We will be traveling with close friends of ours, and their two sons ages 5 and 3.
After countless trips to disney during our childhood, hubby and I celebrated our 1 year weddin anniversary at WDW in 2004, we returned in 2008 with my family, last year we booked a Disney Cruise but had to cancel when DDH was laid off. Needless to say this trip is a dream come true and unlike any disney trip we have ever had.
We will be staying in connecting rooms at the AKL from Aug 17-23. We are on the regular dining plan and will be spending 5 days in the park.
The family we are traveling with are in the military and have been able to graciously share with us, there military discount at disney. without them this trip would not have been possible. We have only known eachother for a year, but we feel like life long friends. . We met when our kids became instant friends in pre-school. This trip is all about our kids, and there being able to experience WDW together. It is a very true reality that our friends will be leaving the area in the next year, as their military assignment changes. We are so glad to have this time together, and for our children to form life long memories with one another.
I hope that you and your family have a magical time at the world

Great start, love the pictures, your girls are adorable and I love the pictures with their buddies, how great that they are so close in age. They are going to have a wonderful time.
Thanks Everyone.
We are just 19 days away from our Dream vacation and its hard to believe that we booked it over 190 days ago....
Being that each of our families were at WDW a little over a year ago...we are gonna try to take it easy...as much as the kids will allow us. What I want the most is for the kids to have a good time, and me not to melt in the August heat.
so here are our plans including ADR's...let me know what u think
Tuesday August 17th.
Wake up and out of the house by 4:00 am....(I am planning on leaving the girls in their pj's for this part of the trip and maybe the plane ride also )
Take a hour drive to Atlantic City which will get us there by 5:00 am for our 6:15 spirit airlines flight. ( i booked these tickets months ago an got a great deal just 49$ each way!!! this was before they changed their carryon policy so we are exempt from that) We are not checking any luggage so I hope this will be enough time. What do you think? I could leave at 3:30.....
Arrive at MCO at 8:28 am.... at this point my kids should be pretty hungry...anyone have a suggested place inside the airport for us to have breakfast? or should i just wait till we arrive at AKL. We are taking DME to AKL..estimating that if we eat breakfast before we check in at DME...maybe we will arrive at AKL by 10:30..is this a realistic time frame??
Were gonna check in early and hope that are room is ready. I will have mailed a pkg containing our shampoo, toothpast, soap etc ( remeber wer not checking any bags) , I will have a garden grocer order and a Magical Stoller Delivery to pick up also. Otherwise we will be hangin at the pool hit up the pool bar and anxiously awaiting the rest of our party who should arrive around 3pm.
We plan to head to DTD around 5ish and Have Reservations at TREX at 7pm. Then it will be early to bed ( yeah right!) tomorrow we are heading to Aquatica ( our only non disney stop this trip)
Wednesday August 18...Aquatica Day.
We have breakfast reservations at OHANA's at 7am..then were planning on getting a bus over to DTD and then the LYNX bus to Seaworld and walking across the street to Aquatic. It sounds a little confusing but i think we will make it... I have never been to Aquatica so i dont really no what to expect. Lunch will be a grab and go in the park. We plan to leave the water park around 5ish.
I want to get back to AKL in time to rest and take showers before our Dinner reservation at 7:55 at BOMA. I am hoping this wont happen but i think the girls may be to tired to sit down at BOMA, so we may have to cancel this ressie.
