| Why Soitenly! Mini TR Beach Club 09 Ok so i'm not really that good at doing a big trip report like so many of you are! But here is a run down of all the stuff that is fit to print: Arrival day Sept 28th: First moment at the Orlando airport? A grandmotherly type woman cutting right in front of us to get onto the monorail first...Hmmm, methinks she forgot her manners...No biggie though, I made it a point to let Bradley know that we didn't have to cut in front of anyone to get a spot. We got lost this time trying to find DME. I'm not sure what happened. Maybe it was because we didn't have anyone to follow this time...But it took like 15-20 minutes to get there after asking directions and a potty break. Pretty huge lines for DME, i'd say we waited 20 minutes for a bus. There were alot of people complaining about the wait, and the people directly behind me even suggesting DME make a line for adults only...This was strange to me though, cause they were acting worse then the kids around them! Got to Beach Club at 1:30. The nice gentleman outside, I think his name is Brett, Asked if we were the Collins family and if DS was Bradley. Wow, they have him studying up on arriving guests! He whisked us to check in, and though the room wasn't ready, we got our room keys and left a cell phone number for them to call us later on. We were pretty hungry so we went to Beaches and Cream for a bite to eat. Ok, how do I put this mildly? BEACHES AND CREAM HAS THE BEST BURGERS IN ALL OF DISNEYWORLD! Seriously, they are so much better then the fast food, fatty, greasy, and plain old yucky burgers some other places cough up as digestable foodstuff. The waitress was nice as well, she switched Bradley's ice cream sundae with a cookie, as he doesn't like ice cream. Approx 3pm, we got the call and our DVC BCV room 143 was all ready for us to move into. As we opened the door our luggage was waiting for us. Which really was perfect. Ok so off we went around 4pm for a quick introduction to Epcot on our first half day in the world. Figment was up first, Club Cool, SpaceShip Earth, Leave a Legacy tile,SpaceShip Earth, Club Cool, Nemo, then Figment again. (You'll notice we do alot of the rides more then once, But that is how we love it!) I can't tell you how excited I was that we found our Leave a Legacy tile. We have forgotten to look in the past, and gave a half hearted attempt last year. But this time I would not accept failure!! It made the whole trip for me, knowing where our little tile lives ![]() First day impressions: Love Beach Club. Might just stay here from now on it is so awesome! And let me tell you, I can't believe how close it is to Epcot. It's a 3 minute walk. You do the most walking just to get out of the hotel. After that you just go up the hill, or down along the water and you are there in 2-3 minutes. They might as well have Beach Club inside Epcot itself!! I was also surprised at how close all these hotels are to each other: Yacht and Beach club, Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin. They really are clustered close together... PS: I'm not going to add pics to this, but they are already in my profile if you want to check them out

| Day 2 Sept 29th Time to wake up and head to Cape May Cafe for a character breakfast! They gave us a pager and we sat on one of the benches off to the side. I thought it was strange that we had to wait because there was a whole lot of empty tables from what we could see. Though the wait was only about 10 minutes. The food was pretty standard, and i'm still trying to find some nice crispy bacon in WDW...Not the rubbery kind. Oh well! No biggie Off to Magic Kingdom...What do you want to do first Bradley? Buzz Lightyear!! He seemed to like Buzz more then Pirates this year. So we did the Buzz ride, and then TTA. About TTA: They changed the narration of this ride. I still remember the old kind of booming voice "Now entering Mickey's Star Traders" etc. Now the voice is cartoonish, just sounds weird and fake. Also, about the inside of Space Mountain. It was really weird riding through this. It was like going through a construction site. You could smell paint and hear people working...It was all lit up so you could see the space ship at the begining. DW Renee noticed a sign that said, Opening Winter 2009. So, does this mean it will be later then the November date? Off TTA we had our meet with Buzz LightYear! One of the cast members there took a few pictures for us, and they also did the photopass pictures. (Though we didn't do photopass for anything else this trip) Bradley had a great time meeting Buzz! Then because there was little to no wait, we did Buzz again and the Indy speedway. The speedway was really cool for me. I know it's just a go kart ride, but this was the first time I took Bradley on it. He got his drivers license from a cast member which was cool Next stop, Goofy's Barnstormer. Along the way we were stopped by a cast member and she kind of secretly told us how they are getting rid of Mickey's ToonTown Fair. I told her we knew of this already, and are still waiting for a Buzz character meal Then we hit up, Pooh, Peter Pan, Small World, Haunted Mansion, the shooting arcade ( another one I love!) And then we headed back to the room for a rest. Bradley and Renee hit the pool and had alot of fun. In the early evening we headed to Epcot. Renee grabbed the Fisherman's pie and I snagged the Cheddar cheese soup from the F&WF. We both really liked the food. There is something I can't describe about the soup, it just seems very familiar. Bradley had a couple of maple sugar candies to keep him busy while we ate. Then, Figment, Club Cool again. On to China for our fav Orange chicken and a noodle bowl for Bradley. Stopped in Mexico to ride El Rio Del Tiempo (I know, but I refuse to call it the new name) That was it for the night, back to the hotel and grabbed 2 milkshakes from Beaches and Cream, choco and vanilla with jimmies!

| I love your mini TR. I agree with the best burgers being at B & C! I think we are going to go back to the BC again. Last time was about 5 years ago.

| Day 3 Sept 30th Animal Kingdom morning. Bradley was pretty tired from walking around the world the past 2 days so we decided to rent a stroller. First up was a visit to Dinoland USA. I know some people have mixed feelings about this area. And it does look like something you might have seen on a roadside somewhere, maybe in the 1950s. But the atmosphere is really fun and just makes us smile. Bradley spent about 20 minutes or so playing in the Boneyard. I really thought he would be in there for an hour or more but he seemed satisfied with his play time! While waiting for Renee and Bradley, I got a kick out of watching the CM at the Boneyard pick on folks walking by. He did this with an air gun type of toy. He would pull back and shoot a burst of air at people and catch them off guard. I have to admit it was pretty funny. Next we went to It's Tough to be a Bug. Which was pretty cool, as we hadn't done this with Bradley yet. A couple of times he took his glasses off because of how close everything looks but he had alot of fun with it. Then we grabbed fast passes for the Kilimanjaro Safaris and grabbed a bite to eat at Tamu Tamu while waiting for our safaris time. Ok, this is the start of our bad burger meetings. The CMs were very nice there, and the seating area is nice as well. But the burgers are just yucky. I think we did ourselves a disservice by eating at Beaches and Cream first, because all other burgers failed to live up those ones. And it is kind of tough to eat other things when Bradley is only into burgers, pizza, mac and cheese, grilled cheese, and hot dogs right now! Well, after that we went on the Safaris ride. I forgot how bumpy and fast the drivers drive. Maybe it was because we were in the last row? But a couple of times I was literally lifted off the seat as she hit the gas...It was alot of fun though, even though I thought we would tip over a couple of times! ![]() After that we went back to Dinoland and did the Triceratop Spin one last time and said goodbye to Animal Kingdom for this visit. Back to the room for a break and off to DHS for an evening. I want to like DHS. Heck, I want to love it! But it just really stinks for us. We went to TSMM first, the line was about 45 minutes, maybe longer. I do like the waiting area though, it's pretty neat! And I came so close to being the high scorer for the day! I think I had 144,900 when all was said and done. So, definitely a new personal best! Renee had about 50,000 and Bradley approx 34000. We then tried looking for a counter service spot Rosie's: Really slow service. Got alot of peoples orders wrong and they had to come back and fix them while I watched and waited in line. Also, another yucky fatty non tasty burger incident. Turkey legs: They look so cool! But are not that cool to eat...It was fatty and just weird to eat. I got a couple of good chunks of meat off but after that I was done with it. At least I can say I tried it. That was it for the parks today. We loved our time in Animal Kingdom and won't skip it ever again. DHS? Right now I will skip it, but maybe I will come around to it before we leave on our next vacation. We headed back to the room and this was also the start of my laundry issues! Hmmm, I do like that they give you a laundry room in the DVC areas. But with only two washers and two dryers it just isn't enough. Each time I went into the room there were people there jockeying for a position and an empty machine. And sometimes people would leave their things in there much longer then needed causing people like me to sit in a chair and wait for them to come back. Not only that but the machines are so high tech, it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to use it! I don't really want to complain about this though, just to give you an idea about the laundry room in BCV in case you ever go there and need to use it. Next update, DTD and MNSSHP!
