We're going to be at Port Orleans Riverside, probably in the Alligator Bayou area because there are 5 of us. This will be our first time at this resort, and I'm really looking forward to it! It looks really nice.
Today we have breakfast at CRT and dinner at the Hoop Dee Doo. We did both of these this past November, and CRT was DD5's 1st choice for a return meal and HDD is DS16's 1st choice for a return meal, so I knew that these would be awesome choices. We can either play in MK for most of the day, or after breakfast, we can hop over to any of the other parks. It's gonna be another play it by ear and see how we feel day.
On another note, I asked DS today where he wanted to go camping.....since we'll be gone a week, we could go to one of the neighboring states and camp there. He said he'd like to camp near a waterfall........I wonder if Splash Mountain counts......???
So, I've got this crazy idea. How I'm going to pull it off when I can't tell the kids what I'm doing, I have no idea. DD5's going to go spend a week with Grandma, so I'll be doing a lot then. I want to create treasure hunts for the kids that will lead to Disney. I'm thinking about getting a bunch of little prizes, maybe from the dollar tree, that will be able to be easily hidden both on our persons and wherever we are with a bunch of clues on business card size paper as to where to look for their prizes.....which one of us would sneakily hide while they weren't looking. Kind of a scavenger hunt. It would last the weekend we are in family reunion and it would end in the ultimate prize----Disney! We'd slip the cards into the welcome center racks when we stop, or onto their seats when we get back into the car.....something like that. My question is, what should I use, and what kind of clues/questions should I use? I don't want to do anything too Disney related as they think we're not going, and the first part of the trip would be during Family Reunion, and I don't want to give anything away too early. I can use some little Disney type prizes, but not Disney clues, or vice-versa with Disney clues but prizes not related to Disney until the last day. Does anyone have any ideas?
