Our shirts say Super Saturday 2012 on the front and the back is silly, "I like big books, and I cannot lie"
First of all 'bahahahahah'!!! Absolutely hysterical. And of course I am sitting at my computer rapping it to myself!! LOVE IT!!
I too don't like odd numbers!! Never met anyone else who didn't . Of course I was born on Oct. 23, Craig on Dec. 23 and 23 seems be our lucky number though.
I LOVE to organize!! Love little containers, labels and things in their place. I'm not as good at finding the time to do it as you are, but when I get to organize, I'm in heaven!!
I seriously didn't even pick you out in that class photo until I read further and went back and looked!! If I can look like Cam when I'm 50 + 1 I'll be thrilled!!
I've heard from so many of my friends over the years that they thought I was stuck up until they got to know me because I can be shy until I get to know someone. Then watch out cause you can't shut me up!! (Insert Linny comment here... )
Sounds like Stef had a great birthday with some great presents and hopefully a turn around in her health! I think I might need one of those notebooks for my November trip planning. And add me to the group that will be looking forward to you switching to the fall trips. (Early November is beautiful in WDW just in case you were wondering )
I love the shirts!!! I sang the shirt to Katie. She just rolled her eyes. She is taking AP Language in the fall. I asked her which AP English she is taking and she said the one without the Othello type language thank you very much.
Love love love the shirts. It was just too cool. Sorry about working Saturday but it's just great that you still get such reward out of working with the kids.
That's really cool that Steph got picked as a Sweet Sixteen.
Hmmm... That sounds a lot like our church! A friend of mine visited a couple of weeks ago and asked if it was always like that. I said yes. She said, "well there is certainly no getting bored in your church!" That same Sunday, the children were in the adult service (they are always in the adult service the last Sunday of the month) Asher said to the Pastor, "that was pretty good! I didn't even fall asleep one time!" The Pastor smiled and said, "awesome Asher! I'm glad I could keep you awake!"
That is so cute of Asher! We had some damage to our church with the storm that came through on March 2. Our church campus is actually a renovated mall and the worst damage was where we have done the least structural remodeling, the mall itself. Our children's ministries our housed there, so last weekend the kids were all in church with us. I kind of wish we had them once a month too as their energy that night was inspiring. One little girl kept getting away from her parents and dancing up the aisle.

And I am so happy to know that she is feeling better, eating better and acting like her old self! I actually could tell that she was feeling better when we talked on the phone the other night! She was full of enthusiasm!!! I our little talks!
It really does not surprise me that she was chosen to be in the Sweet Sixteen! Stefanie is so full of life!!!
It looks like you have a great group of young people in your class!
I love your shirts! What a great picture of you and your co-teachers!
She got up this morning a bit grumpy and hasn't eaten yet, but at least she is drinking. I'm hoping Grump dwarf is replaced my Happy ASAP.

We have only even numbered birthdays here: Luke and Stefanie, Oct. 8 and March 8 respectively, Cam and Kevin, July 18 and Sept. 18 respectively. We were all born in an even year, except Kevin (1983). Cam -- 1958, Luke 1960, and Stefanie 1986. By the way, my youngest sister does not like odd numbers either, and she was born on June 8, 1964.
And everyone is making me feel so good that I blended right in with my students.
We're hoping to retire in a couple of years and then WDW trips can be any time we want.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!
I wish I had taught AP Lang for years as it is the most fun I've had teaching in a long, long time. We study rhetoric and read informational texts, i.e. articles, essays, letters, memoirs, and speeches.

I think I have a list just like Stefanie's!
I love the Shutterfly luggage tags. I've gotten them as grandparents gifts a couple times and we use one to mark the stroller too.
The when of our trips is fairly predictable since we both still work full-time. We check our the school calendars as we both work for school systems to discover how early in June we can plan to head south. For a number of years now we have had extreme winter weather that leads to numerous snow days. Then the snow days extend our school calendar later and later. Back in 2003 and 2004, we'd get out of school about 2 weeks before our WDW trip, plenty of time to pack and build up excitement. But for the past 6 or 7 years, we've gotten out much later, and the past two years, I've worked the day and night (school closing hours for teachers) before leaving the next morning. Our calendars are approved for the next school year in February, so we knew last February that the last official day of school including make-up days would be Friday, June 1. Since we didn't know what kind of winter weather we would have we chose Sunday, June 3 to start our trip. That way we wouldn't run into problems with work and I might even have a day of rest before flying out.
Now when to end the trip had to be decided. We usually stay 12 - 14 days, planning to get back in time for Luke to have a day or two of rest before returning to the real world. With the points we had available we could manage 13 days this year, so our end date would be Friday, June 13.
So far we've only missed 1 day of school due to a much milder (and more normal) winter. We're hoping that no snow or floods cause us to miss anymore school. I might actually have a few weeks to prepare for this trip after school is out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
WHERE
The where was not too difficult either. We have equal points at both Saratoga Springs and Animal Kingdom Lodge. We alternate staying at AKLV with a stay somewhere that Luke or Stefanie chooses. Last year was Kidani Village so this year will be somewhere else. Since we stayed at Beach Club two times in 2010, Stefanie has been asking to stay at the Boardwalk. We've visited this resort almost every year since 2003 either to dine or to shop. (Stefanie has a favorite gift shop here.) So last June when we began to talk about where to stay next year, she brought up BWI again. Luke and I were on board as we liked the idea of staying at an Epcot resort again as the proximity to both Epcot and DHS can't be beat. I'm so excited about walking through the International Gateway again.
So many PPers have had great stays at this resort, so we are very excited to try it out for ourselves.
I took this photos across the lagoon when we were staying at BC in June 2010.
On our November 20120 trip, Luke took this picture of Stefanie and me on the bridge by BWI after shopping at one of Stefanie's favorite gift shops.

Looking forward to reading about your stay at the BW! One of these years we'll stay at an Epcot resort, until then, I'll live through these TRs What's the gift shop Stefanie likes? Maybe we'll have to check it out.

Can't wait to hear how you like Boardwalk as that is a great possibility next year. This year is already planned for Beach Club/Old Key West split. first time for 10 days! 13 days would be awsome!!
