Great couple of days! I love the pics from DHS, especially the magic shots. It looks like everyone enjoyed breakfast at H&V. We've never done that one before, and I'm sad now because my girls are getting past the point of liking those Disney Junior characters, so we probably won't be able to drag them there

Sorry you missed the MSEP, I would have been bummed too, it's my fave! Seeing the castle in it's icy glory at 3 am definitely made up for it though!

I am guessing that disney doesn't split up the counter service credits into adult and child because some of the counter service locations don't offer a child's meal. That is the only thing I can come up with becuase why on earth would disney lump them all together and lose money on the people who get the adult combo instead of the kids! I felt bad doing that becuase after all we paid for the childrens dining plan, but the cm's actually recommend it at some places which is nice.

That is cool that you got to see the castle being iced!

So you were there in Sept, is Josie in preschool or kindergarten? Did you have any problem or feel bad with her missing time right at the start of the school year? We are looking at Sept 14-21 and Sammy will have just completed his 3rd full week of kindergarten. When we went this past trip it really wasn't a big deal because he is in preschool 3 days a week 1/2 days so he didn't miss much and his teachers were so excited for him especially since we brought back gifts!

We were booked to go the last week in Sept but due to my hubs business trips we had to push it up a few weeks, I didn't feel bad because she was only still in pre-school because of her late Oct bday. As for the CS credits, I didn't feel bad about that either only because when I placed my order I had asked for 2 adult meals and a kids meal, this guy pretty much pushed me to get the 3 adult meals,

How much fun this has been! I found this TR this afternoon and have spent the rest of the day (and into tomorrow by the clock) reading through it. So many special things have happened for you and it's been great to hear about them - brought back some things that have happened to us over the years that I had forgotten - our youngest got a call from one of the characters at Jiko one night and was as thrilled as Josie. They really sell us every time we are there by giving our kids...okay and us too. those special little moments that you just don't get when you go other places!
We have always taken our kids from school to go too because we've gotten great PIN deals and because we are not big fans of spending thousands of dollars to stand in lines and be jostled by crowds. Our oldest is now graduating from high school this year and will be attending a college that offers the Disney Foreign Educational Exchange Program so I don't think it has negatively impacted his academic career but definitely made an impact And you bet mom will be going down for a few weeks in late fall of 2014 to visit her boy while he is living there!
Looking forward to reading about the end of your trip and your final thoughts.

I love the candid pic of Andre at the fountain during pool time, so cute
And heck, I could take a better picture of you in Mexico
I don't have a girl to buy a pear from, so I guess I'll just have to treat myself one of these trips.
I would have chosen Wishes again too. I do like Illuminations, but Wishes beats them all, and with the view you had, there's no choice
