I suppose you don’t need to really know about this, do you? So let’s skip through this part, oh I’d say until the next day.) The next day, I felt a WHOLE TON worse. I felt very, very, very, very, very, very sick. I could barely eat that day, and I spent the whole day watching Food Network and Animal Planet (and listening to my Dad play his saxophone which I think he should give up because it drives me crazy! You’ll be relaxing and all of a sudden DWABAZABAGAZ! Ugh… Anyway, the very next day, I felt better. But it was still tough to sleep because you all know how hard it is to breathe through your mouth but go to sleep at the same time. I think Kelley caught a bit of the sniffles after that, but when that was over, all was well. Up next: Port Orleans again

| The trip down was OK. Nimros, Kelley and I had decided to take our showers at nighttime, so we could hop in the car and go that next morning with hardly any delay except for packing toothbrushes and stuff like that. Well, I got up and got ready to leave, and then it was just me waiting, and waiting, and waiting some more for everyone to be ready too. I expected Dad would be ready first, and he was – or so I figured. I saw him on computer doing something (I think he was looking at a map.) So then we packed everything up in the van (including me and Kelley), and I thought Dad and Nimros would get in too. But they didn’t. Turns out Dad had to make a cup of coffee, had last-minute packing to do, and decided to check his email. Then we were on the road. By 11:00am, we were all starving. We stopped at Subway and got sandwiches (we did have our own chips and drinks, but me and Kelley got cokes anyway.) By about 6:00pm, we were there – driving through the gates to Walt Disney World. Immediately after we drove through, I started crying with joy. I pressed White Kitty (my favorite stuffed animal) against my face and hugged her, and I held her up to look out the window. I gave her three guesses to find out where we were (she didn’t use any of them.) When we parked our car at Port Orleans Riverside, I thought I was going to cry again, but with White Kitty’s comfort, I didn’t. When we checked in, I found out we weren’t going to be staying at the place we were before, and that we were staying at the mansions. I was a bit disappointed, but in the end I decided that I should probably give the mansions a try. We went to our room (8101) and found a Mickey towel on the bed. I almost sat on it I was so anxious to lay down after sitting up nearly all day. We left a couple things in our room, loaded some more suitcases in, and finally we headed down to the food court (you continue walking up the path that leads to our room, take a left at the end, take a right, then another right, then a left, then a left, then a right, then a left, continue walking down that path and you should see it – I don’t know if that’s the first way we took or not.) Dad, Nimros and I all had some sort of platter with some different kinds of food on it like beef, turkey, mashed potatoes, corn and more, but Kelley headed right over and ordered her a pizza – a traditional ‘Kelley’ food. For dessert, Dad ordered some sort of apple thing, Kelley ordered chocolate cake and Nimros ordered cheesecake with strawberries on top (the girl at the dessert place who waited on us was from China, and when she asked us whether or not we wanted strawberries she got this little smile on her face – so cute). Alas, I do not get dessert because I’m still on the kids’ menu, even though I’m going to be ten on October 3rd. Ah, well… Nimros did share a little of her cheesecake with me, and I got a couple bites off Kelley’s chocolate cake (she only ate, like, FOUR BITES! Aw man! That thing was delicious! I would’ve eaten it all!) After dinner, we headed back to the store so Nimros could look at shirts again (I forgot to mention the first time – which was right after we got there). Me and Kelley already had our lanyards (both Tinkerbell, but different designs), so we didn’t stop to look at them again. Nimros didn’t like any of the shirts there, so we left and headed back for our room and got ready for bed. I can’t say we slept well that night; it was a mixture of being excited, and being kept up by Dad’s snoring! ![]() Up Next: A visit to Pixie Hollow
