And I agree with Linny. It sounds bad, but it's really not and the pain does go away. I got 2 in my foot once and it took a day or two to make the pain from the shot go away but I didn't feel pain in my foot afterwards for years. I hope PT or massage works for you though.
Sorry about all the confusion with the CM at City Hall but I am so happy it all workd out, what a wonderful surprise this will be for your dad. Worried to hear what turned out to be the worst CS lunch ever....I usually nver associate that with the MK but I guess every place has their bad days.
Hope everything works out with your pain. If the shot will help you might want to consider it. I've had to have a couple surgeries that I was terrified of, but the last one I had was the best thing I ever did. And I almost didn't do it.
Glad to hear you were able to do something special for your dad. I hope it all turned out and you had a magical moment.
Oh man...don't leave us hanging!! Hope is adorable at the Roy/Minnie bench. Can't wait for your next update, although I am a bit worried about what happens....
for your shoulder. I had horrible shoulder pain a little over a year ago with no answers as to why. I ended up at the chiropractor and that took care of the pain.
I am so glad that they finally found someone to help you with the ceremony - I was getting a bit worried about the first Cast Member you dealt with.
The next installment isn't sounding good...
I think this was the first time we had trouble with CMs not being as friendly and helpful as they have been in the past. It was a little sad.

I couldn't believe how much better I felt the very next day, and for months after too. Hopefully you may not need it, but if you do, know that a state of no pain will be right around the corner
OK, Hope and Roy are really too cute for words there!! And so glad you got the situation taken care of with your Dad ( but I kinda knew this from FB) Looking forward to see how it all unfolds.
Okay, well first of all, just reading this..."going through and under my knee cap" made my stomach roll. Then it made me think, that must be a pretty long needle to do that, which scared the crap out of me! You're right though, sometimes the pain is just too much to deal with and you'll do anything to make it stop. I'm getting to that point, but first I'm getting a massage tonight from a therapist who focuses on sports injuries, so hopefull that will help. If not, I'm going to have to make a date with the needle.

Hmmm...trying to figure out where you're talking about. Could it be the Commissary at HS??? Never eaten there, but heard bad things about the place. I will say, mine isn't a result of bad food, so that may ease your mind a bit.

So, you can read my reply to Linny and what her response did to me, but then I got to yours, and when I read this..."it took a day or two to make the pain from the shot go away", I thought, so not only do I have to deal with the needle hurting when he's giving me the shot, but it also hurts a couple of days after that?!?! That must definitely be one long needle!!! I don't know if I can do it, but I also don't want to be in pain anymore. I'm really hoping this massage tonight helps out, or I'm going to be a nervous wreck.

Like I told Sharon, the CS lunch has nothing to do with the food quality, so don't worry about that. I actually like the food at this place, so I was a little bummed that this happened.

See, I've had a few scary surgeries myself, but I was asleep when they were doing all the bad stuff. So if they could just put me to sleep to give me this shot, I'd be okay with it.

Sorry about the cliffhanger! Hope is very lovey dovey, so she likes to give lots of things hugs and kisses...I try to keep the kissing to a minimum for sanitary reasons though.

So glad that you got everything sorted out and your dad is going to help with the Flag retreat. Can't wait to see how you surprise him!
I'm sure Linny & I were not trying to scare you away of the needle even more. I hope the massage works out and if not the shot won't be too bad - just look away. I stick myself all the time (darn diabetes) and I still look away when I get blood drawn.

Oh, I know you weren't trying to scare me, it's just that even words can make me feel weird when it comes to needles or blood. I know it's just a mental thing because half the time they don't hurt (although I think this one will), it's just the thought of what's happening that makes me get light headed. It's weird, because Chad also used to give himself injections before they put him on the monthly infusion drug he's on now. When his tremors got really bad he couldn't give himself the shot anymore, so I learned to do it. No problems at all. Plus, I've gotten a tattoo for goodness sake!!!
The massage really helped. It's been so long since I've had one, so I'm not sure if that's why I feel different, but this morning I wasn't in any pain, and that's how I usually wake up...in pain. I'm sore from where she really got into my muscles, but I can actually touch my shoulder and rub it without feeling sick to my stomach, so that's a step in the right direction. I took some Aleve this morning just to help with the soreness, and I'm hoping in a couple of days I'll really notice if it worked. If not, I'm just going to suck it up and get the shot. I'll just keep telling myself, "I'm a big girl...I can do this".
Well I hope the massage worked! And if not, you can handle the shot. You may not like it, but in the end I'm sure it will be for the best as that sounds really bad what you were just describing - just touching it making you feel sick. Not good!
All caught up! Love 50's! We actually sat at the table next to you under the tv when we were there in Dec! So glad everything seems to be working out for the flag retreat. We were able to catch it once while eating at Tony's and it looks like a really special moment! My hubby has that same shirt that Chad is wearing in MK, the grey football shirt from ESPN! And yes, Hope is adorable even when she isn't cooperating with you!
