Just caught up with your last two updates! The little boy lecturing you about the etiquette of lines was too much! Sometimes I don't know where children get their nerve from. I couldn't imagine speaking up to an adult like that when I was a child: I was glad that you put on your teacher voice with the boy in the bathroom too! What was that mother thinking? I really enjoyed all your pictures of the AKL - it's so beautiful at night and you captured some great shots! Loved all your purchases from the gift shop too. I can't wait for my August trip so I can buy some more 40th anniversary merchandise! So great that you made the morning opening show at MK. I have not gotten to see that show yet and I've been to WDW over 50 times. I can never seem to get anyone up early enough to make it there on time. I'm hoping that my upcoming trip will be the winner when I get there early! Your pictures of Stefanie with all the characters are sooo precious! You can tell how comfortable she feels with Cinderella and all the Princesses looked like they really loved what they were doing. Can't wait for more.

I am just catching up with your TR after being out of town for 3 weeks! I loved your review of Universal and WWoHP, but I am a little disappointed you didn't get the chance to review Three Broomsticks since we are hoping to eat there in October. Was it just really crowded?

Also, if I could play devil's advocate for a bit, while the kids in the bathroom were crazy and the situation was strange, we don't really know what the mom was busy with. I'm just glad you were there to set them straight. I have sent my older kids to check on younger kids when I have been busy with even more kids (I have 4). Although, I wouldn't send a opposite sex child of that age into the restroom. But you never know what that mom may have been dealing with at the time. But thank you for stepping up!!

making rope drop at MK this time around! She really feels comfortable with all the characters and usually chats with them non-stop.

We ate lunch at Mythos and never once got hungry enough to go in Three Broomsticks. It was exceptionally crowded at lunch time, but you could easily get in when we were there at dinner time.

Around 1:30 this afternoon the phone rang while I was in the scrapbook room working on our June 2011 book. Stefanie was in charge of answering the phone, but it just kept ringing. I asked her who it was because she knows to answer only if it is someone we know. She yelled back to me, "Disney!" I yelled, "Answer it!" while running to get to a phone. The answering machine had picked up, but I quickly answered and then spend the next 20 minutes talking with Eli, from DVC customer service. He was responding to my e-mail complaint about check in at AKL Club Level on June 7. He asked lots of questions in order to best devise a plan for this never to happen to anyone else again. Eli told me there is a backup plan in place for all resorts, so we should have been checked in manually and because we were staying Club Level, we should have been greeted and taken upstairs immediately. Even if they had no way of knowing through their computers, my letter of confirmation (which I did show to each CM) should have been enough. I also requested that Ann, the Club Level concierge who took us upstairs, be commended for making sure that we were indeed finally taken care of. As compensation, 9 AKLV DVC points were returned to our account. Disney customer service! Eli was very friendly and very interested in making resort stays better for everyone. I truly appreciate that! Eli assured me that every e-mail is taken seriously and to feel free to let Disney know of concerns or commendations whenever we felt these were necessary.

Glad you finally heard back from Disney! What he said should have happened is what I felt should have happened as well.... they should have been able to check you in manually and either way you should have been allowed into the lounge, being a concierge guest.... Glad they offered you some compensation and hopefully no other guests will have this issue in the future...

I loved the pictures of Stefanie and the princesses, but the ones with Cinderella are extra special! Looks like a lot of fun with those silly chipmunks too.

I was so happy after our conversation that some things will change at AKL to deal with the computers being down.
