Oh no...no luggage after midnight! Glad to hear bell services brings them as late as 1 am. You had one long first day...but we like to go to a park on arrival day too!

My DD in college loves Bingo nights. She usually wins gift cards for pizza, etc... Your son reminds me of her that way!

Day Two: Sunday 4/1

After getting to sleep long after 2am I was shocked that when Stitch called at 6am I was ready to go.. I got up & got my shower while Jim ran to the food court for coffee for us.. After my shower Shelby got up & got ready.

We were on the bus to Epcot by 7:15am.. It was a short ride & there was a very small line waiting at rope drop .. That would change & the line got a lot bigger by 8am.. Once the Cm's dropped the ropes the people were like wild animals, running into the park... I laughed & we walked slowly into the park.. We kept with our theme of ride whatever had the smallest line...

Test track had a 5 minute wait so we got in line there.. it's been a couple of years since I rode Test Track & I still love it.. It is such a cool ride.

After test track we decided to see what Soarin's line looked like.. 20 minutes.. not too bad so we hopped in line there. While I love Soarin I am petrified of heights so I always feel a little 'anxious' on here.. Well, my seat buckle felt loose to me & I know I was safe because of tugging on the yellow strap but I still felt uneasy & really didn't enjoy the ride, I just knew the seat buckle was going to come undone & I'd fall out.

Once we came out of Soarin the smell of bacon enticed us to Seasons & we thought about having breakfast there but nothing appealed to us.. None of us wanted a breakfast sandwich..

We decided to ride some more rides & if World Showcase was open by then, we'd go & have lunch there.. if not, we'd go back to the resort & eat an early lunch.. It was already 90 degrees.

The park wasn't busy at all.. Wait, I take that back.. the only ride I saw with a line is Spaceship Earth.. I guess the people entered the park & headed right for the big ball.

None of us had ever seen Captain EO so we wanted to go there... OMG how cool is that ride? yes, it's dated but it was so 80's to me I loved it.. I loved the pre-show.. probably because Jamie is such a Star Wars fanatic & seeing early George Lucas made me think of Jamie (& miss him yet again on this trip) . I also saw lots of Star Wars influences in the film.. the purple elephant resembled a Star Wars character (to me). I sure hope they keep the attraction so Jamie can at least see it once. Shelby thought it boring & wanted to wait in line for SE.

After we left Captain EO I wanted to go to JITYI.. Shelby started whining that it was boring & she didn't want to ride it.. I won & we got in line.. well, one of the CM's was very young ( probably college age) & Shelby thought he was sooo good looking.. she HAD to take a picture of him.. (which she did sneakily) She then did enjoy the ride because the 'hot' boy worked there,,, (she also wanted to ride again) this would be the norm for Shelby she was checking out all the 'hot' boys .. oh wow! to be a teen again!!

It was getting VERY hot & I thought WS opened at 10 (I don't know why???) so we started to walk that way but not before I got a pic of the upside down fountain

Well on our way to WS I stopped in the Butterfly garden & enjoyed seeing all of the neat butterflies & how they grow.. Jim & Shelby pronounced it 'stupid' & sat on a bench to wait for me.

As we were walking we were ushered to the side by CM's & a High School marching band came through... Cool! It got me excited for seeing Brendan march on Tuesday.

We walked a little more & then another band came through...

We then realized that WS didn't open until 11 & it was still 10:30.. We decided to head back to the resort & spend the afternoon by the pool.

As we were walking back to FW.. One of the bands was doing a stop performance right in front of Innoventions. I stood there watching & cheering & yes, tearing up.. thinking that Tuesday was going to be Brendans last parade EVER!!

Since the park wasn't busy we headed into Mousegears to look around so Shelby could get some ideas as to what souvenirs to get her friends . I think there was a total of 5 people in the store & it was heaven to look around without bumping into someone.. this was a first for us.. Jim & Shelby amused themselves trying on hats

I was on the look out for a dog toy to bring back home to Leia but there was none to be found.. Shelby saw a couple cute ideas to buy my great-nephew but nothing really caught her eye for her friends.. A friend of hers had given her $$ to buy a gift (Mickey bracelet) for his Girlfriend & Shelby used the 20% off coupon that was on the bottom of our Pecos Bill receipt (I love that feature but hate that it has to be used before 12 )

On our way out Shelby got a few photos in front of the ball.. She wanted to try to do a basketball shot

Coming up: the promised Wrath of Ann

We headed back to POP & changed into our bathing suits & went to the food court in search of some lunch.. Breakfast was just ending & lunch menu was being put on the signboard.. I walked around & could not decide what I wanted.. I was kinda wanting breakfast & the one station still had a few things available but it was mostly breakfast sandwiches which didn't appeal to me.

I looked in the coolers & saw they had sushi... it looked good so I decided to get that but knew I would also need something more as that wasn't filling.. Jim had already decided what to eat & gone through the line & was sitting down..

Shelby got a burger (Wow! not her usual Chicken caesar salad) I told her to wait for me & we'd check out together... I decided on a Mediterranean chicken flatbread.. got in line & ordered & the CM said it would take a few minutes as it's made to order... There was a man in front of me waiting as well & then another lady came up behind me & ordered the same thing & was told the same thing.. I had forgotten a tray so I stepped out of line appx 5 steps & when I turned around & the lady had outed my place in line.. I giggled to myself at first & the man saw what the lady did & let me go back into place. well, I guess the lady became impatient because she stepped completely out of line & went somewhere else.. THe man got his food & then I was 'first' in line.. well, the flatbreads were done & the lady was trying to get back into line but no one was letting her so she tried to get in front of me (there was no room) she literally went beserk.. she was scurrying around like a mouse trying to get in a hole.. Shelby had come to meet me at this point & gave me a "what's her problem" look & I just laughed.. it got so bad that once they called our flatbreads the lady yelled & wanted the first one.. at this point she was starting to make me mad so I just let her take it.. & took the second one..

We got in a short line (which should have been my first clue this wasn't going to go good) & I told the CM that I wanted to use 2 QS credits & payfor the Sushi on my room charge .. He looked at my flatbread & couldn't find it on his touchscreen.. I looked over & saw it & pointed it out to him.. He said that was only this 2nd day ... then he couldn't find Sushi.. Again, I reminded him that I wanted to pay room charge for the Sushi & I also asked that we have our dessert for later.. he rang me up & then said I forgot to ring up your dessert, he couldn't figure out how to fix it & he had to call his manager.. the manager was extremely nice & within seconds had it fixed & our receipt stamped for later.

I went to the table where Jim was almost done with his lunch & when I looked at the receipt I saw that the CM had charged me for 2 QS meals.. I didn't have my glasses so I kept asking Jim to read it & he kept saying he didn't understand, which infuriated me.. Now, I know I'm the trip planner & everything but it should be simple to see if we were charged for 3 meals or 2.. He kept saying he didn't understand.. Finally I held the receipt across the room for me to see & saw that he did charge me a QS meal for the Sushi.. Now I don't think I would have cared if I had got a side dish or drink with it but I didn't.. I went back up the register & there was a guest screaming at the CM .. I guess he messed up on someone elses order.. They called a different manager over & she handled the guest & then went off on the CM ( yes, right in front of me) She told him she felt he needed to work with another CM for a few more days as he wasn't ready to be on his own..

Finally, she looked over & saw me & I explained what had happened & she was rude with me as well.. She had her food with her when the CM called her & as I was explaining what happened she kept 'huffing' like she was waiting for me to get to the point.. At this point I was frazzled & said that she needed to maybe get a different attitude .. she didn't apologize but took my receipt & rang something up & then gave it back.. I again reinterated that she didn't have the Disney spirit ..

The receipt she gave me looked strange & it looked again as if I were charged with 3 QS meals.. Again I didn't have my glasses so I wasn't sure & I snapped on Jim & demanded he go to the front desk to check on this..He kept saying he didn't understand but reluctantly went to the front desk to see..

Once he came back we found out that they credited me for the Sushi & didn't charge me for it in the end..

At this point my flatbread was cold but I was so hungry I ate it.. Well, I have IBS & that kicked in (probably from being so frustrated) & Jim & Shelby went to the pool & I headed back to the room to get my meds.

While there I realized that a lot of my anxiety was due to POP being a trigger for me.. I stayed at POP when Jim & I were separated & I didn't think I'd trigger but obviously something was putting me in a 'mood'.

I still wasn't feeling well but after getting 2 phone calls from Shelby asking where I was, I headed back to the pool.. Took me forever to find them . I lathered on the Sunscreen & layed on the lounge chair..

It was time for the kids activities & they were having a name that song contest.. It was fun to guess .

We swam & relaxed for most of the rest of the afternoon & watched the kids activities.. At one point while we were swimming, I came back to my lounge chair (with my clothes & shoes ON it) & found a lady sitting on it..I asked her if I could please have my chair back & she looked at me like I was taking HER chair.. I showed her my stuff on the chair & she rolled her eyes & grabbed her kids & walked away.. FYI.. she was only using MY chair not Jim's or Shelby's

This isn't the first encounter with rude people nor the first (or last) time I respond in kind during this trip..

Coming up: Boma!

What a frustrating lunch! I had a similar experience at Mara once when a lady was wandering around not sure how to order trying to weasel her way into line. I had ordered a salad that was made to order and when it was ready she butted right in and said it was hers. I asked her if she had ordered one and she insisted she had, everyone knew she hadn't. I just let her take it to get away from her, but it was very annoying.

Unfortunately, it was a lot of times ME being rude. I don't know why but things that I would shrug off previously, was making me fume...

Yes, this trip had a lot of rude people, which every busy time has.. the more people the more crazy, but this trip I LET them bother me .

I was not going to write all of that in my trip report but I felt it might be good to see someone being totally honest about themselves & how not to act in WDW

It's funny how cute boys totally change a teens view on a ride.

Hopefully the day gets less stressful. Some people are so impatient......it's annoying

The day started off good in Epcot, but what a frustrating afternoon with the rude people. Even though you said you let it get to you, it seems like you still had a good afternoon by the pool.
