We are flying Allegiant Air, a great low cost airline. They are no frills, but we love it! We can fly from our house to Orlando in an hour and a half. I love not having to change planes! They do fly into the Sanford airport which is nice and small, but about an hour from WDW. But my parents pick us up so there is usually no problem, except that we still usually get a little lost somehow! This year, we are going to use a car service to take us back to the airport (I need to get on booking that!) because we leave at 10:30am and my sister and Steve don't leave until the evening. We don't want my parents to take time away from their visit, so we will just get a driver to take us. I was able to get a flight down for 29.99 and the flight back is 59.99, it is on President's Day so I figured it wasn't going down at all.
Monday, Feb 8th - Once we get to the Beach Club and settle in, I want to eat an early dinner at Beaches & Cream and then head over to DHS. We will be on the QSDP for the first 4 days, but while we are the the BC I just have to eat at B&C, which will be a first for us all. If we are hungry we may eat a counter service meal later on.
But another goal I have for while we are at the BC is to visit all the lounges; Martha's Vineyard at the BC, Crew's Cup at the YC, Bellevue Room at Boardwalk, and the Ale & Compass (I'm not sure if this is at the BC or YC, does someone know?) Thanks to Sue Kulick for inspiring me with her article on "Lounge-ing Around the World". DH is a single malt whisky aficionado and supposedly the Bellvue Room has a good selection. We will see!
Tuesday, Feb 9th - Today will be an EPCOT day, there is so much we haven't explored here. I would like to check out Innoventions and it has been a long time since we have been on Test Track or Ellen's Energy Adventure (This is such a time sucker! But DS is a huge Dino fan and just loves Ellen!). And maybe I can get DS and DH to ride the non-spinning side of Mission to Mars. And of course we will do Soarin and the Living Seas. We will eat counter service in World Showcase for lunch and if it is a nice day swim or play mini golf if we feel like it and then counter service in EPCOT for dinner and another lounge that evening. Oh, and I still have never seen the movie in France, it has been on my to do list for the last two years. Maybe this is the year!
More plans to come . . .

Wednesday, Feb. 10th - Today will be another EPCOT, mini golf, swimming day with maybe a little DTD thrown in, so we can go to Wolfgang Pucks or Earl of Sandwich with our QSDP. We will also try to go to Cast Connections, the CM discount store to shop. And of course, another lounge tonight.
Thursday, Feb 11th- Today we will be checking out of the Beach Club and moving to POP. What a difference it will be. I’m very sad about leaving the BC, but the price is ridiculous! And I am excited about exploring all the fun icons at POP. My DSis, Amanda, and her DBF, Steve will arrive in Orlando at 9am and take DME to POP. So we will meet them there. If they are rearing to go we will head out to DHS, but if they want to hang around the resort, we can have lunch and rest before heading to DHS. We will still be on the QSDP, so I’m thinking we will have enough to share with them for the day. Tonight is the only night for Fantasmic, so if we head to DHS late, we may stay for that. Amanda and I didn’t get to ride RnRC last year, so we have to make that a priority this time.
Friday, Feb 12th – Now, Steve is also a teacher; I think I told you that. He teaches 1st grade. And he is getting his Master’s Degree in something or another, I’m not sure what. But he talks about his classes in meteorology, archeology and the like. So I’m thinking he will really dig Animal Kingdom and EPCOT the most. So today we will head out to AK. I’d like to focus on the trails and the safari. And maybe even Conservation Station, or whatever the name is now. Amanda is not sure if he is into thrill rides, so we will have to determine that. We have a lunch reservation at Tusker House. Steve is a big and adventurous eater, so I’ve made some reservations with him in mind. We and my parents tried Boma a few years ago and loved it, so I’m sure we will like Tusker House. Tonight is the opening ceremony for the Olympics, so I’d like to watch some of that. I was wondering if they will have merchandise in Canada at EPCOT or a special celebration?
Saturday, Feb 13th – Today is the MK! (I’m not sure I can hold out this long before going to the MK, we will see!) I definitely want to see Obama at the HoP, and I’ve never seen the Country Bear Jamboree (how crazy is that?), and we will do all the classic rides PoTC, HM, BTMRR, Space Mtn., etc. We will see how much we can get done. We have a reservation at Ohana’s for 6:45. I’m hoping we can watch Wishes and maybe the EWP from there. The MK is open till 11pm, so depending on how we feel I might convince some of them to go back there with me!
Sunday, Feb 14th – Happy Valentine’s Day! This is the second VD we have spent at WDW, that don’t really do much, but it is still fun! Today we will go to EPCOT and eat at the Beirgarten for dinner. We will let Steve and Amanda pick what they want to do, since we have been there earlier in the week.
Monday, Feb 15th – Our plane leaves at 10:30am, so I’ve arranged for Quicksilver to pick us up at POP and take us to the airport in Sanford. We will have to leave the hotel at 8am. Than we should be home by 12:00 noon.
Up Next More Rambligs . . .
