Well, I was undecided as to whether I should start a PTR or not .... the reason - last year we had to cancel and I was devastated.
But I am "Crossing MY fingers and saving my pennies" in hopes that it really happens this year. I have contemplated duct taping my fingers together for the next few months, but realize that might be a bit extreme.
So I have paid my deposit and booked my trip in hopes that all is good. Here are the details:
We are going on a first ever family vacation and where better to spend it than at WDW
Who's going .... ME (of course) I will be turning 40 July 31st, so I figure it's kind of a celebration for me!!! (any excuse .... right?!?)
My DH - Ron (will be 38) {AKA Grumpy, anti-Disney, being forced to go} I really hope he learns to LOVE Disney. He is a wonderful, hard working man who deserves a vacation more than any of us.
DS Ollie .... (will be 16 at the time of travel) Ollie is the only one of us that has been to Disney, he went with his Dad when he was 11 .... so he is able to help me out with a little planning.
DS Denver ... (will be 7 at the time of travel) Denver is very timid and might not want to ride any 'bigger' rides.
DS Dierk ... (will be 5 at the time of travel) Dierk is an animal lover, and I know he will love Animal Kingdom
Congrats on booking, looks like you are planning to stay at our favorite resort Port Orleans Riverside . Hopefully some good deals come out for your travel dates so you can save some money

That's right .... POR (I guess my ticker gave it away!) and I did get a great deal .... but more on that in a bit
OK .... before I carry on with my PTR, how do I respond and quote multiple responses in one post? Can someone please help me.
See the little button to the right of "quote" button? The one with the ". That is for multiquoting I hit that on every post that I want to quote, using the regular "quote" button on the last post, and voila, you'll be able to respond to them in one post.
Where are we staying? I have us booked in at the Port Orleans Riverside complete with FREE dining (thanks to an offer for Canadians when I booked last August). I am super stoked about this!! We live in the country and this resort looks sooooo peaceful and beautiful. We will be staying in the Alligator Bayou part and by the time we go, all rooms should have been renovated - it looks like it's going to be beautiful. (If anyone has been since the rooms have been renovated, I would love to hear your reviews and see pictures). The pool looks amazing too. My only questions (I will start researching these) that maybe some of you can help me with are: 1) Has anyone ever eaten at Boatwrights .... reviews? 2) What is the best location for us to stay ... young boys, like quiet, will probably use our own vehicle somedays
How are we getting to the world? My DH is a truck driver and used to driving and I like to drive, so why not save money and drive! So that is what we are doing. It should take us 24 hours driving straight through, but I am looking forward to it. We plan on leaving our home at 5:00pm on a Friday night. I am trying to decide if we should make the trip home into two days, maybe stopping for a day at Myrtle Beach for some Ocean time

Congrats on free dining!! I have never eaten at Boatrights so I can't offer an opinion. As far as buildings in the AB section I have only stayed in building 14 and it was perfect!

Thanks .... made me even more excited - even showed some of it to DH, he even cracked half a smile
My best recommendation for getting reviews on Boatwright's is to go to www.allears.net and go to the dining section and from there, you can read reviews people have written on the restaurant.
