What great photos from Epcot! The small museum area, if I'm thinking of the right one, has always been there, but they do change the exhibits and that looks like a new one, compared to the last time we went in there.
Wonderful photos from Epcot! Yes, that museum in the Morocco pavilion has always been there. I always check it out, along with the wonderful museum in the Japan pavilion.
I started my morning at MK, but no rope drop for me this morning, no I slept in and probably didn't get to the park until about 10am. I grabbed a FP for Jungle Cruise (the standby line was like 40 min!) and then headed over to Pirates, which had a standby of 30 min, but I think it was probably a bit less.
Jack's Pirate Tutorial had already started when I got off of PotC and I hung around to watch the rest of it. One day I will catch the whole thing because it never fails to make me laugh. Not only at the scripted jokes, but the little kids they get up on stage are always funny as well.
By the time the Tutorial was over my FP had ripened so I headed on over there. I think I have about a million pictures of the Jungle Cruise, but it's like a disease, I HAVE to take pictures, lol.
I really like that last photo. I grabbed it while we were waiting to pull into the dock to disembark. I headed over to Splash Mountain next and grabbed a FP. I know I had some time to kill before I could ride, but I don't remember what I did...I do know I used my phone (Mobile Magic app again) to grab a lunch reservation at The Plaza while I was waiting. I think I ended up wandering into Frontierland and going to the Shooting Gallery and then wandering the shops. At any rate, my FP was eventually ripe and I boarded my log. I was brave and actually took some on-ride photos this time around too.
The did have the water cannons on, but I was spared their watery wrath. I love the expressions of the kids in my ride photo, lol I headed over to much lunch reservation after SM. I had to wait a few minutes outside before I was seated and it just AMAZES me how irate people get when there aren't any walk up reservations. Once I was seated I had the Chicken Strawberry Salad - fresh garden greens, grilled chicken breast, fresh strawberries, gorgonzola cheese, tossed in a white zinfandel vinaigrette dressing. It was huge and quite yummy.
After lunch I wandered back into Adventureland and was able to jump into the line for Ariel and Eric. After a good 30 minutes of waiting I finally got up to my M&G, which was lovely. Ariel complimented me on my necklace and there was pleasant chit chat. I know the photopass photog took a picture of us posing...so imagine my dismay when the photo below was the only one of the encounter on my cd.
Yes, really... But, barring this and one other mis-step by the photopass people (my Aladdin photographers camera dying right before my turn) I was overall really happy with the pictures I got this trip.
My cousin Alyson's cheer team was performing at DHS today at 3pm so I hopped on the bus and headed over there. I met up with Lani and we watched in the stands until it was Aly's turn then we got to go down onto the floor to cheer her team on. It was very exciting actually and Aly's team did wonderfully.
After the performance I hung around with Lani and Aly and they managed to have me included on their dinner reservation at Hollywood and Vine. This was my second time eating dinner there and it confirmed my dislike of their buffet. I just don't like the selection that they offer.
We pretty much just wandered around and did some shopping until around 6pm when we went back to watch another Cheerforce team perform. Lani and Aly had to go back to their hotel to do team stuff and get ready for their final performance on Sunday and I headed back to OKW to start packing
It was so amazing not only getting to see my family while on vacation, but also getting to cheer on my cousin doing what she loves. Her team ended up winning their division, so go CF Rockstarz!!
Great pix of all the ride details on Jungle Cruise and Splash. That strawberry salad (minus the chicken) at the Plaza is what I always order. So refreshing, filling and yummy! What fun to meet up with family!
