Finally Brendans turn- pre-trip report About This Page:

My last 2 trip reports were focused on the boys band trips to WDW where they marched on Main Street in MK. Jamie marched in 2008 - a dream comes true- Jamie marches on Main Street & Brendan & Jamie marched in 2010- left with 2 came back with one TR. Finally, it is Brendan's turn to have the whole spotlight.. he will be marching in the Electric Light parade as a (I can't believe it) Senior & the electric light parade is a first for our High School band.

Now for us...

Who:

Me, Ann, 49YO.. certified Disney nut & planner of trips
DH, Jim, 42. equally nutty about Disney
DD, Shelby,14YO going on 24 sometimes.. loved being an 'only' last trip & is looking forward to it again.

co- starring:

DS2, Brendan 17YO... excited to be marching in the electric parade

missing
DS1, Jamie, he is taking 18 credits at college this semester & has 2 'can't miss' classes. Since the band is performing on a Tuesday night he can't come to Disney with us... he's sooo bummed... not sure if it's missing watching his brother or getting to ride the new Star Tours

loyal dog, Leia.. 1YO this is the first time away from her & I know it's going to be hard to leave her.

When: March 31, our plane lands at MCO at 7:45pm to April 4, flight leaves MCO at 7:45pm.

Why: to watch Brendan march of course & to have a nice Disney break. Jim & Brendan were involved in a car accident in August & Jim had to have rotator cuff surgery in late December due to the accident & has been out of work since then.. we've been dealing with doctors, insurance companies etc for so many months Disney will be a nice break from it all.

Where: Pop Century 5 day hopper passes with dining plan

Plans: we have no definite touring plans set in stone except for seeing Brendan march on Tuesday (4/3) evening..

ADR'S: We all have favorite restaurants but one place is a 'must do' EVERY trip.. Chef Mickey's!!! for breakfast & we try to do CM the first morning... Well, I only booked this trip last week & when I went to make ADR's Chef Mickey was booked solid, not only for breakfast but ALL DAY, every day we were there!! . I know to keep checking back & vowed to check daily.. fortunately last night we were able to secure the Chef Mickey's ADR.

We all also requested special table service meals.. here is the break down & tentative touring plan.

MK has extra magic hour (morning) every day this week we are there.. not sure how many EMH's we will do

Saturday: no ADR's set as we're getting there so late. we plan to check in & then head over to MK ( our go to park on our first day) it's open until 1am so we should have enough time to get in a couple of rides. Well probably grab a bite to eat at Columbia Harbor house or Pecos Bill ( 2 of our fave MK, counter service places)

Sunday : Itr's Epcot EMH & if we don't make it there, we will avoid that park & probably go to DHS or maybe AK for the afternoon.. then mid-day swim/relax at the resort. we have 5:25 ADR's for Boma ( one of our favorites for dinner ) after Boma we'll probably head to MK as they have evening EMH

Monday.. if we do EMH, it's at MGM if not we'll sleep in & go to breakfast at Chef Mickey's (our absolute favorite breakfast TS)

not sure what we'll do after that.. everything open until our dinner at Planet Hollywood at 9:15p. this was DD pick as she wants to see the Jonas brothers handprints there.. Does anyone know if they're still there?? (they'd better be) I also the Captain Crunch chicken there.

Tuesday: we have breakfast ADR's at 1900 Park Fare.. this one was my choice as I loved the lobster eggs benedict the last trip & Im' hoping it's there again .

After that it's 'wing it' again.. probably head over to any park we didn't do or just relax at the resort then head to MK to wait to watch Brendan march on Main Street. Since this is a whole new experience for our band, we don't know where to stand or how good pf pictures/videos we'll get . We're probably going to grab dinner at Pecos Bill or Columbia Harbor House (wherever we didn't go on Saturday)

Wednesday.. go home day . we usually just wing it again.. except I don't like to end my trip at MK so that's the only park I don't go to on the last day.

Will add more of our plans as these become more solid

Okay, in my planning I was re-reading my old trip reports & I saw that we pre-ordered the photopass CD (& saved $50) does Disney still offer that?

Another photopass question... Anyone know how late the photopass photographers take photos??I'
DH & I were discussing pre-ordering the CD it got me wondering, since DS2 is marching before the electric parade will be photopass photographers still be taking photos at that time .. does anyone know if they have certain hours which they work??

I really don't want to buy the CD if it's just going to be shots of DH, DD & I.. I want the band shots...

I can't find any info regarding hours on the photopass web site
