We got back to the hotel with very little time to spare. By the time we got the girls changed into their dresses it was nearly 4:00. Remember we had 4:30 BBB appointments. We literally ran down to the bus stop which had been relocated across the parking lot. (We left my Dad, Mark and the boys at the hotel. Their story will follow.) After waiting for what seemed like forever, we decided to grab a cab. Little did we know...A sigh of relief as we near the MK. We’ll make it! The relief turns to dismay as we realize we were headed to the TTC. Well, that was a waste of money! We hop on a monorail and frantically try to get ahold of someone at BBB. Not so easy. Our train approaches the MK stop and it’s now after 4:30. We tell my brother to run like the wind to the castle and tell them we’re coming. He takes off. So do we once we get through the turnstiles and get the girls into the stroller. Running in flip flops is not so easy!
As we approach the castle we are met by my brother coming down the ramp. We’re ok! They’re running behind. We didn’t arrive at the BBB until almost 4:50. The lobby was very crowded. One look inside and Abby decided this was not for her. No princess makeover for her today. Kaylin on the other hand, was hooked! As it turns out, I’m glad we weren’t on time as it was another half hour until Kaylin’s FGMIT called her name.
I was actually surprised at how small the boutique was. Every chair was full! I was also surprised at the number of girls who went the fake hair route. (I didn’t even give Kaylin that option.) This was so worth every penny. Kaylin had so much fun and so did Grandma and I watching. We left our Photopass card out so the photographer could grab it as needed. Kaylin was totally in her element. My Mom had the video camera going and I was taking pictures alongside the Photopass photog. We had plenty of images! The reveal brought tears to my eyes as my Peanut was so excited. She was beyond thrilled that she got a goody bag with her nail polish and make-up to take home.
I remembered that we could get more Photopass pictures taken at the store across the street so we ventured there. We showed our receipt and easy peasy, more images! Kaylin loved that Cinderella’s pink dress was here too. Once we finished here, we found the rest of our party and started to head out of the park as we had a date at 1900 Park Fare. We did stop at the stand where they create those amazing profile cut outs. Seriously amazing and a great keepsake of my little princess. And we did also have to stop for some Magic images!
We were on the monorail in no time and heading to the Grand Floridian. What an amazing hotel! We were a little worried that Grandpa and the boys were traveling alone, but they found us just as our buzzer buzzed. Perfect timing! This truly was a wonderful meal. The character interaction was fabulous and the food was too. Kaylin’s favorite character is Cinderella, so having special time with her, well, what more could a five year old want? Meeting Prince Charming? That brought two little girls to nervous giggles. Being chosen to dance with the Prince? Well, you can only imagine. The step sisters were an absolute riot, Braydon didn’t quite get why we all laughed when they asked if he was eligible. Carter got a nice big smooch on his forehead which remained for the rest of the night. The chef even prepared a special dessert for Kaylin because of her allergies. It was a tower of fruit and marshmallows served over ice cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup. Wow!
After dinner we spent a little time exploring the hotel. There was even a very precious father/daughter dance. By now our cherubs were quickly wilting, so it was time to head back. Heck, the grownups were beat too!
