Good Luck! I hope the swim lessons do well! My oldest (4) loved the pool last year - in-laws got a pool and the became quite the fish. I hope my youngest (18 months) gets used to it as right now he HATES bath time even.
@ohToodles...Jimmy has NEVER been a pool/water person. He has some very definite fears (which I don't quite understand...getting his fingernails/toenails cut is a MAJOR production and you'd think that at age 6 we'd have passed this). He doesn't like the head under the water. I try to explain that if he swims he won't have to get his head under the water. I just so want him to tread water (at the least). I'm feeling pressure from my mom and in turn am passing that stress onto Jimmy. Not a good thing.
Ok...we are at 15 days and I still haven't really started packing (which for me is late). Was going to start last weekend, but "life" got in the way and this weekend being Easter...well...
At least we did get to the bank and cash in our change jar (only $46, but every bit helps). Made sure we got lots of singles for our tips envelopes (one for mousekeeping every day, DME driver tips, etc). Still haven't gotten the envelopes together (I may not have time to do my traditional cute "clip art" ones that I think I've "borrowed" from someone here).
And I did get my rewards card in the mail. Have been so crazed that hubby took the time to activate it.
In other news, I have even more appreciation for Mickey and friends. Yesterday, our office had an egg dying contest (this is the first attempt at fun the division has had in YEARS). I promised a special "celebrity" guest. And the guest was none other than the Easter Bunny (or me in the EB costume).
I stripped down to next to nothing (tank and shorts...just in case something went "wrong" and I was exposed or had to get out of it quickly) and was in it for almost an hour. WOW! How hot and cumbersome! Now this "suit" will fit "most" adults. I am shorter than most, so it made it a bit more difficult. I could only partially see (which is why I kept tilting my head down so I could figure out where I was). While I had a handler, I was also on my own for a while and it was hard to figure out where to do and what to do. A second person took me to the 2nd floor (thank goodness we have an elevator) and all around the offices up there. She had to hold onto my hand because I had no idea where I was going...
It was alot of fun being the bunny, but I felt like I couldn't breath really well (claustrophobia?) and it was HOT. So my hats off to Mickey and all his pals. I've always known it's not an easy job, but now I appreciate it even more!
You all are getting so close now! Luke has dressed up a few times for parties and events in his Batman suit and he always says it gets extremely hot in the costume.
At 15 days, I FINALLY got the suitcases out. (Mostly because I was working from home today and the visitors we were supposed to have tomorrow cancelled on us...which is a relief because we have so much going on this weekend). Have 2 suitecases (Jimmy's and mine) and 2 carry ons (Again, Jimmy's and mine, although you can guess who carries them!). Now I just have to fill them!
In other news, tomorrow is supposed to be our annual block easter egg hunt. Guess who may have to go into the costume again!
First - not to hijack - but - Marnie! You better get on it! You're making me nervous!
How great that you had an egg dyeing contest and the EB came! I wish we could do that, but I think we were told it was too 'religious' or something like that. Heck! We get Good Friday off as a Holiday - I don't see why we can't celebrate the reason we get that holiday.
