I’m a Disney veteran. But first time visit for my son, Eric and Chris and her boys.
Now on with the show.
I’m of the mind set that once I leave work I’m on vacation. Even if I’m not leaving for a few days, as soon as I clock out- I’m done – so that is where I’ll begin.
Thursday 10/13, I worked half a day. I left right at noon and went to get my car washed but because it was overcast and rain predicted, it was closed. Well I just saved myself $15.00 thank you very much. My niece was going to be watching my dogs while we were away and was planning on using my car to hop back and forth from her house to my house. We live in the same neighborhood but she doesn’t have her own car. This way she won’t have to bum a ride from her parents. Anyway, I wanted to have the car cleaned up for her but that didn’t happen.
I was able to come home and grab some lunch and throw my bed sheets into the laundry. I then got a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed. Feeling all cleaned up and a little less “hairy” I was off to pick up Evan from daycare. I took him to choir rehearsal and then had to pick up my sister’s kids from school. She wanted to work late on her last night before vacation.
My house was all picked up and clean so I took all the kids to my sister’s. She picked up pizza on the way home and we had a quick dinner.
Evan and I skedaddled out of there fairly early. Our flight was leaving 6am the next morning so it would be an early night. He was in bed by 8pm and me by 10pm. I finally drifted off to sleep while visions of Disney World danced in my head.
Glad you've started, Holly! Nice, relatively relaxing before-departure day. Of course, that's only because you've been preparing at full-speed for months!
