It's sorta weird seeing Mickey and Minnie without their "clothes" in an appropriate color:
They look a little nekkid to me.
Of course you would say that!

I have an ADR at R&C for 7:45 for Sept and I hope we can score a great seat like that. I also wanted that same app but the Scoth Egg was throwing me for a loop, maybe I'll give it a whirl.
I Always think walking back to Poly from T&TC is quicker and I couldn't agree more with the idea of watching Wishes from the Poly. That is my hands down favorite thing to do!!!
Those flowers were eye-catching, right? And the Scotch egg is kinda bizarre when you think about it, but it was intriguing me, so I had to try it. It's good!

hiLARious! Had me lol at work at 3:45am.
The photo you took of Spaceship Earth and the monorail is just awesome. I've always said that you could do ads for Disney Parks.
I love that photo because it's a different angle from what you always see. And for once, I didn't have to stand around waiting for the monorail to go by.

The toughest part is having to plan to get a FP for when I want to return. Like if I want to ride something after dinner, I have to strategically plan to get my FP at a certain time. But because I'm an early riser, I usually knock out the big-ticket rides early in the day and don't use FP as much as I used to.

As for your teaser, I'm starting to think that the pirates just don't like you, Sha . Hope you are just "teasing" us and that you get to ride finally!
Yes, the strangest part about the conga line is that you have to start at "health." That's probably why a lot of people haven't ever seen it!

Being able to watch Wishes from the Poly is yet another reason I love that resort!

Yes, halfway through TR #4, a few weeks away from trip #5. Just sayin'.

Well, I thought it would be my family trip in late August, but as it turns out, it'll be a lot sooner!

Yes, she was one of those kids you see holding her ears and burying herself in my shoulder. And yes, you feel bad for them, but you're also really upset that you're missing out on a really good show!
So sorry Hope is afraid of the fireworks now. Maybe you should try earplugs?

Love the Poly so much and want to stay there again. But, as you know, I've created a stubborn monster with Craig and the BC. Not that I don't love the BC, but I LOVE the size of the Poly rooms!
Those scallops look absolutely amazing. And I was thinking some kind of pea risotto...YUM!!
There's a simple solution to this - a split stay!

Glad you got to see IllumiNations from R&C. Wishes from the Poly Lounge would be great. Hope you get to see it the next night!
The Sum of All Thrills is fun -- do you remember how many points you scored?
I think my score was 470. I didn't write it down, but I remember it was in the high 400s.

Day Three – Saturday, April 28 What do you mean Pirates of the Caribbean is down?!?!
I slept in a bit and didn’t get moving until around 7:00. After Jill and I were ready, we went to the lounge to enjoy some breakfast. I have to admit, it was nice just sitting there chatting with Jill, looking at the MK while enjoying breakfast. I wasn’t all the motivated to get to a park.
Our morning was so leisurely that we soon got a text from Bob & Larry that they were at the MK! And they’d beaten us there when they were staying at AKL and we were right across the lagoon! I let them know we would meet them after their first attraction, but their first attraction turned out to be the Main Street Bakery, so we caught up with them outside the Plaza ice cream shop.
The group decided that since I’d been unable to ride POTC on my last trip, we should head there first. As we walked over, I thought about the last time I’d been in the MK with Bob and Larry. We got stuck on Pirates. I was hoping it wasn’t a deadly combination again this time. We walked over and it was open!

However, when we got to the entrance, they announced technical difficulties and closed the door!

Oh noes! It was actually kinda funny, though, and the CM was game to take the above photo after I explained my troubles of the previous trip. We went next door and did the Jungle Cruise with hardly any wait. I didn’t take photos, which surprises me! Then we went over for another attempt on POTC, which appeared to be up again. I didn't have much confidence, though.

Success! I enjoyed the ride (finally ), but we all got wet. I got really wet! My shoes were squishy-soaked! And the others all got pretty wet as well. Next we went over to Splash Mountain, but I had already gotten a pretty good dousing, so my luck wasn’t with me, and I was wearing a white t-shirt, so I decided to skip it. Larry was kind enough to sit it out with me.
We did the Haunted Mansion next, enjoying the interactive queue.
That photo of Maestro Larry is so perfectly Larry it makes me smile! The ride was fun and Jill and I switched heads at the end. But we decided we were better off with our original heads, so we switched right back.
Then we went over to Philharmagic, which I’d managed to miss on my last trip. After that, we strolled through Fantasyland. I noticed some new walls up since the previous month, and I could see more progress had been made.
We had a look around Storybook Land. It looked much the same as it had the month before, but it was fun to see all the activity behind the walls. We all hopped on the train for a spin around the MK. Also, I wanted to check on the progress of BTMRR’s refurb. I find it sort of fascinating that they haven’t put up walls or scrim or anything and just let it all hang out there. I didn’t take a picture, but if you’re really curious, you can check my old TR.
We took the train the full loop and exited at Fantasyland. Then we walked the path to Tomorowland. I really enjoy that path and am happy to have it open again. I was up for Space Mountain, but nobody else wanted to do it, so I skipped it. I suggested we grab Buzz FPs because the return time was only a few minutes later than the posted wait time.
While we waited for our FP to ripen, we took a spin around Tomorrowland on the Peoplemover. As much as I love thrill rides, I adore the Peoplemover and consider it a must do on every trip. Luckily it’s an easy sell to pretty much any kind of park visitor.
Then it was on to COP. I don’t know why I love this attraction so much, but I do. Even when I was a little kid, I always loved it. Part of me wishes for an upgrade, but another part wants it to stay just the way it is.
When that was over, we used our FPs to ride Buzz. I had a horrible score of 43,600. It’s not my lowest I’ve done much worse, believe me but it’s incredibly puny next to Jill’s 999,999! She was totally showing me up in the games! Unlike some other friends I won’t mention, though, she didn’t rub it in or anything. I guess it helps that she and I are the same – really not so competitive as the other half of the CLQ.
I’d decided to not have a formal meal this day (well, except for dinner at Narcoossee’s) so I could enjoy some of my favorite snack treats at the MK. First on that list was a raspberry lemonade slush, so I got one of those while the rest of the group had lunch at Columbia Harbor House.
Jill and Larry got food, but Bob wasn’t hungry, so we went upstairs and found a table. After Jill and Larry finished eating (and it looked great, by the way), we went to watch the Country Bear Jamboree. This show is classic MK and so silly and fun! The waiting area was very warm – I couldn’t wait for the show to start. The heat must’ve done Bob in because he confessed that he wasn’t feeling well and wanted to return to AKL for a break.
Up Next: Getting our money’s worth out of the lounge

I'm so glad you were finally able to get on PotC! I love those pictures of you outside the ride!
I also super enjoy the Peoplemover, Carousel of Progress and Country Bear Jamboree. We don't have those at DLR anymore, so it was a real treat for me to go on those when I was there a few years ago. I can't wait to try them again on my next visit!

Finally a ride on Pirates!! I know it's been a long time for me, since I can't ride it when I'm touring alone, but that was a run of bad luck. (But I get to ride it at DLR this summer-- even better!) I've never gotten wet on that ride-- didn't even know the drop caused more than a mild splash. Do you usually take the launch or the monorail from the Poly?
Glad you finally got to ride Pirates ! How cool that the CM played along for some funny photos. I really, really like CoP too. That and the Peoplemover are the reason I head to Tomorrowland. How funny is that?
I have to admit, it was nice just sitting there chatting with Jill, looking at the MK while enjoying breakfast. I wasn’t all the motivated to get to a park.
Ohhhhhh... I so agree with this!! Some of the best times I've spent at Disney have been those quiet conversations with Jill (and .. okaaaay... Sharon and Karen too.) My fav memory of our December trip was when Jilly and I spent HOURS in the lounge swilling wine. I don't actually remember much of that, but I know I had a good time.

I don't know what it is about this picture, but it just makes me want to rush over to you and give you a big HUUUUUUUG!

If that happened to me, I'd hang onto Jilly's lovely figure.

Exqueeze me? It's not ME that's competitive!! Seriously, when I ride Buzz with Karen, I'm working hard to defend myself from bodily harm. Who CARES about the score? -- it's my teeth I'm worried about!
